In partnership with the Directorate of the Galapagos National Park, The Charles Darwin Foundation, and Catlin Seaview Survey, we traveled to the archipelago to collect 360-degree Street View imagery.

@@hasna6473 the animals in the Galapagos are not afraid of you. You can walk up to halks and stand 3 feet from them and they will not care, you can walk through rocks with hundreds of iguanas on them, and not a single one will run away unless you literally step on it. The will animals there don't have the fear instinct to run away from something that approaches them because they evolved separately without predators. The islands are so well preserved and you can observe everything so closely because almost nothing runs away from you. The landscapes are amazing and the underwater is incredible and the sea lions are great also.

@@hasna6473 there water is nice there’s a tons of sea turtles and Marianne iguanas and fish there isn’t much coral but it is it’s made up for by all the sea life and fish

I travelled galapagos islands last winter . and it was amazing. I truly appreciate google maps for making street view of galapagos so that i can travell these beautiful islands again.
this is truly fantastic, SO proud to be Ecuadorian and have these beautiful islands be part of our beautiful land :) everyone should visit the islands. It will be well worth your time, i guarantee it :)
Excellent job!! Ecuador is full of amenities: beaches, mountains, volcanoes, jungle and of course Galapagos Islands. You can rent motorcycles to ride around all the equator, I can tell you that will be unforgettable. Ecuador is a real paradise !!

Hey Google. Great work as always! I was wondering if you had already considered mapping locations in space? Specifically the International Space Station? I think it would not only be easy to do, but also mind blowing! I would LOVE to be able to stroll around miles high on the ISS. Just persuade the next astronauts to bring a Nexus 5 with them =D. Not only would it be the first phone to be in a advertisement in space (if you wanted to make an ad in the process), but we could get panoramic images to merge with Google Maps/Earth. Thanks.

Street View Ecuador, only Galapagos Islands??? Are you kidding me??? Galapagos is a wonderful but Ecuador is more than only Galapagos Islands. We need street view in Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca, Manta, Machala, Riobamba, Ambato, Loja, Tulcán, Santo Domingo, Esmeraldas, Portoviejo, etc. Ponte once Google Maps =D
