One of the challenges in growing vines, in my experience, is giving them something to climb on. Moss poles are a good answer for aroids, but I have found them difficult to hold upright, even when they touch the bottom of the pot. That is especially a problem when the plants overgrows the pole and sends vines in the air and all around it. I am thinking of a more practical way to physically attach the pole to the bottom of the pot before I add the soil

Do you think that there’s such a thing as two different forms for monstera siltepecana? I keep hearing that there’s a “rare” El Salvador variety that has more contrasting in the leaves but I can’t tell if that’s just a more mature form of the leaves. Love your videos 💕

Thank you Erika! I no longer feel like a complete idiot. I found what I thought to be a chlorotic Cebu Blue, but I learned, through Reb at Plantastica, that I actually have a Monstera siltipecana. I'm pretty ignorant about uncommon plants and you validated me by saying they look similar. I feel better now. I'm still terrified of killing this plant and should probably give it away to someone more skilled.

Can you wrap the vine around the pole like a candy cane? It would use up more vine tips reach the end rather than keeping it straight. Advice?
