There are no original members of the fantastic four in this group. The original members were Jame's Epps better known as sweet James two brothers Joe Pruitt, Ralph Pruitt, James Epps, better known as sweet James and Toby, later replaced by a young man name Cleveland who sang lead on the the song "mixed up moods and attitudes."
Ralph & Butch Pruitt were my 2nd cousins. This group sounds like a street corner group...no disrespect intended but they sound horrible.
Plus that song is too fast, my cousins sang it much slower

original members were truly sensational. they have a couple of albums/cd's , should own them. Motown didn't feature them-can't understand why????
@@kamauthabiti5171 My sentiments exactly! When Berry Gordy Jr bought Ric-Tic/Golden World, it seems he was only interested on Edwin Starr, the company's studio and songwriters. The album "The Best of The Fantastic Four" is one of the best albums Motown produced during that period - despite the fact that all of the material is from their Ric-Tic/Golden World collection. They did not hit again until they left Motown and signed with Westbound with "Alvin Stone (The Birth and Death of a Gangster)" and "I Got To Have Your Love." Nor were they given quality material during their Motown years!
@@tyronecannon2151 Wallace "Toby" Childs died around 1970. The group's original lead singer, "Sweet James" Epps died of a heart attack on September 11, 2000. Ralph Pruitt died on June 3, 2014 of natural causes. He was 74. According to his obituary, he was the last surviving member of the original group (meaning his brother Joseph preceded him). Cleveland Horne, who replaced Childs, suffered a heart attack and died on April 13, 2000. The group has gone through a number of personal changes but Ralph who put this line-up together before he died. They are: Jerry Brooks, Leroy Seabrooks Jr., J.W. Calvin and Rory Ward.
