    Okay, just got the new soft foam faceplate for my goggles 2.
    Fits like a dream and very comfortable. One problem. Now I’m constantly getting my lenses fogging up. Very quickly and pretty bad. It’s very maddening.
    Okay I live in a hot tropical climate in southern Taiwan so that doesn’t help.
    Question… has anyone tried anti fog spray or wipe with any success?
    Anyone else have this problem?
    The fitment of the new gasket is night and day better now with no light leak. The original gasket had a huge open space at the sides of the goggles.
    With the new faceplate I seem to have better peripheral vision. Not perfect but I can live with it.

      Pinning this so if anyone has tried anti-fogging spray on the lenses, they can chime in. I did hear some reports of lenses being damaged by something, but wasn’t sure if it was a cleaning agent, anti-fogging spray, or what.

      @@ChaddRainsFPV thanks,
      I got some anti fog spray from an optical shop. I don’t spray it on the diopters but I spray it on a tissue and wipe it on. It did work on a pair of glasses that I sprayed one lens only and put it over a steaming kettle. The treated lens stayed clear. Going to try my goggles next.

      @@kchappelle Right on, I didn't expect internal fogging issues, but if you did have Integras instead of the Goggles2 they have a set of diopters that I would suggest coating instead of the actual lenses. Since you have Goggles2, the diopters are essentially built in and so you would have to apply to the lenses. Please let me know how it holds up in a couple weeks 🤙

    Can confirm. For ME, on my face, the Pyrodrone V2 Comfy Foam is the best solution I've found. It provides some relief while eliminating all light leak and still provides the exact clearance (from lens to eye) necessary to see then entire image edge to edge. Your mileage may vary.

Also there is another even more comfy one in development more along the line of the V1/V2 comfort foam but still keeping good focus on the optics for non Asian people. When that is ready I will make posts in the big Facebook groups like it did last month for this foam😎

      @flipfpv Год назад +1

      @@proshotfpv5337 I got the pyrodrone comfy foam and it's good. Nice job. If I could make a suggestion for future versions it would be to make the foam a little bit wider so it has better support. Also, when I first tried the goggles they fogged up immediately but I tried pulling them away from my face just slightly so there was a small air gap around the bottom and the fog went away almost instantly. I wonder if there might be a way to incorporate some sort of spacer or vent between the foam and the goggles? Seems like that might solve the fogging issue.

    • @proshotfpv5337
      @proshotfpv5337 Год назад +3

      @@flipfpv my experience is you need some gap around the nose for air to enter. My preference is to have the nose piece out. But it may not work for everyone as the bottom needs to be stiffer/more dense to take over support. A wider "fatter" foam without nose piece is currently in development already and will be available in the near future 😎.

    • @ChaddRainsFPV
      @ChaddRainsFPV  Год назад

      Usually because I can only find an area that is about 1km LOS, beyond that there are some obstacles (like trees, hills, bushes or buildings) which drastically degrade the signal when you’re at that range.
      I’m sure I could go much further in an obstructed area, but there are no airports willing to support my shenanigans at this time hahah.
