yeah like all he did (thinking she was over 21 bc of that wristband) is like cuddle her. yk how many of my friends over my age cuddle me? and i dont DIRECTLY say i consent, but the claims that she was smiling and playfighting, WITH a 2nd witness, Dream, is enough to get a lot of people on george's side. and let me bring your attention to this: NUMBER 1: she read the entire thing on her phone. if she wrote it, would she not have known her story? NUMBER 2: she had NO OTHER people to claim her side of the story. and NUMBER 3: she never ever replied accordingly to any of geore's or dream's claims. personally, i side with george on this one. many people can go on the internet after meeting a content creator, cry, and say some rando script.
That’s what he gets for calling the VANOSS groups some pedos when he and dream are pedos themselves 🤡
He cant sue her because she never specifically mentioned him, its really sad that people are like this.
@@maggiethemaggot123 She should issue a public apology to George for ruining his reputation over false/exeraggerated/lied by omission SA allegations and pay him back for the brand deals lost with Mr.Beast over the matter. Caiti is not only wrong morally, but also legally - the concept of consent is very dependent on the situation which is why a non-verbal consent clause exists in legislation. Caiti's smiling, 1 hour consensual cuddling, + willingly going back after getting back multiple times would fall under non verbal consent (really, search it up!). Really, what everyone should be saying, Caiti got what she deserved and it was unfair that George was hated on by millions (maybe even tens of millions, just look at the twitter statistics on whos viewed tweets) and lost multiple brand deals. All you said was relatively okay too I guess, but people should really be knowing the entire hard hitting important details such as consent, lying by omission (leaving out cuddling, smiling (this is a big non-verbal consent sign), playfighting), exaggerated claims
This actually pisses me off a lot because my mother had a friend who went to America, two girls accused him of sexual assault, he was proven innocent but still they wouldn't drop the charges and he wasn't allowed 100 feet within a school. He ended up taking his life and everytime I watch videos like these I remember that and it genuinely makes me upset. I'm not one to wish downfall on people but I genuinely hope she finds herself an early grave.
I pray his soul rests in Peace
Damn right man
Don't mean to disrespect or make a dead man look any lesser, but me personally I would've never taken that. Would've pursued that 'til I dropped dead. And there just ain't no way I'm dropping dead for two american girls who think they have all the power. Keep fighting that bullcrap, s'what people need to learn to do.
Don't mean to preach, but I really do just get so darn prissed outta my mind whenever I have to read a story like this. The whole intent of those two wenches was to ruin a random man's life, and they succeeded. Makes my blood boil. Have so many other things I could call them, but I know RUclips wouldn't let me.
May he be in peace
But wanting this person to die is a bit extreme though I understand your motive I am sorry.
May he rest in peace.
Law student here. Just to give some legal context, in virtually all jurisdictions including the UK and US, INTOXICATED CONSENT **COULD** STILL BE VALID CONSENT. The key differentiator isn't whether it was given while the person is intoxicated or not, but whether the person actually still has the CAPACITY to give consent. Just because you had some alcohol does not mean you are completely out of control of your actions and are not responsible for any of consequences of your conduct. It's a matter of degree. If you are SO drunk that it's objectively clear that you are completely unable to given consent then and only then could you claim that the consent you gave was invalid.
If intoxicated consent could never amount to valid consent, then anybody who touches alcohol prior to any sexual conduct could potentially accuse the other of sexual assault/rape, a really stupid scenario. Being drunk isn't a get out of jail free card, just use common sense - eg a drunken driver is still responsible for his actions.
Stop undermining the legitimacy of justified claims of sexual assault/rape.
Literally. Like if having alcohol at all precludes any ability to give consent, I guess that means that no one should ever take their date out for drinks, and if they do they can't touch her even if they're vibing, otherwise they just committed SA
@@Paulie_Geelietrue that
Here here!
I agree with this, but how would anyone prove how drunk they were in court?
Afaik, alcohol blocks memory receptors which cause people to have memory loss when they're drunk, but seeing Caiti literally remember every detail of what happened that night, makes me think she wasn't THAT drunk and still had the capacity to give consent.

@@Misdrex Her friends are really shitty people. Used her discomfort as a reason to lash out at Dream and his friends. Imagine being manipulated and used a pawn just so your mates can sling some cheap shots at other content creators because they're envious. Also, imagine doing something illegal and getting your underage friend a 21+ wristband so you can get her drunk. I actually feel bad for Caiti. Ofc she's an adult in this situation and could make her own decisions, but I think it's clear she was pressured by her friends to direct the narrative into a more serious allegation.
The fact that people haven't learned the idea of "innocent until proven guilty" is baffling. You think after the Salem Witch Trials, people nowadays would know, but apparently, this generation is too blindsided to pay attention in school.
Honestly, I do not care if one is an influencer or not, George has all the grounds to sue for defamation. Caiti also is underage drinking, so any allegations she makes would get thrown out because she's illegally drinking.
Her being drunk also removes any concrete evidence she has. Nobody can accurately recount details to the dot, ESPECIALLY if you're drunk.
Unfortunately people these days don’t even care about innocent until proven guilty because guilty until proven innocent is trending. Same thing happened with Kwite and Rex Orange County. These same accusers who believe one side first don’t even bother to check on the case or see its updates afterwards but just go off of other’s opinions and say “aren’t you a r//apist? Didn’t you sexually assault someone?” They throw around every word in the book at someone even if it isn’t true just so it can “justify” their hate and jump on the trend.

I still fail to comprehend why false accusers don't get punished as severely as actual offenders.
Because, even if proven innocent, the falsely accused will forever be branded as a predator by the court of public opinion.
Yes and I feel like it should be faster legally for defamation
this is basically what "countersuing" with defamation is supposed to be, but it really needs to be fixed (like a lot of things about most legal systems)
Yeah, honestly, there needs to be a law against false accusations of sexual misconduct like this. It's ruining lives, and needs a very harsh punishment. It should be a felony at least.
It’s a lose lose A lot of the times it’s not worth it for these creators to counter sue against a nobody making false claims they won’t get anything from the accuser the reason they are making claims is for money, sadly the only things it’s gonna do is cost a fuck load of money to just clear your name when like OP said your names still gonna be tainted in public opinion it’s not gonna make up for lost revenue and a 18 year old doesn’t have assets

The main takeaway for me is how quick Sapnap and Dream appealed to the victim side instead of sticking with their own stories. Of course, it would be worse if they took George’s side if he actually did something, but he didn’t, and those two should be more than sure of that. I don’t understand how these friends would respond in such a way. There should be the option of standing by their friend (if they believe he did not do such a thing) and also not condemning the individual claiming to be hurt. They did not have to go bite George in the back like that.
I am confused.
I know - it actually makes me mad that more people aren't talking about Sapnap just completely throwing George under the bus. I mean, he literally said Caiti was right and George was in the wrong. I called him out on Twitter so many times and it was so annoying not seeing more people call Sapnap for that. So annoying. Like literally SOOOO annoying

Yes and no. Yes because it’s not likely they’d speak like this but no because there are some people that just try to get their point across through description of emotions
"In the moment, I was chilling".
She was so comfortable in fact, that she got up after the undershirt touching, to say goodbye to her best friend who wasn't feeling well, and decided that instead of going with her sick friend back to their room, she'd rather stay with George instead, someone she knew was 8 years older than her, whom she had already been cuddling with and had the undershirt touching already happen, and went back to his arms for more the cuddling/touching.
BUT, the next day, when her little friends/new acquaintances started gossiping about how she and George were cuddling and that he had touched her under her shirt, this is what happened:
After being asked how she felt about it by a couple people the next day who used language like "I didn't like how touchy he was being" or "he was really touchy", she decided to save face and not look like 'that kind of girl' aka 'groupie-lite' to these people by making up a story which completely removed her agency.
She did not want to admit to these people that in fact she was perfectly fine with being cuddly with a guy she knew was 8 years her senior who she had only met the day before, and even chose to stay and continue the cuddling/under shirt touching instead of leaving with her friend because she was completely comfortable that night with the situation.
So Caiti changed the truth of her choosing to drink, to the lie that it was that she was made to drink. The truth that she was knowingly being flirty and cuddling with someone 8 years her senior, to the lie that it was George who took advantage of the age gap on purpose. The truth that she was enjoying being in the company of someone famous, to the lie that it was George wielding his fame/power over her. And the truth that she was enjoying her time with him and consenting to the touching/flirting back (which there is nothing morally wrong with that), to the lie that it was that George did it suddenly out of nowhere.
She regretted the gossip and views the other people had about that night of her and George being cuddly/touchy feely (not one person stated that Caiti looked uncomfortable, just that the age gap / touchiness made THEM uncomfortable), and that is what drove her to fabricate the whole no consent story. Which is the other reason why she kept on reiterating about it being 'in front of everyone' and even made the outlandish claim in her third version, that it would have been better if it happened when they were alone. It wasn't because she was uncomfortable that people were watching, it was that those that saw, gossiped about it later, and felt put into a position where she either had to admit she was 'that kind of girl' that they wouldn't approve of (especially with George), or concoct a lie which removes her agency (free will completely). It is literally the modus operandi of every false accuser - they feel a real harm or threat from a third party (ex. friend catches you cheating with a married man, so will think you are a home wrecker), so they make up a story to remove their agency (ex. that actually it was not consensual, but rape).

Also I think part of the problem is he didn't clarify exactly what he was apologising for when he should have.
I think he meant his first apology was an "I am sorry I played a part in making you feel uncomfortable" a simple apology for an accidental harm, like one would apologise for bumping into someone in a crowd or for making a well meaning joke or jab that hurt your friends feelings. These moments of accidental harm are ones we are taught to apologise for, and I appreciate the awareness of seeing that just because I and others saw it as harmless didn't mean I didn't cause harm. However many people nowadays don't like to apologise for accidents so when you don't clarify (or even when you do) they assume its an admission.
The second apology I think was more along the lines of "I was not at all aware there was a possible power dynamic issue in potential relationships, sorry you and others might have been caught in this." I think he did clarify this one better but I think people are less aware of the danger of financial and reputational power imbalances in relationships and might not be as aware as he was about the severity of this issue.
Frankly he dealt with is so maturely but lately it feels many people don't realise that a truly empathic person will want to apologise for accidents, for hurt they see even if they do not understand (emotions aren't logical) and to make a promise to be better.
If you’re falsely accused of something like this, don’t combat it online. Do like Angry Joe did and gear up for court. No back and forth.
