Only suddenly realized this because of Brad Paisley strolling into the recording sesh of the Game of Thrones theme alongside Scott Ian, Tom Morello, and Nuno from Extreme among others looking completely out of place. And then proceeding to blow Nuno (and my) minds with his little known monster chops during his solo.
00:05 Brad Paisley - Nervous Breakdown 00:53 Steve Morse - The Bash 01:40 Brent Mason - Pick It Apart 02:28 Johnny Hiland - That's Alrigth Mama 02:47 Albert Lee - Sweet Little Lisa Por nada! ❤
His oklahoma borderline solo from the crossroads festival is probably my second favourite solo ever! I was a down the line metal head at the time and was used to listening to shredders but that solo blew my mind and still does!
My favorite guitar solo is Brent mason playing Alan Jackson's" I don't even know her name". The acoustic and electric parts. My second is nervous breakdown. 3rd would be mason playing " mercury blues" 4 would be Alan Jackson " long, long way" I don't know who plays it. 5 would be ventures" rebel rouser" the greatest hits version not the golden greats.
Now this is a fantastic list!!! Although I have Summertime Blues solo just a hair above Mercury Blues solo, but I see that I’m not the only one who has a lot of Brent at the top of their list
Nothing not to like about Albert Lee's playing, but I never cared much for the way his usual guitar sounds. He sounds great on that Tele, though! Be Cool.
that ending from brent masons solo sounds fire, ive heard other great players doing something simular, that walking bass line through chord shapes back to the tonic, anyone any clue what chords those are?
Truthfully, these guys nowadays just pluck notes up and down the scales at 100 miles an hour. This should be titled the "five guys with the fastest fingers". There is no melody to what they play, just plucking. This is not truly making music.
Si creer que un buen guitarrista es solo aquel que toca a la velocidad de la luz, no lo creo. El número 1 parecía mas rock and roll que country. Hay que ver entre los que realmente tocan este estilo. Cuando no lo son , se nota
Not the direction I thought this list was going. Was expecting solos from a singers song, not instrumentals, although I have the albums most of these are on! I could listen to Brent, Johnny, and Brad any time
You must have had the sound muted. Country music is fast, slow and all in between. I prefer a little singing style lead guitar thrown in with the fast picking. All of these guys have played it all though. Eddy Shaver was a great one not on here. ruclips.net/video/tj3PG3FSgfY/видео.html
Naw. Not even close, except maybe for Brad Paisley. These are just speed (noise) with no soul or feel. It’s not all about how fast you can play. These are terrible in my opinion.
Brad's is literally just thrash without distortion. Lol
God damn right

I see a lot of metal heads in country guitar shredding videos. Me as well. Lol😅
Minus the slides. No one in thrash slides that much. But anyone who really “knows” that Brad Paisley has always just been shred without distortion.
There's just something to be said about a Telecaster.
I've been a strat guy for 19 years, but I find myself wanting a tele more and more these days.
No
00:05 Brad Paisley - Nervous Breakdown
00:53 Steve Morse - The Bash
01:40 Brent Mason - Pick It Apart
02:28 Johnny Hiland - That's Alrigth Mama
02:47 Albert Lee - Sweet Little Lisa
Por nada! ❤
Good list!
With a telecaster, you can rule the world.
Mason is off the chart but for me Johnny Hiland is the most fluid player
Mason might be using a bender here
This is my favorite country guitar video because of Steve Morse and Brent Mason ∆
With that chicken picking, they all sound the same. There’s no personality at all anymore.
Roy Nichols played with more originality and personality in just the opening solo of "Fightin side of me" than all of this nonsense combined.
Ignorant
Of this list Paisley’s would’ve been #1 & Brent’s would’ve been #2.
notta...
You can't do BEST Country guitar solos without Vince Gill. That's just blasphemy! 😯
That’s correct.
His oklahoma borderline solo from the crossroads festival is probably my second favourite solo ever! I was a down the line metal head at the time and was used to listening to shredders but that solo blew my mind and still does!
He’s good but he’s not in the same league as mason or highland. It’s just a fact
Right? Oklahoma Borderline FTW.
Jerry Reed, Danny Gatton
Roy Nichols. Don Rich. Roy Buchanan. Grady Martin!!! Glen Campbell. Jerry Reed.
Whatever. 🙄
Glen Campbell - Gentle On My Mind. Vince Gill - Oklahoma Borderline.

I love Johnny Hiland and I love Albert Lee, but I think they've both played much better than these two examples
yep. Johnny Hiland...cmon...this guy breathes complex twangy country flow. Just didn't show it here.
that ending from brent masons solo sounds fire, ive heard other great players doing something simular, that walking bass line through chord shapes back to the tonic, anyone any clue what chords those are?

The Guitarists: 🗿
The Cameraman:👁️👄👁️
Si creer que un buen guitarrista es solo aquel que toca a la velocidad de la luz, no lo creo. El número 1 parecía mas rock and roll que country.
Hay que ver entre los que realmente tocan este estilo. Cuando no lo son , se nota
No Glen Campbell, Roy Clark, Chet Atkins or Vince Gill?????
Brad was hands down the best on this list.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 get real🤣🤣🤣
Is this who is that fastest? Brad Paisley testing a Dr. Z amp and just playing whatever has more soul than just showing how fast you can play
No Danny Gatton? This must be a mistake!
Danny Gatton?
This sweet little Lisa, oh god…
Faltou o solo do Ezequiel de Matos; Fantastic BlueGrass Country. Não perde nada pra esses aí
horrible selection no melody, just random picks of who can play it faster
But can you leave here and play a Deep Purple set later that night?
none ov those solos were very musical besides albert lees , country shredding
I think Vince Gill might be in a chart.
Should've thrown in some Danny Gatton as a bonus
The more duck it sounds the best it is!
No Glen Campbell or Vince Gill?
Why was every solo identical?
Noise.
Brent and Jonny..!! Pezxk
Any list without Ray Flacke is worthless.
No Danny gate on?
Morse's tone is awful.
Not the direction I thought this list was going. Was expecting solos from a singers song, not instrumentals, although I have the albums most of these are on! I could listen to Brent, Johnny, and Brad any time
Most triplets running up and down a scale fast I’ve ever heard, when Roy nickel’s played it was something memorable nothing memorable about this.
A sin not to include Danny Gatton.
5 best...no danny gatton??? Jajajajaja
@@rolomolo3839 My thoughts exactly
Funny i didnt hear any country music

Eddy Shaver was a great one not on here.

Great players all of them but where's DANNY GATTON ?
Add anything by Scotty Anderson on here and you will be throwing rocks at the rest of them
They are all good... But Lee can move out from Country and play anything superbly, and also sings great
👍👍👍🖐🖐🖐👍
so can Johnny
Scotty Anderson should be here.
Scotty would make them all look bad.
Scotty an Danny gatton are above all these players.
I know Steve Morse and Albert Lee have been with Music Man for years but I still think Telecaster when I see them .
vince gill: oklahoma borderline, from LBR
?????????????????
Turbo Folk!😂
Lee Kernaghan - Cobar Line has an awesome solo
Só a nata 🎸😍
Leon Rhodes should've been in the mix.
Nailed it.
What a bridge on Brent’s Tele???? That’s some old soloing and the best players in the world...
Who knew Mason was sporting a Floyd Rose back in the day. Don’t remember any dive bombs tho lol!!
no Skaggs?
Albert Smoked them all.
where is Danny Gatton?
Morse is not hybrid picking there it's all alternate picking.
So therefore is the hardest one on this list.At the same time Morse's musical complexity is above all the others too.
You guys nailed it. Steve Morse is incredible in this clip

Agree 💯
Eeee hhaaaa !!!! 🇩🇿❤🇺🇸 👍👍👏👏
feel like a nutcase listenin to this lmaooo
Especially as a metalhead 😂
Johnny cash folsom prison blues
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I'm surprised Jerry Reed wasn't on this. Often overlooked.
This is not even close to the best solos... jees where have u been ??
