Dude, inform me on how you learned how to do those special moves...cause I’ve been playing this and the nes version and I’ve figured out a few special combos (mostly just special throws) but the special defense moves elude me to this day... Also, hands down my favorite arcade game I’ve played with spinmasters being a close 2nd.

Man! Some STRONG memories with this game both old and new! Old:Back when I was a kid I knew only ONE place in NYC that had this Neo-Geo game on the Neo-Geo arcade. It was at an obscure location in the Bronx. Right smack in a very ghetto area, inside the River Park Towers facility. I want to school in the area so after school I would rock out with this game with my buddy of mine. We spent so many damn quarters. Unbelievable. New: As an adult, I've had some trips to Japan. In Tokyo I would hit up the arcades and I was able to find this game again! Along with many other games I wasn't always to play or find in the states. Amazing.

I could never get the timing right to reflect the ball back at the opponent. Edit: I'm glad to see my favorite team combination of Kunio, Riki, and Kenji.
Kenji had the best move, that hcf+A move (the fast burning ball move) can stun lock an opponent and almost always returns the ball to you. I always use that move in a pinch.
They need to port this to the Switch as part of Arcade Archives. They recently ported the other Super Dodgeball arcade game and they've ported a bunch of Neo Geo games. Make it happen.

Dude I had the GBA version of this game. It was probably the most awesome sports game I had for the GBA. Altho the rules to dodgeball seem a little altered.

Looks fun, but also way too chaotic and unfair with some of these ridiculous super shots. I think the NES version is still the best and most competitive.
This game cannot be rereleased on modern platforms as part of the AcA line because of the imperial japanese flag on one of the level’s floors. It will upset the shinese and kooreans.

I love Every god damn game made by American Technos and Japan Technos in the world. they are all so damn fun and silly as hell.

Fun fact: If you play the JP ver, Shinji will FLIP YOU OFF during his intro and taunt.
I loved this game as a kid. I surpasses 1million points in the arcades and was never unbeaten. I was so proud.

Mizuru and Kenji are among top tiers. Mizuru with her charging ball and her super was hard as fuck to block because of how quick they initiated.
