Thanks for your reaction! As you already know, this was a spoof on the scene in the 'Mean Girls' movie. Voice Play had a very busy past couple months with Geoff, Kathy and their son sick with COPVID in the fall, preparing for the two shows they sang with legendary band, 'Chicago', in November and the birth of Eli's son early this month (Asher is seen with Eli's wife in the audience). Their Patrons were told that they had very little prep time and could only do a mini for Christmas this year and this was the Patron request. Geoff and Omar Cardona each also found time to do something special for their fans this year in their Christmas videos and it meant a lot to us all given the circumstances (please check out their videos as well).
Thanks for watching! And thank you for all of that information. I was wondering what had happened to their regular uploading presence. But life hits us sometimes. I'll definitely be sure to check out their videos 😁👍
They fooled you too! The beginning was acapella. They just used character voices in the second half. They couldn’t get a cameraman for the shoot, so Tony directed and filmed on his iPhone. He also taught the dance. Layne wanted to get as close to the film sequence as possible. And it was great to see VoicePlay’s family and friends in the audience. Including Eli’s wife Ashley holding their son Asher, who was a week old at the filming. Layne’s wife was the one with the camera and his mother was there too. As well as Adriana’s mother and sister, Geoff’s wife Kathy and their new production assistant Franchezca.
They did so great on this!! I recently cam across Elliott Michael Robinson - a bass that has worked with The Bass Gang - he has a "Not That Mean" grinchy rebuttal - from the Grinch's perspective... its soo good! You should look into it!
You've seen her in Frozen 2, You're a Mean One Mr Grinch, Good 4 U, and my favorite, We're Good (Dua Lipa) which was the final audition for bringing on Cesar. They have been busy, VoicePlay (with Omar Cardona) was on stage with Chicago in mid-Nov up in NJ. Eli got back in time to see his and Ashley's new baby boy (seen here at 1 wk old) who made his first appearance here.
Cesar is a perfect "Buddy the Elf." Adriana sounds excellent, and I dig her as a blond. The star of the show, of course, is Eli's baby boy, Asher. But I also think it's neat to hear just the four current core members, by themselves. It just proves how great they are, and, when they have guest singers, if you'll forgive my messed up metaphor, it adds a whole other layer to the cake.
I thought this was super silly, but since it was Layne's creation, that didn't surprise me at all. I did go and watch the Mean Girls version afterward and was able to pick up on how closely they did everything. And, since it was silly, Layne had to end it with body function humor. Do men never grow up past the age of 11??

All very well done 😁👍
I haven't seen Mean Girls but can aappreciate that this was a good spoof on that. And could Cesar look any more flrtatious? Hilarious!
😂👍
Very fun and funny!! 🎄🎅🤣🤣
Great!! Thanks Jeffrey!!👍👍
Glad you enjoyed the video 🙂
This whole thing choreography etc is from Mean Girls the movie.

poor Layne a beatboxer getting hit with a boombox ❤
I'm sure it won't be the last to be honest 😂
Okay - now that is funny on a whole new level! I had not connected Boombox with Beatbox before. I can't stop snickering over that.

They have been busy so I'm learning! I knew I had seen Adriana in their other music videos 👍
@@JeffreyHackReacts She bleached her hair recently so you've seen her with her dark hair.

Haha! Very good questions about men, but I think the same applies to anyone really 😂 The true answer is... NO! 😉
