So now I know that the braided line is a problem. THANK YOU! I had a for real compressor that I used for years mostly on my antique car hobby, but after downsizing I don't even have a garage anymore (old age sucks) and wanted to build and airbrush some model cars. This video was most helpful!
Thank you so much exact info I was looking for. Trying to figure out what that little cap was for was driving me nuts and couldn’t find any other videos on the subject so thanks so much god bless
Thank you Mista! I'm getting into airbrushing for my models after many yrs of brushing & sponging. Spent 1hr in a model shop yesterday(Sat) with the shop assistant, trying to work why they had propellant cans & the airbrush kit from Humbrol but no adaptor. But in fact [in seeing your demo] the airbrush kit had the adaptor all along. Exposed a little lack of knowledge with that assistant I guess. Oh well back I go to buy. But at least I'm armed with a bit more knowledge.....:) Cheers
pity i didn't see your video a month ago. have spent the past month wrecking my head to search and buy hose and adapters and still don't have the correct kit! you've cleared up alot though. thanks.
I never even knew this was an option. I am brand new to air brushing. I have a 3D print on demand business. I have a compressor and 3 guns and no idea how to use them. I might step back to this until I figure out how to use the air brush set up I have know. Thank you and if you need anything printed let me know.
Hi there I'm new to airbrushing, and have purchased a can of Aztek airbrush propellant. A friend gave me an airbrush kit that is supposed to be used with can propellants but the adapter that it came with is to large to screw onto the can. Will this adapter work for the Aztek brand can propellant and my airbrush kit hose? Thank you. Ursula from Canada.
this doesn't work with a propane tank does it? they use different threads right? im asking because i had a stupid idea of using the adapter for an emergency kit project.
This is the closest to what I've been looking for I've found so far but I'm still having an issue. When trying to attach the hose with the adapter to the air can, air just keeps spraying out and you know... of course its cold and not real safe for my hands when trying. I didn't hear a ton of air coming from your can when you attached it, so any idea what I'm doing wrong?
@@wolfzyplayz9981 nope I kinda gave up for the time being a year ago. Have other things on my plate but when I get back into it I'd love to know how to get past this 😔
@@AcousticKitty I was having the same problem and I found the solution! Before you screw the pressure regulator onto the can, first take the little pin out of the top, then screw the regulator onto the can and reinsert the pin. The pin is what releases the air. Hope this helps!

is there a way to disconnect the airbrush from the can without the air spraying everywhere? this keeps happening to me and im trying to clean my airbrush but the air is still connected
One of the problems and is why I have to resort to this method, I do have a air compressor in storage but am unable to use it currently, as I am forced to rent a unit and as air compressors make a lot of noise when they build up the pressure, it is against the rules set by, when renting, No loud noises that could disturb the peace of your fellow neighbors, etc, I'm also restricted in being able to use varnish or such too due to the fumes that could drift towards your other neighbors, over here in Australia, these are standard rules in renting and which make it harder for anyone who is trying to hold onto there hobby of modelmaking rather than having to be restricted to only model subjects that don't have a perfect clean and polished finish etc, meaning no modern ships, cars, aircraft's etc. I'm on a low income.
This would be perfect for me as I live in a small apartment and I can almost hear my neighbor farting and chewing, so even though the propellant cans might be a little pricey in the long run, its cheaper than getting a 250 dollar compressor AND having it shipped to norway :) (coul probably get the same compressor locally, but at at least the same price)
Somehow I got the impression that the propellant regulator could be used on spray can paint. In other words, instead of using a propellant can, hook up a can of spray paint. Am I correct ??
Nope! If you do that, you will be famous, as none of those components fit together nor is a can of paint which is already pressurized with paint in a can ever going to work with an instrument/tool that is designed to be supplied with it's own paint supply and air supply! I am not going to criticize you Dennis Henrich but I do believe that you could have figured that our for yourself! Give yourself credit Dennis Henrich YOU CAN DO IT! Best of luck with your airbrushing projects! If you have any other questions, don't be afraid to ask!
Yep. Done did figure it out. Had asked this question before I bought an airbrush. Was really unfamiliar with the propellant adapter/regulator. Have bought a compressor since and learning how to use that. Thanks for your feedback
I cannot believe why is it so hard for the airbrush industry to just tell you what fits and what doesn't to the propellant cans. Second hose I ordered and still won't fit. lol... wow.
Note, this is a horrible way to airbrush model kits. You will not get a smooth finish or any detail work. Your better off buying a can of spray paint for a smoother coat.

Good work Unca Stu! You should be airbrushing by now! Best of luck with your projects!
Make video on the air intake adapter, for this Badger Mini spray gun, that fits a regular airbrush hose, please.
Thanks. I was given this exact setup but I was too afraid to connect it. All sorted now.

Maravilloso 😊👍
is it safe to use for airbrush tattoos ? also I read a review on Amazon that the if you let the propellant gas out its so cold it can burn your hand
I believe that adapter will work on a vehicle spare tire valve. Heavier but cheaper than those cans. Bin der dun dat.
The hose end came off off my cap when the can was turned on. Can this be fixed by forcing this back on or do I have to get a new one?
is there a way to disconnect the airbrush from the can without the air spraying everywhere? this keeps happening to me and im trying to clean my airbrush but the air is still connected
Because it is blue paint?

How long does this last
hi do the 750ml can last as i want to use it to paint a 7-8cm model plane?
thanks
I don't know?
@@jmanzemail why answer then ...

Hope someone stocks the propellant here though :/
The air pressure from the can blew out the tip of the regulator. Now I need to buy a new can regulator for my set that I haven't even used.
Not all rattle can will hook up to that regulator
can it be reused?
you don't tell us where to get the hose, or what size the coupling are
Yes he does. He clearly says he got it all at Airbrush City!
idk what I'm doing wrong. I'm trying to screw in the airbrush propellant and it's just spraying everywhere!
did you close the valve on top
bxkid7 how do you do it please? I'm having same problem. I screw cap on then turn valve in and just leaks everywhere
I need help nothing isn't coming out of mine and it's brand new I just got it

Badger have parts for everything, LOL!
mine doesnt work.
Fix it or get a new one!
+Joseph Manzaro dude. I commented that 2 YEARS AGO. I'm over it
I know that! Stick with me buddy! I have all the answers!

try and connect a decent airbrush to a propellant...none of the adapters work or fit.
Better buy a compressor as those cans will ruin you!
