This reminds me of why I love media molecule's Little Big Planet. This game looks like it's just pure and simple creative fun. Probably going to get a vita now.
This and Gravity Rush definatly are system sellers. And with Gravity Rush 2 in the works, it looks like the vita is gonna be a phenominal handheld for 1st party titles.
I noticed in the game that there has been a lot of dropped characters and features. The horn where you scream into the mic is not there and the bearded scrap isn't there either. Also the back touch pad paper has a different texture.
Rag Doll Kungfu isn't technically made by MM, it was made by people who were still at Lionhead studio and Qi Studios who then left soon-after and founded MM though.
That's actually....a really good question o_O!... Never thought of that. For the game to ask you what ethnicity you are at the start of the game or skin color would be kinda bizarre too.
Get a sense that MM clicked with the different interaction possibilities the Vita affords--tearing through the paper with back touch, tilting and changing orientation on the screen, using the camera to bring in textures. Lots to be optimistic about here!
They have a link to the music video for the song on the channel, it's by the group Stealing Sheep; the song's called Shut Eye. Pretty awesome song, the Sony Europe people have good taste in music.
This is what most games lack these days. I mean games like CoD BO2 are going to be bought a lot (I'll probably get it myself, and it will be fun for a certain amount of time) but I doubt a lot of people will even talk about it in like 5 years anymore. It is games like this that stay in people's memory and will be replayed years later. I'm still playing SOME old SNES/Ps1/Ps2/N64/Gameboy/Gamecube games because they are timeless although the graphics might be outdated.
this game is according to the developer open world action adventure with quests, platforming, puzzles and boss battles. Also the developer said that the adventuring aspect was inspired by the legend of zelda, get hype
MM mentioned they will have the finger customizable to suit variety of people but they haven't quite figured how to do it nicely with out a "create a finger screen"
this^^ so true MM said the game is still in development and will include an open world interaction with npc, boss battles and puzzle solving. Think of an action adventure with platform and puzzle elements
Media molecule has got be the most creative game company out there they literally specialize in creative gaming.A prime example is the little big planet franchise probably the most customizable games in existence @.@
Really you cant go wrong with a Mm game. They are one of my favorite developers. Have played LBP 1-2 on PS3, LBP PSP, and LBP VITA logging over 3000+ mins in the level creator(check out my Vita level, Christmas Lights Gone Wild), also played LBP Karting. One thing I really want to see in this game is a level creator. Since most of there other games offered it. A chance to build in 3d would make this my favorite game on the Vita.
I'm a 3DS troll, which means, I freaking love my 3DS and all the amazing titles already out on it, and on the horizon. However, it's not a war between us consumers. The more consoles with great content, the more fun for us! I am really hoping for Vitas success. I'm even considering buying a vita just for Soul Sacrifice and Persona. I'm hoping lots of more amazing content will show up at E3 for the Vita, to push me over. I also have a Wii U and a PS3, and love both of em!
Gorgeous. Edges me closer to buying one. Glad to see games that can only really be played on Vita. I don't want to play home console games ported over. I want unique experiences.
At first I was dissapointed that I would have to wait longer for LBP 3, but this looks freakin' amazing. Plus, LBP Vita will keep me busy for some time.
Its an indie game, its look isn't childish but very stylized and the reason its on the vita is for what the vita can do. Not exactly gimmicky if it's able to integrate all the controls well.
Just because those companies are "mainstream" doesn't necessarily mean they'll continue to make generic games. There are dozens of companies who create FPS after FPS after FPS (indie or otherwise). I'm referring to companies that doesn't follow a play formula. I've played many video games in my lifetime, and I own a lot of games, and from what I've seen I would prefer to play an MM (or ND) game over everything else. It's my opinion and I stand by it.
Even if this and killzone are the only big games coming out this fall I'm ok with that. They both are shaping up to look really great, and are polar opposites.
The same way as it does on the 3DS, It detects heat and force at a very light magnitude. I assume you'd get the same result by tapping the screen with your palm but they might've programmed restrictions that would only allow detection by a light force.
**SPOILER**
i just finished the game....i friggin' cried at the end Dx.just a cute message ^~^
If only getting the Crown was that easy... (LBP players will understand)
wow this game shows alot of vita's potential too bad vita doesnt get the attention it deserves
the game don't looks like that...... is better
The song for people looking is Shut Eye by Stealing Sheep
Little late but not all heroes wear capes
Zach Csolti
I’m not a little
Media Molecule always puts out that game that just takes you back to your childhood and makes you want to stay there
Media Molecule and Stealing Sheep together? So much awesome.
Shut Eye HAS to be in the game.
This reminds me of why I love media molecule's Little Big Planet. This game looks like it's just pure and simple creative fun. Probably going to get a vita now.
Damm I should probably play this game again
got the vita just for this. mostly. such an amazing game. i love media molecule.
This trailer makes the game look WAAAAY better than it actually is
But it is still very fun
This and Gravity Rush definatly are system sellers. And with Gravity Rush 2 in the works, it looks like the vita is gonna be a phenominal handheld for 1st party titles.
there's more in this trailer than i've seen in the game
What if my finger it's black?
I noticed in the game that there has been a lot of dropped characters and features. The horn where you scream into the mic is not there and the bearded scrap isn't there either. Also the back touch pad paper has a different texture.
Rag Doll Kungfu isn't technically made by MM, it was made by people who were still at Lionhead studio and Qi Studios who then left soon-after and founded MM though.
Media Molecule is a wonderful developer and this will be amazing. I hope there will be a level editor like lbp.
You can select your skin tone at the start of the game :) Also your gender and age, those affect the finger too!
What is the song for this announcement trailer? It’s a really good choice!
Best vita game of the year.
Because it's the only one!
MrEtgamerz Next year there will be a total of 464 games released for the vita.
MrEtgamerz Or did you mean it's the only good vita game?
kuel321 It's one of the only good games!
I'm happy I didn't buy a Vita! 3DS FTW! :D
ET Gamer Z Killzone mercenary buddy.
Stealing Sheep- Shut Eye
This looks so sweet, simple, and fun at the same time.
Glad I picked up a Vita. :)
Stealing Sheep 'Shut Eye'
I'm loving how there's multiple letters to you depending on how you interact with the game. More endings then Mass Effect 3 already.
I can't wait for this. Amazing style, platformer adventuring and puzzles.
I''d want MOAR SCREAMING SECTIONS!
This is the kind of thing Handhelds should be used for all the time. On that note, this is probably the best use of the platform I've seen.
yea you've added the trackname to the desciption - you are my hero of the day! :)
That's actually....a really good question o_O!... Never thought of that. For the game to ask you what ethnicity you are at the start of the game or skin color would be kinda bizarre too.
just played the demo, definitely going to buy
Get a sense that MM clicked with the different interaction possibilities the Vita affords--tearing through the paper with back touch, tilting and changing orientation on the screen, using the camera to bring in textures. Lots to be optimistic about here!
1:39 imaging you're on the bus playing and you do that xD
They have a link to the music video for the song on the channel, it's by the group Stealing Sheep; the song's called Shut Eye. Pretty awesome song, the Sony Europe people have good taste in music.
Watching this again still gave me goosebumps.
Song is Shut Eye by Stealing Sheep
The song is Shut Eye by Stealing Sheep
Media Molecule really know how to capture the ageless qualities of magic and innovation in a game.
This is what most games lack these days. I mean games like CoD BO2 are going to be bought a lot (I'll probably get it myself, and it will be fun for a certain amount of time) but I doubt a lot of people will even talk about it in like 5 years anymore.

Man, this game looks awesome, I love the style! I hope the trailer accurately represents the magic presented in the trailer.
The song is called "Shut Eye" by Stealing Sheep :)
I hope the control gimmicks don't end up ruining this, it looks quite promising.
The song is "Shut Eye" by Stealing Sheep
We can definetly recognise MM style in this game, so good to see again :)
This makes me want to get a Vita.
I love you, Media Molecule.
Thank you media molecule, for making my list of games to get one longer >.>"
Ugh, I've only seen this trailer twice and the fucking song was stuck in my head for the past week.....
Microphone :) when you blow on mic it capture noise, this trick is old as DS, which also had a mic and it was first of the use of it.
song is Shut Eye by Stealing Sheep :D
The music is Shut Eye by Stealing Sheep.
this game is according to the developer open world action adventure with quests, platforming, puzzles and boss battles. Also the developer said that the adventuring aspect was inspired by the legend of zelda, get hype
There's a camera on the front. It might look at your colour, or just ask you to choose a shade of your choice.
The name of song is Shut Eye by Stealing Sheep,if anyone wants to know.
And here's where I would buy the game... if I had a Vita!
You should get one.. I am actually enjoying mine
Fladnag I bought mine today with tearaway and it is so cool *.*
I am not going o lie, this is the most clever use of touch screen I have seen period, I love the fingers popping up, I almost died laughing from that.
MM mentioned they will have the finger customizable to suit variety of people but they haven't quite figured how to do it nicely with out a "create a finger screen"
this^^ so true MM said the game is still in development and will include an open world
interaction with npc, boss battles and puzzle solving. Think of an action adventure with platform and puzzle elements
This honestly looks like one of the best portable games I've seen, ever.
Media molecule has got be the most creative game company out there they literally specialize in creative gaming.A prime example is the little big planet franchise probably the most customizable games in existence @.@
Media Molecule you never fail to make amazing games!
Really you cant go wrong with a Mm game. They are one of my favorite developers.

"I deserve a crown!"
ADORABLE.
Tearaway for the Vita , Little big planet for the vita.
I see what you did there LittleBigPlanet Creator
it be nice to see this little guy in ALL-Stars
Just by looking at this you can tell its a Media Molecule game. You can also tell its going to be amazing!
I haven't had a real game-changing (no pun intended) gaming experience in a long time. This will be the first game I get for my Vita.
... you don't find this fun? MADNESS! I couldn't stop smiling during the whole duration of the trailer. D:
I'm a 3DS troll, which means, I freaking love my 3DS and all the amazing titles already out on it, and on the horizon. However, it's not a war between us consumers. I think the Vita recognizes the color of your fingers through the camera.
No actually it has a bumper in the back thats use for game play, thats what they use
Have you ever seen Paper Mario be this innovative, or even look this good?
i've been watching this trailer on repeat for an hour, my mind is blown and i'm determined to buy a vita first thing in the morning
I'm all for innovation as long as it's been properly thought out. Fortunately, Media Molecule has a good track record.
Originality and imagination at its pure state! I love this!
fo me, i like that kind of frame rate because it gives a stop motion-like feel to it.
OMG! Thank you! Ive been trying to find out what this song was called.
Gorgeous. Edges me closer to buying one. Glad to see games that can only really be played on Vita. I don't want to play home console games ported over. I want unique experiences.
It has been comfirmed that you can change the colour of your fingers displayed in the game
If its coming from Media Molecule it's going to be gold.
They have already confirmed that you can choose finger characteristics
Seems like the case, looking at the fact that it had different tones between the gameplay in two shots.
I hope that the music in this trail comes out soon
Just because those companies are "mainstream" doesn't necessarily mean they'll continue to make generic games. There are dozens of companies who create FPS after FPS after FPS (indie or otherwise). I'm referring to companies that doesn't follow a play formula. I've played many video games in my lifetime, and I own a lot of games, and from what I've seen I would prefer to play an MM (or ND) game over everything else. It's my opinion and I stand by it.
I thought of this too... it would be simple enough to have a sliding color scale to choose from for the fingers, right?
I don't know if someone answered this already, but I played the demo at PAX and they had a variety of skin tones to choose from. :)
Iota would make a great DLC for Playstation Allstars Battle Royale,he'd/she'd be perfect as Sackboy's/Parappa's rival!
i heard that you can choose the color you want for the fingers
it has been confirmed you can tweak the finger texture colour :)
A DLC where you can change the character to your own sackboy/sackgirl.
That would be great
I sense a new challenger approaching as DLC for PS All Stars and also a new mascot
One day a nintendo game will get a game with that much charm and innovation and that doesn't rely on pretension and prehistoric hardware... one day.
This reminds me of my home, and where I first experienced love...
I've been replaying this trailer just for the music. I mean I'll probably get the game because of MM, but the music is top notch.
this game looks oddly awesome.
can't wait to play this game on my vita
thats great people should support new ideas from devs
This is reminiscent of the style here on the legend of Zelda - Wind Waker.
Even if this and killzone are the only big games coming out this fall I'm ok with that. They both are shaping up to look really great, and are polar opposites.
There are multiple skin choices and finger sizes / shapes to choose from.
:)
This looks great. Now I have to get a Vita! I love Media Molecule!
The same way as it does on the 3DS, It detects heat and force at a very light magnitude. I assume you'd get the same result by tapping the screen with your palm but they might've programmed restrictions that would only allow detection by a light force.
This trailer generates many happy feelings.
