The record shop in the precinct used to be Goulds in the late 70s and the spaceship was the MEB, might have been gas later. The iVape shop in Market Street was Allsopp's Chemists where my mum worked. I think that Swiss-style estate agents was someone's house when I lived there.
No problem, could problably come up with more The sports shop on the corner of Penzer St was always a sports shop and there was a barbers next door which had one haircut for kids, it involved puddings and basins! The Cross was briefly Arizona Crossing for some bizarre marketing whizz kid reason.
@@craigentinny2 I remember the barbers and as for the name change on the pub well thats because these people have no sense of history, always wanting to erase it for some reason. .
Hi Phil enjoyed the walk around Kingswinford the roads are very busy it looks like a nice place to live i Always pased through Kingswinford on my way to Bewdley and never stopped off .thanks to you Phil the next time im around here i will have a look around all the best Paul
Thought I knew where most pubs were round the Black Country Phil but that leopard is a new one on me , will definitely have to give it a visit, thanks for pointing it out
Yes, I do believe you're right now I think about it, I do vaguely remember it being an MEB. Also The MEB payment offices used to be at the bottom of Standhills Road they are all flats now. Many thanks, much appreciated
I will certainly consider it but it may be a little while before I get around there - I would generally film the main shopping areas. Thanks for the suggestion
