    Good job, but I have a tip for you. Roll through the water and do a longer burnout. Make sure you see plenty of smoke before you let off. Dont try to do a burnout where the water is sitting, you'll never evaporate all of it. You keep bogging at the start because your tires are still a little wet and the tire slips instead of hooking. Master the burnout and your launch will greatly improve.

    • @silverbulletz06

      I appreciate this, its funny because the drag strip coordinators tell you when to stop to do the burnout. Sadly, never be able to try again because Bandimere is closed now. If i ever get to another track ill keep this in mind!

    Hi I saw your video about 6 months ago backing your Z06 out of the garage. I had a silver 13 Z06
    with a carbon hood. I sold the car just over 3 years ago and last I know it was for sale at Covette World
    in Texas in Dec. 2020. The reason I am asking is I cut the front black lower air dam to allow extra cooling
    to the front brakes. Just wonder if that's our old Z06. Thanks

    sounds like some serious wheel hop. i think with some chassis bracing and maybe suspension work you could be in the 10’s with that amount of power in a very light car

    • @silverbulletz06
      @silverbulletz06  7 месяцев назад

      Tire hop comes from the lack of sidewall, it's been my crutch the entire time I've raced it. And the rear suspension isn't an issue, even though it's different from other sports cars, there are plenty of vettes sub 10s with stock suspension. Altitude also doesn't help robbing me all of my power lol

    You should be running quite a bit quicker. I ran a 13.053 here in a h/c/i/e C5 Z06 with a bogged launch, and you should have about 100 more HP than I did. I'm not saying that I'm a good driver, but you need the driver mod :D Keep practicing the launch and consider some drag radials like the MT ET Street S/S.

    • @silverbulletz06

      Yeah i ran an 11.80 in SA TX on 100% stock set up, I fully expect its a typical H/C C6Z that would run 10's with a lower DA.
      But yeah I know, the launch is killing me, I adjusted 200rpm each run and either bogged or spun. Having a 20" wheel in the back with 335 is like a rubber band, and up-front running 19" 285's, its also just a lot of weight and rolling resistance.
      New wheels/tires - I am hoping for 11's next season with the current set up and Id be happy (Fastest right now is a 12.4*)

      You could try slipping the clutch. I know it’s bad juju but I could turn 1.69 60’s on NT05R’s at 35psi. A good multidisc clutch should be able to handle it. I liked my ACT twin. My tilton was horrible, and my RPS triple carbon is probably my middle ground because it can handle so much more abuse. I also don’t recommend a tilton master cylinder for a 1000hp clutch. It needs a smaller bore not a bigger one. My pedal is now like a one inch thousand pound leg press.😢
