As a rather shy introvert, staring is usually the biggest sign I like a girl. I'm not trying to be creepy, I'm just trying to observe their behavior, what they say, etc., to try to learn more about their personality. But it usually gets awkward if they make eye contact more than once.
Ok I do this too!!! If I don't know that they are christian I try to see how they treat others around them if I am intrested in them. Then I pray if God would bless us or bring us together if its his will.

That's a big win in my opinion. You took a courageous step. That's more important than the outcome to be honest. Rejection can make you so much stronger as long as you respond to it correctly. However, one of the things I struggle with the most as a single Christian man is how to avoid sending the wrong signals. I can explain, every time I meet a godly woman/girl, I instantly develop a genuine admiration for her, and that can easily be spotted, I assume, through my eyes, body language, or passionate conversations about the Bible or theology. The problem is that this admiration thing is even new to me, as before I literally couldn't speak with girls without malice in mind, and I really see it as part of the sanctification process I've been going through. I want to get married, yes, but didn't think God has put anyone in my way as of now. My whole point is, how can I not send any misleading signals but also keep nurturing healthy relationships with other women. God bless you all!

That's becoming a problem for me, i want to have female close friends and I have one now. But i don't want it to develop on her side because it looks like it's going in that direction. I don't think that a relationship right now is God's plan for me.

These are some great points!! Sometimes it’s still hard to know, because they could just genuinely be friendly/ curious in your faith and life, but definitely in general those are good hints that they like you!!😊 And guys a great way to attract a girl is just be there for her (in a none creepy way lol). Like offering help if she seems to need it, opening the door if her hands are full or even asking if there’s a way to pray for her. Girls notice that and really appreciate it!! It’s sometimes hard for a girl to know if you’re just being nice or if you’re also interested in her as well, but you’ll definitely stand out to her!!😊

I met the best guy ever. Goes to church many times in a week, all our values aligned, 4 months in we do this courtship official thing he was happy and agreed to. But my parents put too much pressure on him to make a decision like a deadline date and I never really got the chance to tell him that I dont want that rush. He broke up with me because of it my parents scared him and got very intense saying not to waste my time. I never got a chance to explain MY BELIEFS on this to him and its so painful. I am hoping he will hear me out, because I also spoke to my parents and they said they would not put so much pressure anymore
I’ve only experienced non-Christian guys being interested. They always look me up and down, raise their eyebrows, give an inappropriate gaze, and then smile before approaching me. Why do they all do this? 😩
The guy I like at church just got certified to be a pastor 😭😭 it’s a blessing but it makes me feel small in comparison, he gives me some of the signs but I get nervous around him a lot 🥹
Tell him that then :). Honesty is always best, at least for me. I consider myself a bit more direct, but it is better to be upfront than "dilly dally". Also, don't be intimidated😂. I know that doesn't help much, but remember we have/will/do all fall short of the glory of God❤. Fear of man is not from God, respect is. You want someone who will lead you and your kids one day so a bit of intimidation can be good 😊😊.

You’re not small comparison to him, all of us have the same position in front of God. If you have peace that he can be someone that God wants you to be with, be sure that God will equip you with his grace to be with him ( I’m talking about his work because you’re complete in Christ).

Dear guys! Please, if you like a girl, don’t ask any of those questions, it’s a straight up friend zone! He just got lucky she liked him back 😂 If you like a girl, be a gentleman, smile, give her a compliment, talk to her, give her a candy/flower in a lighthearted joking manner - do all of these things but gradually, giving her space, seeing her reaction. If she responds positively, then invite her to a group outing ( you can organize one- be a leader), during which be friendly to everybody. However, buy her coffee or something ( she will notice, while you are friends with everyone, you still give her extra attention). If everything goes well, ask her out on a date ( better for a walk or go to an attraction park, movies or something like that). Don’t start interrogation in a cafe or restaurant. All of the questions he has mentioned you can start asking on a 3rd-4th date. It’s called dating for a reason, people try to get to know each other. I get this!! In general these are good hints/ signs and possibly he changed his feelings and then just said he didn’t have feelings for you. But also there are those few occasions, where the opposite sex really does care for you, likes you and wants to learn about you more, while genuinely just wanting to be friends. So I think you may have just come across a rare guy. This is something I struggle with sometimes, because I genuinely care for some of my guy friends and want to have deep conversations with them, but also don’t want to give the wrong signals, because I genuinely just want to be friends with them. So possibly this is the case with the guy you’re mentioning. In general though a guy is going to want to spend time with you and get to know you more if he has feelings for you, there are those rare guys that genuinely just want to be friends, but in general they’re more interested in being friends if they’re going out of their way ❤️
I'm learning, as a guy, that ladies love clarity. This is true yes? So I figured when I like someone, it's just better to pray about it, try to perceive if they feel the same, then ask. Now I haven't gotten to the last one for personal reasons, but when I'm ready that's what I'll do. That said, like Kayla K mentioned, it may be you met a really rare guy who exudes a lot of care for his friends, but, the likely scenario is that he had feelings, then they left. Especially if he stopped treating you like that, then it means there were some feelings that are no longer there. I'd do the same only if I am clear I like someone, just so I don't lead the person on.

I am thinking he is immature- speaking from experience. Naturally when I am interested in someone, I do the same things. Ask deep questions, look at her, etc. Now why I am leaning toward him being immature is this: I have had a lot of relationship trauma / I’ve only been a Christian for over a year. I find it very difficult to balance intentionality with interest. What I mean is: it’s hard to be interested in someone, but at the same time, know that you are not prepared to be a husband. For me, I don’t have a solid enough career yet. I’m not sure where I’m living is where I will be staying. I am still afraid of rejection. So- yes, I perceive that I am too immature for a relationship. So even when I show signs of interest, I can come off as cold or confusing when I back away. So it’s a rock and a hard place for a person who is immature if they have already shown interest- because the options after that point is to: 1. Commit to it (even though you’re unprepared), 2. Back off. That’s really it. I could say there’s a 3rd option, which is: be honest about your situation to the woman/girl in question, but even if you chose this route it’s not going to suddenly make you ready for marriage. But maybe it’s the best option for transparency. I haven’t chosen this option, though. Just my 2 cents and how I think. Again, this person is not me, but maybe there are some nuggets in there.
The guy I like at my church is a little more introverted, although he's really really come out of his shell the last while. He'd come to our church for years, and not one ounce of interest. He moved to a different province last year, and then moved back this October. All of a sudden, he keeps showing up where I am after church. Usually that's at the back where the food is, and where one of our mutual guy friends is, but he ALWAYS makes a point to talk to me. This has happened every Sunday consecutively for about two months now. We usually end up having a 10+ minute conversation about some random things. When the mutual friend talks, the guy I like keeps looking at me to see my reaction. He's not new to faith, but doesn't practice it as much as some other people, and I'm currently struggling with assurance so we haven't talked super deeply yet, although it for sure has come up a few times. We sat with the mutual friend and an older lady at our church Christmas banquet, and he runs the sound board and invited me to come sit with him. His parents are the pastor and his wife, and we're very close with them. His mom told me that he was sitting at the sound board and I could go sit with him. We can always find something to talk about, and he seems genuinely interested in talking to me. I'm wondering if there is something going on or what is happening here! He's a really sweet guy and I really like talking to him; he's super easy to talk to and even though he'd been coming to church for years, we've only started talking in October and I feel like we've been talking forever! Sorry about the huge rant, just wanted to see if anyone had some insight or had a similar experience 😊
A guy has to make it obvious but warm and not offensive to others. On a day trip, a guy appears to always walk by my side and sit across me during meal or snack time. It’s a sign of care and protection that i found sweet in a guy. I have no idea if he’s interested though as he didn’t ask for my number. I think if you area interested, definitely ask do hey number and invite her out for something that you have mutual interests with. I’ll never know if he’s interested or he just happens to walk by me. I really don’t want to over interpret it as I have done it before(a bit embarrassing). I just thought it’s very warm when a guy always wants to be close to be physically.

@@caro.jahdis Yeah that's happened to me to. There was this one girl who kept looking at me, but when I tried to talk to her it seemed like I just killed it. I do better at meeting people when I have someone with me, otherwise it's awkward. But some girls I don't have any trouble with, so maybe I just need to find the right one.
I give side hugs to all my lady friends... most guys in my former church did... so that could be culture, not necessarily a sign that you like someone. Prolonged hugs though, or full frontal ones, watch out for those 😅. They just might be... not guarantee, but they might be. Someone holding onto you for long definitely feels attached to you in some way.
@@natalierene1 I'd try not to overthink it, hehe... Maybe just require that whoever is interested in you be direct, and state it (don't make them say it, just make it your defining value). So you're not led on unnecessarily, whoever wants to be with you may have to just come to you directly and say it. Different hugs can mean different things to different people, so anything less than a declaration of Love would be too vague. It would only leave you confused Cheers 😊
This guy at church plays the drums and I notice him watching me in church and we frequently make eye contact. If something is funny, we look at each other in church to see if each other are laughing. I was told by my mom (who is not in any way delusional lol) that she notices him watched me from across the room. He recently has gotten very intentional in starting conversations with me and coming over to convos I’m in. When in convos with others and we lock eyes, there’s just this feeling. The other day I was talking about a church service I wanted to go to but my parents weren’t going so i wasn’t sure about going and he offered for me to go with his parents (he was going on a day I had to work but his parents were going Saturday, the day I wanted to go) The only thing is he’s 24, and I’m 17. I feel he’s hesitant because of the age gap. And waiting till I’m 18 to to make a move. I’ve known him my entire life and my parents have known him his entire life so it’s really not weird. I typed all that to ask… am I scary or is he interested
I too am a guy who plays drums for church, so I can somewhat relate. To sum up the first part, the consistent locking of eyes and him starting conversations seems like a pretty clear sign. A guy with chivalry (especially a godly one) who’s genuinely interested will try to treat you like a queen, even if he can only be kind in small ways here and there, he’ll try and take the opportunities when they show. So that checks out. I once let my interest develop for a girl I thought was interested in me. Long story short, I was deeply mistaken, and now I’m afraid to try taking up boldness again. You might not be scary, but fear of rejection is a common point of hesitation. Finally, the girl I’m becoming friends with now is just under 18, and I’m entering my twenties. Not quite as big a gap as you have, but that’s still a very large point of hesitation for me. I’m considering waiting until she’s 18 simply because I don’t feel comfortable with the idea of her being a minor still. All this to answer, yes, personally I’d say it sounds like he’s interested, and he probably has a valid reason(s) for waiting. Pray, read the word, and keep Christ at the center of your life. She said his face lit up like a Christmas tree when he mentioned me she said he really, really likes you. At first i thought he just had a staring problem, but in church i was seated far in the back and there was a lot of people and he was way in the front he turned his head around just to look me straight in my eyes. He seems to get a little nervous around me at work too. And his friend who is a girl said that she knows he likes me and i ask her how do you know that she said because he told her and he wanted to take me to church. It sounds like my crush from Christian society and church wasn't interested in me at all and didn't like me but instead he was expressing signs of shyness, friendliness and politeness and just liked to lean in closely when someone was talking to listen to them and he had a constant habit at church of grooming his hair and just liked to be in the kitchen at the same time as another person when that person was alone and he was only behaving like a Christian by wondering why the other person such as me hasn't been around at any of the Christian events. He probably would approach anyone randomly including me. Your signs in this video don't match my experience with this crush so it must be just all me then and not him at all, even though I felt a strong click and bond with him and even though we seemed to have a lot in common. None of your signs were present with his friend who actually contacted me on a dating site who is also a Christian.
Being a person who doesn’t bother people/ keeps to themselves is misconstrued as shy. It makes it frustrating, when you have a mutual interest with a girl, or she likes you more, but with time she will label you as “too shy” or uninterested because you’re slightly quieter than others or you’re not actively trying to get her to do something.. which seems like something that would make a person feel comfortable. I don’t try to communicate with signals or innuendos, if you wanna say something, just say it. However our society puts too much pressure on being “normal” but really it causes people like me to just shut down physically emotionally and spiritually.

I had an incling intuition that two guys fancied me but they denied it so I must have been wrong. One was very shy and another was very outgoing but acted why around me but other times cold and eventually spoke to me and when I said I want to book a room in a hostel he said sounds good. Now... usually my incline intuition is right when it picks up on something good or bad and with one especially the outgoing college hostel receptionist guy, something within me said he had feelings for me and I really felt that and when I responded with oh no yuck, he responded with a laugh and he was playing many love songs around me and he knew I could sing and he overheard me sing, especially my own song when I thought it was a different receptionist on duty so I sang my own song but it was him.

Woohhh my goodness he was sitting next to me for a few times already 😱 I was so nervous, I didn’t want to sit next to him nor anyone from his family. Coming from a woman, if she truly wants you to pressure her, she won't play mind games!! Some signs she'll give are that she'll notice things about you as an individual and your walk with the Lord. She'll also make herself available for you to pressure her in different scenarios. For example, if she steps away from a group setting to sit or walk by herself, she is giving you opportunities to see if you'll actively pressure her and try to get to know her more. Also, if you, as the guy, are just simply unsure, just directly tell her your intentions. Tell her that you are interested in getting to know her more and ask if she would be interested in getting to know you more in that way, as well. A lot of times, we are unsure if the guy is interested, so we wait until he starts actively pressuring us and taking those opportunities. Girls LOVE boldness, and it's EXTREMELY attractive!! We want to be pressured!! Don't wait for her to make a move or say something!!! If you're unsure, just take that step if the Lord is leading you in peace to do so!!! Hope this helps!!!😊
Cuz normally guys dont mind if you donr believe in God like it be cool but Christians understand that they will meet unbelievers and thats okay. But if your lookkng for a spouse you need to be equally yoked and cant compromise on that.

Both Christian and non Christian women are miserable today because they aren’t submitted… The sad thing also is most men aren’t worthy of being submitted unto, but even if you were to find a man worthy, most Christian women haven’t practiced being led and are contributing to the deterioration of the family unit.

I met the best guy ever. Goes to church many times in a week, all our values aligned, 4 months in we do this courtship official thing he was happy and agreed to. But my parents put too much pressure on him to make a decision like a deadline date and I never really got the chance to tell him that I dont want that rush. He broke up with me because of it my parents scared him and got very intense saying not to waste my time. I never got a chance to explain MY BELIEFS on this to him and its so painful. I am hoping he will hear me out, because I also spoke to my parents and they said they would not put so much pressure anymore

Dear guys! Please, if you like a girl, don’t ask any of those questions, it’s a straight up friend zone! He just got lucky she liked him back 😂 If you like a girl, be a gentleman, smile, give her a compliment, talk to her, give her a candy/flower in a lighthearted joking manner - do all of these things but gradually, giving her space, seeing her reaction. If she responds positively, then invite her to a group outing ( you can organize one- be a leader), during which be friendly to everybody. However, buy her coffee or something ( she will notice, while you are friends with everyone, you still give her extra attention). He’s asked me theological questions, he’s told me how much he admired my faith and how he could pray for me, he wanted to do a Bible study one on one, he would do the side hugs/sitting next to me. It was sorta weird. He never liked me. So now idk if these are really signs if a guy likes me. Thoughts?
I get this!! In general these are good hints/ signs and possibly he changed his feelings and then just said he didn’t have feelings for you. But also there are those few occasions, where the opposite sex really does care for you, likes you and wants to learn about you more, while genuinely just wanting to be friends. So I think you may have just come across a rare guy. This is something I struggle with sometimes, because I genuinely care for some of my guy friends and want to have deep conversations with them, but also don’t want to give the wrong signals, because I genuinely just want to be friends with them. So possibly this is the case with the guy you’re mentioning. In general though a guy is going to want to spend time with you and get to know you more
if he has feelings for you, there are those rare guys that genuinely just want to be friends, but in general they’re more interested in being friends if they’re going out of their way ❤️
I'm learning, as a guy, that ladies love clarity. This is true yes? So I figured when I like someone, it's just better to pray about it, try to perceive if they feel the same, then ask. Now I haven't gotten to the last one for personal reasons, but when I'm ready that's what I'll do.
That said, like Kayla K mentioned, it may be you met a really rare guy who exudes a lot of care for his friends, but, the likely scenario is that he had feelings, then they left. Especially if he stopped treating you like that, then it means there were some feelings that are no longer there. I'd do the same only if I am clear I like someone, just so I don't lead the person on.

I am thinking he is immature- speaking from experience.
Naturally when I am interested in someone, I do the same things. Ask deep questions, look at her, etc.
Now why I am leaning toward him being immature is this: I have had a lot of relationship trauma / I’ve only been a Christian for over a year. I find it very difficult to balance intentionality with interest.
What I mean is: it’s hard to be interested in someone, but at the same time, know that you are not prepared to be a husband.
For me, I don’t have a solid enough career yet. I’m not sure where I’m living is where I will be staying. I am still afraid of rejection.
So- yes, I perceive that I am too immature for a relationship. So even when I show signs of interest, I can come off as cold or confusing when I back away. So it’s a rock and a hard place for a person who is immature if they have already shown interest- because the options after that point is to: 1. Commit to it (even though you’re unprepared), 2. Back off.
That’s really it. I could say there’s a 3rd option, which is: be honest about your situation to the woman/girl in question, but even if you chose this route it’s not going to suddenly make you ready for marriage. But maybe it’s the best option for transparency. I haven’t chosen this option, though.
Just my 2 cents and how I think. Again, this person is not me, but maybe there are some nuggets in there.

The guy I like at my church is a little more introverted, although he's really really come out of his shell the last while. He'd come to our church for years, and not one ounce of interest. He moved to a different province last year, and then moved back this October. All of a sudden, he keeps showing up where I am after church. Usually that's at the back where the food is, and where one of our mutual guy friends is, but he ALWAYS makes a point to talk to me. This has happened every Sunday consecutively for about two months now. We usually end up having a 10+ minute conversation about some random things. When the mutual friend talks, the guy I like keeps looking at me to see my reaction. He's not new to faith, but doesn't practice it as much as some other people, and I'm currently struggling with assurance so we haven't talked super deeply yet, although it for sure has come up a few times. We sat with the mutual friend and an older lady at our church Christmas banquet, and he runs the sound board and invited me to come sit with him. His parents are the pastor and his wife, and we're very close with them. His mom told me that he was sitting at the sound board and I could go sit with him. We can always find something to talk about, and he seems genuinely interested in talking to me. I'm wondering if there is something going on or what is happening here! He's a really sweet guy and I really like talking to him; he's super easy to talk to and even though he'd been coming to church for years, we've only started talking in October and I feel like we've been talking forever! Sorry about the huge rant, just wanted to see if anyone had some insight or had a similar experience 😊

A guy has to make it obvious but warm and not offensive to others. On a day trip, a guy appears to always walk by my side and sit across me during meal or snack time. It’s a sign of care and protection that i found sweet in a guy. I have no idea if he’s interested though as he didn’t ask for my number. I think if you area interested, definitely ask do hey number and invite her out for something that you have mutual interests with. I’ll never know if he’s interested or he just happens to walk by me. I really don’t want to over interpret it as I have done it before(a bit embarrassing). I just thought it’s very warm when a guy always wants to be close to be physically.

@@caro.jahdis Yeah that's happened to me to. There was this one girl who kept looking at me, but when I tried to talk to her it seemed like I just killed it. I do better at meeting people when I have someone with me, otherwise it's awkward.
But some girls I don't have any trouble with, so maybe I just need to find the right one.
I give side hugs to all my lady friends... most guys in my former church did... so that could be culture, not necessarily a sign that you like someone. Prolonged hugs though, or full frontal ones, watch out for those 😅. They just might be... not guarantee, but they might be.

@@natalierene1 I'd try not to overthink it, hehe... Maybe just require that whoever is interested in you be direct, and state it (don't make them say it, just make it your defining value). So you're not led on unnecessarily, whoever wants to be with you may have to just come to you directly and say it. Different hugs can mean different things to different people, so anything less than a declaration of Love would be too vague. It would only leave you confused

This guy at church plays the drums and I notice him watching me in church and we frequently make eye contact.
If something is funny, we look at each other in church to see if each other are laughing.
I was told by my mom (who is not in any way delusional lol) that she notices him watched me from across the room.
He recently has gotten very intentional in starting conversations with me and coming over to convos I’m in.
When in convos with others and we lock eyes, there’s just this feeling.
The other day I was talking about a church service I wanted to go to but my parents weren’t going so i wasn’t sure about going and he offered for me to go with his parents (he was going on a day I had to work but his parents were going Saturday, the day I wanted to go)
The only thing is he’s 24, and I’m 17.
I feel he’s hesitant because of the age gap. And waiting till I’m 18 to to make a move.
I’ve known him my entire life and my parents have known him his entire life so it’s really not weird.

I too am a guy who plays drums for church, so I can somewhat relate.
To sum up the first part, the consistent locking of eyes and him starting conversations seems like a pretty clear sign.
A guy with chivalry (especially a godly one) who’s genuinely interested will try to treat you like a queen, even if he can only be kind in small ways here and there, he’ll try and take the opportunities when they show. So that checks out.
I once let my interest develop for a girl I thought was interested in me. Long story short, I was deeply mistaken, and now I’m afraid to try taking up boldness again. You might not be scary, but fear of rejection is a common point of hesitation.
Finally, the girl I’m becoming friends with now is just under 18, and I’m entering my twenties. Not quite as big a gap as you have, but that’s still a very large point of hesitation for me. I’m considering waiting until she’s 18 simply because I don’t feel comfortable with the idea of her being a minor still.
All this to answer, yes, personally I’d say it sounds like he’s interested, and he probably has a valid reason(s) for waiting.

Hey there, I too have a similar situation. We are both christians and we work together he does a lot of staring to the point a coworker friend of mine pointed it out. She said his face lit up like a Christmas tree when he mentioned me she said he really, really likes you. At first i thought he just had a staring problem, but in church i was seated far in the back and there was a lot of people and he was way in the front he turned his head around just to look me straight in my eyes. Being a person who doesn’t bother people/ keeps to themselves is misconstrued as shy. It makes it frustrating, when you have a mutual interest with a girl, or she likes you more, but with time she will label you as “too shy” or uninterested because you’re slightly quieter than others or you’re not actively trying to get her to do something.. which seems like something that would make a person feel comfortable. I don’t try to communicate with signals or innuendos, if you wanna say something, just say it. However our society puts too much pressure on being “normal” but really it causes people like me to just shut down physically emotionally and spiritually.

I had an incling intuition that two guys fancied me but they denied it so I must have been wrong. One was very shy and another was very outgoing but acted why around me but other times cold and eventually spoke to me and when I said I want to book a room in a hostel he said sounds good. Now... usually my incline intuition is right when it picks up on something good or bad and with one especially the outgoing college hostel receptionist guy, something within me said he had feelings for me and I really felt that and when I responded with oh no yuck, he responded with a laugh and he was playing many love songs around me and he knew I could sing and he overheard me sing, especially my own song when I thought it was a different receptionist on duty so I sang my own song but it was him.

Coming from a woman, if she truly wants you to pressure her, she won't play mind games!! Some signs she'll give are that she'll notice things about you as an individual and your walk with the Lord. She'll also make herself available for you to pressure her in different scenarios. For example, if she steps away from a group setting to sit or walk by herself, she is giving you opportunities to see if you'll actively pressure her and try to get to know her more.
Also, if you, as the guy, are just simply unsure, just directly tell her your intentions. Tell her that you are interested in getting to know her more and ask if she would be interested in getting to know you more in that way, as well. A lot of times, we are unsure if the guy is interested, so we wait until he starts actively pressuring us and taking those opportunities. Girls LOVE boldness, and it's EXTREMELY attractive!! We want to be pressured!! Don't wait for her to make a move or say something!!! If you're unsure, just take that step if the Lord is leading you in peace to do so!!!
