This is such a joy to watch - you can literally see your Sora level up over these three days. The way you end up stringing custom aerial combos together on Day 3 literally looks straight out of Kingdom Hearts.

A good Sora is going to use every single part of his kit like they do in the game, mixing spells with keyblade techniques, and Day 3 definitely exemplified that. This is the example all Sora mains should follow if they want to bring out this character's full potential. Also a note, the loops ending in d-tilt sounded in rhythm with the music. Whether that was on purpose or just a coincidence, I applaud Dane for that.
@@Shantaq as someone who has played every kingdom hearts game I can’t say you use all of his kit in the main games. I feel like usually his combat comes down to pressing a, dodging a bit, with some of his spells (mainly curaga and some busted offensive spell). Even on the hardest difficulties

Wait, clip #2…you could feint neutral B magic by using up taunt. This could be good when you have thunder cycled in since the opponent would assume you’d be using that and have way more recovery frames.
Your editing is so freaking good. And the little homages you did that referenced the games like the introductions to fights and message bars was just the icing on top. Not to mention you just kick ass at this game. This was really cool to watch!
I don’t know if Dane’s playing online or with someone in particular, but I like how for every new DLC character his playing partner tries out the new character , then slowly plays better and better characters as they get more and more desperate to win.
Been waiting for this since the moment the character got dropped let's go you know this about to be amazing edit: didn't disappoint! seems like his go-to will be idj up air into up b for kill confirms, and his combos are just non-true aerial loops. that said, he can force a lot of 50/50s, or his non-true loops lead the opponent to mash air dodge, which can easily be hard punished with his fairly strong smash attacks. he's a weird character for sure, i just wish he had more /true/ combo potential like I expected out of Sora. that footstool oos fireball nair was sick though, i wonder if that can be optimized and practical

But seeing those two Sephiroths get DESTROYED was very painful for me to watch {I'm a Sephiroth main, lol}, but anyway, EPIC work! And nice job on performing the Perfect Shield with Sora in that last clip! Keep up the good work!
He doesn't feel like a traditionally good smash character, he seemed pretty underwhelming at first. However, after a few days have passed and we've all been in the lab, I think this character is kinda broken, his edgeguarding and ledge trapping are just so free it's ridiculous. Plus his nair and fair have so many different options, I hope we see this character do big things!
Fully optimized, he's a top tier. IDJ will carry his combo game to insane heights (most notably the Nair loops as well as confirming stuff like IDJ fair drag down in to F smash). His up b kills insanely early and there's multiple confirms for it. His counter hits below the ledge so he invalidates a lot of the cast and training with his fair offstage is insane. Combine that with a very strong recovery and multiple mix up projectiles and I can see him as a decent top tier.

Basically, out of an aerial or action (the jump itself) you input two jumps back to back while inputting an aerial and the move comes out at a more advantageous position so you can chain it. Good example if someone like Falcon who can true combo side b in to IDJ double up air (one on rising and the second on falling) on to a platform and confirm (true combo) in to knee.

In big tournaments it has been losing quite a bit, but honestly, I think it’s just because they need to practice him.
