NUMBER 2: she had NO OTHER people to claim her side of the story. and NUMBER 3: she never ever replied accordingly to any of geore's or dream's claims. personally, i side with george on this one. many people can go on the internet after meeting a content creator, cry, and say some rando script.
@@maggiethemaggot123 She should issue a public apology to George for ruining his reputation over false/exeraggerated/lied by omission SA allegations and pay him back for the brand deals lost with Mr.Beast over the matter. Caiti is not only wrong morally, but also legally - the concept of consent is very dependent on the situation which is why a non-verbal consent clause exists in legislation. Caiti's smiling, 1 hour consensual cuddling, + willingly going back after getting back multiple times would fall under non verbal consent (really, search it up!). Really, what everyone should be saying, Caiti got what she deserved and it was unfair that George was hated on by millions (maybe even tens of millions, just look at the twitter statistics on whos viewed tweets) and lost multiple brand deals. All you said was relatively okay too I guess, but people should really be knowing the entire hard hitting important details such as consent, lying by omission (leaving out cuddling, smiling (this is a big non-verbal consent sign), playfighting), exaggerated claims
This actually pisses me off a lot because my mother had a friend who went to America, two girls accused him of sexual assault, he was proven innocent but still they wouldn't drop the charges and he wasn't allowed 100 feet within a school. He ended up taking his life and everytime I watch videos like these I remember that and it genuinely makes me upset. Don't mean to disrespect or make a dead man look any lesser, but me personally I would've never taken that. Would've pursued that 'til I dropped dead. And there just ain't no way I'm dropping dead for two american girls who think they have all the power. Keep fighting that bullcrap, s'what people need to learn to do. Don't mean to preach, but I really do just get so darn prissed outta my mind whenever I have to read a story like this. It breaks my heart that George _really_ thought he had done something wrong. You can tell how genuine his apologies are. He truly thought he had made a mistake and hurt someone without intending to. He handled it so well and was so mature and thoughtful. Good people do not deserve what happened to him.
@@Misdrex Her friends are really shitty people. Used her discomfort as a reason to lash out at Dream and his friends. Imagine being manipulated and used a pawn just so your mates can sling some cheap shots at other content creators because they're envious. Also, imagine doing something illegal and getting your underage friend a 21+ wristband so you can get her drunk. I actually feel bad for Caiti. Ofc she's an adult in this situation and could make her own decisions, but I think it's clear she was pressured by her friends to direct the narrative into a more serious allegation.
It's actually really bittersweet for me - only because I wish everyone would've supported George when the allegations came out from Caiti, but it was EXTREMELY depressing and disappointing seeing everybody on twitter just hating on him even when he didn't give his side yet. Super annoying. And now that everybody had time to think, of course everybody is supporting George because he's obviously in the right. Honestly those that supported Caiti the second Caiti accused George should be investigated for brain damage
I think George's main downfall was the fact that he was addressing how "he felt" or "how the situation changed his perspective", where in my opinion, it was completely irrelevant as the whole drama had been "facts (George) vs Emotions (Caiti)". He tried for a second to "redeem" himself based on the lies shared by Caiti, instead of sticking to his own story. Also, I didn't follow the drama from the start but became quite evident how Caiti kept on speaking with emotions rather than providing anything of substance. George already provided additional evidence (non-verbal consent even observed by friend), so why is she repeating her first point instead of debunking the new evidence? I support cancelling/punishing SA perpetrators but it's sad to see how everyone throws everyone else under the bus when it comes to preserving their online fame without verifying what happened first.
@@loser9336yep, people in twitter was jumpin fast and pressing george without any actual known evidence. And i dont think people shouldve also jumped on george’s side bcz it was still not known who is in the right and wrong. Its better to wait than sorry.
But that's the issue..... The damage has been done to George and the way he framed it was sincere but still kind of put him out to be beaten (the apologising). So in the end the one that truly won is caiti. As the video mentions too, caiti can just hide and wait for everything to blow over. But for George, whatever has been said about his SA on caiti is gonna be left online for others to misrepresent him.
@@sabrinakingsley798 What I think they mean is that this is a bittersweet ending for George as a whole. George now has a permanent stain on himself and his brand that will never really fade, all the networking bridges have been either damaged or burnt to cinders. He also may develop mental health issues down the line due to the intensity of the backlash. Caiti on the other hand, has gained thousands of followers who at least hate the dream team more than her and has functionally escaped the brunt of the backlash she PURPOSELY started. There is no winner on the internet, there is no god in this virtual world. Will she get her judgment, will George recover? we'll never know for now all we can do is wait and see.
Well nothing was going to happen to her anyway she was always going to get support from Twitter and her fans no matter what ether said really hell she instantly got clout and more Money for this any way so essentially she profit off of a false accusation
Yep and people still cope about being a woman is "harder" than being a man. Men have everything to lose., and women lose nothing from faking allegations, its crazy.
Notice how George is staying Mature during his explanations and not name calling while Caiti is doing the exact opposite and addressing the issue like a child. Edit: Tysm for the likes it’s the most I’ve ever gotten 😭
At this point I wouldn't even be surprised if that childishness was also a deliberate act to make her story more convincing. The crying certainly was and she already saw how her being too detailed in her telling of the events kinda ruined the argument that she was too drunk to consent. If she also argued her stance well and stayed rational, it would only prove that she in fact wasn't the shy, gullible and helpless young girl she claims to be.

You say that but some people are actually traumatized n need for people to ask consent. Its not about romance its about being comfortable regardless of whats awkward for u.I grew up around people who were assaulted n just were shook in general scared to say no to anyone while being fully uncomfortable. everybodys different not particularly talking bout this situation w that example because idk who lying but for anyone, ppl go through things n verbal consent is not really a issue. Yes and no. Yes because it’s not likely they’d speak like this but no because there are some people that just try to get their point across through description of emotions
you say this as if SA cases ever get the assulter jailed. they are very complicated because unless you have video evidence of it happening it becomes hearseys. search up victims who went to police and see how far it went without video footage. I know people in real life who went through these processes and 100% the accussed never went to jail. only way for a kind of justice is they take online and let the whole world know and they also risk being sued for defomation.

@@sayakamaizono5830 What you mean with caiti? Mens lack of giving attention or validation or treating women nicely could have something to do also with selfish lier women sending innocent men to prison.
Law student here. Just to give some legal context, in virtually all jurisdictions including the UK and US, INTOXICATED CONSENT **COULD** STILL BE VALID CONSENT. The key differentiator isn't whether it was given while the person is intoxicated or not, but whether the person actually still has the CAPACITY to give consent. Just because you had some alcohol does not mean you are completely out of control of your actions and are not responsible for any of consequences of your conduct. It's a matter of degree. If you are SO drunk that it's objectively clear that you are completely unable to given consent then and only then could you claim that the consent you gave was invalid. If intoxicated consent could never amount to valid consent, then anybody who touches alcohol prior to any sexual conduct could potentially accuse the other of sexual assault/rape, a really stupid scenario. Being drunk isn't a get out of jail free card, just use common sense - eg a drunken driver is still responsible for his actions. Stop undermining the legitimacy of justified claims of sexual assault/rape.
Literally. Like if having alcohol at all precludes any ability to give consent, I guess that means that no one should ever take their date out for drinks, and if they do they can't touch her even if they're vibing, otherwise they just committed SA
Afaik, alcohol blocks memory receptors which cause people to have memory loss when they're drunk, but seeing Caiti literally remember every detail of what happened that night, makes me think she wasn't THAT drunk and still had the capacity to give consent.

But the next day, she lied to the principal and the police saying that I r*ed her, and I got expelled and was facing sexual assault charges at 14. The ridiculous situation only ended because the *actual* incident was caught on the cameras in the school. Unfortunately, the damage was done, my friends abandoned me, and I had to move schools. Often times, men don’t win in cases like this, especially when it comes to the aftermath of being accused, like losing friends, environments, scholarships or sponsorships, sometimes even jobs, no matter if it's the truth, or if it's just completely made-up. Real sexual assault victims get taken less seriously when things like this happen, simply because someone wants to make someone else's life harder. What a pathetic world we live in. I've recognized this and stopped apologizing even when I am in the wrong. People take an apology as justification and honestly just become more spiteful and resentful when they get one. generally it seems like the rage of never getting an apology is less than the self justified rage of having gotten one.
the fact that she had donations on at the end of the video blows my mind. if youre a victim why are you still engaging with chat during a serious testimony??
The fact that people haven't learned the idea of "innocent until proven guilty" is baffling. You think after the Salem Witch Trials, people nowadays would know, but apparently, this generation is too blindsided to pay attention in school.
Honestly, I do not care if one is an influencer or not, George has all the grounds to sue for defamation. Caiti also is underage drinking, so any allegations she makes would get thrown out because she's illegally drinking. Her being drunk also removes any concrete evidence she has. Nobody can accurately recount details to the dot, ESPECIALLY if you're drunk.
Unfortunately people these days don’t even care about innocent until proven guilty because guilty until proven innocent is trending. Same thing happened with Kwite and Rex Orange County. These same accusers who believe one side first don’t even bother to check on the case or see its updates afterwards but just go off of other’s opinions and say “aren’t you a r//apist? Didn’t you sexually assault someone?” They throw around every word in the book at someone even if it isn’t true just so it can “justify” their hate and jump on the trend.
@@Emzy2217 Yeah and the classic double standard. "We were BOTH drinking and I gave literally zero indications that I was uncomfortable but George as a MAN is guilty of sexual assault for thinking me rejoining him for a cuddle on the couch meant I was into him."

@@vacdek The "Freshly 18 part" could have been important if there was a huge age gap, and especially if the adult knew them before. In that case, there could be grooming accusations. But yeah, seeing how both are in what I call the "College area", it's not that important.
Love the part where Dream and Sapnap threw George under the bus. Really good friends considering Caiti's story is so inconsistent from version to version. Well, I can see why they would side with caiti despite the inconsistencies due to George's awful second response as he basically condemned himself. It seems like he was innocent for the most part, but he did a really bad job with that second response.

People like her can just pop up for a short moment, ruin a career because "TrUst VicTimS GuYS, HuMAns TotAllLY DOn'T LiE" and then poof she can just go on with her life like nothings happened while leaving someone destroyed.
That’s honestly the only sensible thing people can do. Just get a lawyer. A lot of these people usually back off real quick when real life consequences start stacking up and they have to deal with actual police and court.
In the case involving GeorgeNotFound, a 23-year-old RUclipsr, an 18-year-old named Caiti accused him of inappropriate behavior. However, it has been brought to light that during the incident, Caiti was actually 17 and heavily intoxicated, despite her claim of being 'freshly 18' in her statement. Additionally, Caiti's reliance on her phone while giving her statement contrasts with George's direct engagement with the camera. These discrepancies underline the necessity of a comprehensive and impartial investigation to ensure all relevant details are thoroughly examined and justice is appropriately served for both parties.
The main takeaway for me is how quick Sapnap and Dream appealed to the victim side instead of sticking with their own stories. Of course, it would be worse if they took George’s side if he actually did something, but he didn’t, and those two should be more than sure of that. I don’t understand how these friends would respond in such a way. There should be the option of standing by their friend (if they believe he did not do such a thing) and also not condemning the individual claiming to be hurt. They did not have to go bite George in the back like that. I am confused.
I know - it actually makes me mad that more people aren't talking about Sapnap just completely throwing George under the bus. I mean, he literally said Caiti was right and George was in the wrong. George shouldn’t have apoogised. He should’ve known that twitter and youtube audiences would take his apology as an admission of guilt instead of what it really was, which is feeling sorry for something he didn’t realise at the time that (key word) COULD make someone else uncomfortable. If there’s something I’ve noticed is that apologies are instantly responded to with hatred and more controversy. He should’ve consulted it with someone else before to not make it seem like an apology.
Yeah tbh dude needs better friends. If he wasn't surrounded by a bunch of people siding with her and not giving him a shred of charitability maybe he wouldn't have felt obligated to apologise in his second response since he probably felt like the odd one out. But nevertheless, he shouldve stood firm with his first response and exposed all the misinformation without trying to pander to his crazy audience.
One thinng that is seemingly ignored is the fact that most (if not all) hotels have CCTV in the hallways. Surely the logical thing to do would be to check the CCTV footage and see how they were behaving on the way to the room. This would confirm if the girls were already drunk, it would confirm whether the online friend left first or not. This seems logical right?
The fact that she had to read her statement instead of recounting it like a normal person is a red flag. The whole thing is BS "believe ALL women". This george fella is also an idiot for caving in and apologizing when he supposedly knew he didn't do anything wrong.

The whole situation sucks and shows what is wrong with today's society. People automatically jump with no backing and trust what everyone says on the internet far too easily. The backlash that Dream received and still does when he has literally proven his innocence is still doubted to this day - and now it's George's turn. Lots of toxic people on social media that will do anything for attention or controversy. They crave the attention because they don't have anything meaningful enough in their actual lives.
@UppyWupps While I don't fully trust what people have talked about Dream, I won't put it past either if he did 'something', (That doesn't mean things like SA or worse). The reason why is because of the big lie he was caught in (The Speedrun one), where he allegedly hired an actual mathematician from an university, or something in these lines, only to turn out to be boogus, and then suddenly 'realizing' he had a mod on causing him to have better drops (Hence why people use the "Dream luck" meme). Once you lie this big just for internet points, when you say the actual truth, people are less likely to believe you. Same goes for the story The boy who cried Wolf. He did it as a funny but once an actual wolf was there, nobody believed him.

I am just guessing here, but I'd imagine they all talked about it, and came to the conclusion that the best way forward for their brands, was to apologize and side with the "victim", bc regardless of what evidence you have to exonerate yourself, there will still be a huge portion of their audience who will support her. Plus, if you're a kind person, you don't feel okay with someone who is "hurt" bc of you, even if you KNOW you didn't do anything.

Yk, this is Twitter, so I don't expect the argument to be reasonable. Listening from the story, she should have known better what drinking and hanging out with people she didn't know would turn out.

George now has a permanent stain on himself and his brand that will never really fade, all the networking bridges have been either damaged or burnt to cinders.
He also may develop mental health issues down the line due to the intensity of the backlash.
Caiti on the other hand, has gained thousands of followers who at least hate the dream team more than her and has functionally escaped the brunt of the backlash she PURPOSELY started.

she never said who it was they figured it out I'm not defending her just saying your an idiot

I've recognized this and stopped apologizing even when I am in the wrong. the fact that she had donations on at the end of the video blows my mind. if youre a victim why are you still engaging with chat during a serious testimony??
