The cost of living here in the US is a complete disaster. In China, I can have a decent meal for 10 to 15 Yuan. In the US, for a meal of the same quality, the 10 to 15 yuan in dollar equivalent won't even cover tax & tip.
UK and EU is bad too. People are getting broke and into debt fast. Poland has been described in the western media as "booming", not if you talk to Polish people; job losses, low pay and rising prices. China and Asia and the Global South are the future. The west has been destroyed by its corrupt leaders.

Disposable income weighs far more important than absolute income. You can make USD3000 monthly income in the US but ends with zero savings after basic necessities and taxes. Whereas you can make the same amount of income but save 30% of it in China. That is the difference.

In a 4th tier city, a person earning the lowest salary can afford to pay for a rented apartment, all the utilities, optic fiber home internet connection, 5G mobile phone service with 20 GB data, all-you-can-eat buffet dinner every night, a month of groceries, public transportation, daily use of shared ebike, medical insurance, pension plan and much more. But in USA, a person earning the lowest wage can't even afford rent and medical insurance, never mind buffet dinner every night.

Yep, this video by Maverick Lee does show what I regard as possibly the best metro station in China if not the world. I did spend a day travel to Shenzhen just to check the Gangxia North station out. I believe it has at least three lines fully enclosed in glass to keep the dust and noise out for the passengers in the station. Its huge circular skylights together with a clean, large and well-lit environment are features making visitors to feel easy and stress-free. The decoration standard, using inexpensive materials but put together artistically, is typical of a metro station in China but the architect of Gangxia North has done a fantastic job to create such a setting. The polished floor reflects the lights so it gives every visitor a sense of grandness in a 5-star hotel yet due to its huge dimensions such environment is unique and can only be found in large airports. My recommendation to every metro fan, who takes an interest in riding a metro train and/or visiting a country's metro system to see Gangxia North and use it as a standard to compare with others. It definitely has its own place in the world of metro station architectures.
Not only cities of China, if you come to Kuala Lumpur you will find it is more and more clean and beautiful than NY. West will decline day after day with their arrogant and ignorant of East Asia.
I spent 3 months in London 2023-2024. I experienced the high living cost and seen the misery of the homeless. During winter it was really hard for those guys.

Chinese in China basically pay very little tax compare to western countries people that pay huge amounts of tax. Many Chinese actually have never ever pay a single cent of personal income tax in their lifetime. Yet the Chinese government returns most of the collected tax money to people by providing them with super infrastructures. Very affordable public transportation cost and elderly people above 60 are free for using public transportation. Very affordable health care system. Every Chinese children are entitled to 9 years of free education. Keeping the country very safe so the people have the freedom to enjoy their lives at any time of the day. Even lady alone can walk home at midnight without have to worry of her safety. But the western countries people said Chinese are oppressed by their government. Do you believe all the lies?
