Congrats! I've always wanted to but never got my act together to participate although I'm a big fan of the festival. One of my friends (featured in the video here) is from Vic and sometimes shoots Super 8 as well. Good luck with your new cam!
I like the s560 but it is a little tough to get used to. The viewfinder is really tiny and you have to view it just right in order to see the meter and picture. Sharpness varies (best with 50D) but it is fairly ergonomic once you get used to it.
I’m sure it just shoots as daylight, to my knowledge there isn’t a tungsten>daylight filter in the Nizo as there is the Daylight>tungsten. Just post processing as needed for me.
I took part in the One Take Super 8 event here in Victoria BC on two occasions and just this year I finally bought my own Super 8 cam.

How do you shoot interior with that kind of daylight stock? Does the S560 have a built in filter to compensate the color temperature?
