Omg Erika thank you for your video! I didn't think you'd actually make one when I requested. Your just a gem. Sending you love and thank you for always sharing x
I was gifted a rooted cutting and I was in love w the texture and colors of this monstara. Have purchased a couple more since. When they are rooted I will pot up. Thank you Erika. Moss pole it will be 🌿❤
Also forgot to mention that my plants sweats too so I'm glad to know that it's normal. Mine is staked too and is Australia it's HOT! So I have cut mine and have them propogating in soil. Thank you again for sharing x
One of the challenges in growing vines, in my experience, is giving them something to climb on. Moss poles are a good answer for aroids, but I have found them difficult to hold upright, even when they touch the bottom of the pot. That is especially a problem when the plants overgrows the pole and sends vines in the air and all around it. I am thinking of a more practical way to physically attach the pole to the bottom of the pot before I add the soil
Do you think that there’s such a thing as two different forms for monstera siltepecana? I keep hearing that there’s a “rare” El Salvador variety that has more contrasting in the leaves but I can’t tell if that’s just a more mature form of the leaves. Love your videos 💕
Thank you Erika! I no longer feel like a complete idiot. I found what I thought to be a chlorotic Cebu Blue, but I learned, through Reb at Plantastica, that I actually have a Monstera siltipecana. I'm pretty ignorant about uncommon plants and you validated me by saying they look similar. I feel better now. I'm still terrified of killing this plant and should probably give it away to someone more skilled.
@@ErikaLodes no problem girly. I have learned from your videos. I started a plant RUclips I used to do makeup on this but I like plants a lot and it’s better content for me. I live near la and would be 100% down to go plant shopping with you. You have such a sweet personality

Just got one, so I had to look this up!
Can you wrap the vine around the pole like a candy cane? It would use up more vine tips reach the end rather than keeping it straight. Advice?
Will my plant grow if I pin one of the nodes into the same pot?
Oh thank god you made this mine is SUFFERING
Really wanna have this!!! 🤞🤞🤞
