I try to not drive after midnight.....too many crazies.......plus, most people do not anticipate the unexpected.....drive defensively!!!!! slow down, and pay attention.
Jeep driver was probably drunk or falling asleep.. How do you crash into the center divider on the highway and then swerve back and just stop in the middle of the road?

That stretch between san clemente and oceanside is always backed up , even on a good day, there needs to be a frontage road built alongside that freeway
they took out the frontage roads that used to allow trucks to pick up fruit from the orange orchards to widen the 5 freeway. the rest of the land on both sides belongs to the Marine Corp Base. Not available for expansion. the frontage road was bordered by beautiful orange trees. It smelled wonderful during bloom and harvest season.
Come on, freeways in California are stupid proof, no normal people should crash on the best roads in the world/universe. You got to be really pndjo to get into an accident.

Im sure blowing up the Text Toy while driving didnt have anything to do with this wreck and all were insured and had a drivers license...I thought all these gizmos they were putting on cars were to make it safer, you know like Lane Departure warning if I am driving distracted. Just sayin'...
Let me see ... Jeep unexpectedly hits guard rail and it's 3:00am. Not hard to imagine what caused the accident.

There is or used to be one called SUUICIDE ALLEY . It was there way before the FREEWAYS & was known for terrible crashes.
