- This episode is a continuation of my catch up with solo rider Henriette. After a tricky sandy ride, we got to our campground where we caught up with some German travelers. This was a camping to remember. Despite the heavy rain, we still had heaps of fun!

Flat chicken: A friend of mine drives a truck around Europe. Somewhere in Germany, he found the remains of an animal that had been driven over several times near a McDonald´s on the Autobahn. He pulled a McD-paper bag from a waste bin, scratched the animal off the road, put it in the bag, walked into the restaurant and placed the bag on the counter, saying: "This is the last one for today!"

Do the both Germans having a vhannel here? I love my CRF250L Hildegard to death. Just bought the 300L last week, just in case i can finally start to Europe. Myanmar is still close, cutting me off from India, China does not let abyone in currently either 🤨 ...and with this Ukraine shit atm its difficult anyways in EasternEurope. Would like to see more about the setups of the 250L s perfekt bike light and reliable ❤

When I see you put a video up it makes me happy however, I hate sand the first and only time I fell was in sand so now Im afraid of it and try to avoid 🤪 👊🏼
When I ride through sand I never do it slow...bike becomes very unstable. I also lower the air pressure in my tires.
I remember camping when I was in high school with 4 friends and the big tent had leaks all over the place and it was pouring it was the worst camping trip ever. The next day we packed up and went home.
The gs 800 is no joke to control in thick sand, I think they just have too much weight towards the front wheel also the reason they don't wheelie easily.

I get really curious to know how people manage to be travelling for so long , budget wise.
When you have no money, give people a question for work. When you have good working skills is ever good. Or you handling problems at your accomodation and become a small amount to come to your nett destination.

That would have been horrible alone.
We all know that sand riding needs gas and speed - contrary to our feelings. Pity that we don't have sand in Bavaria, mostly easy gravel roads with rare mud patches in between. For training I'd love to have any terrain around. Happy times despite the heavy rain. And a dry tent/sleeping bag. Cheers from Nürnberg, Günter

I don't use anything special, I have just a normal thin laptop case. I carry it in the bag behind me so it's quite save during falls.

I'll bet you'll think real hard in getting a smaller bike next time, LOL.
70 yrs young and have had everything from 125cc to 1300cc,now ride a Kawasaki X300 Versys and it's really all you need. Last year's trip over 5000 miles and never wanted something bigger. Averaged 64.3 mpg for the trip. Your still the greatest Kinga. Can't wait to see you in the United states. Every year you get more beautiful. God bless you. Did you deflate tyres?
In sand you need to move as fast as you can or even faster.
Yes, of course deflate my tires but sandy up hills are the killer for the fully loaded bike. That's when you loose momentum.

Long time ago, to go to Ponta do Ouro it was all the way like that, and if it start raining you could not go on only stop and wait,........that was funny, we use to go on a group all with normal tires on honda 50cc.....and two on each bike.......good times.........and to Bilene there was a part of the way that was sand and nobody had 4x4.....and if you got stuck, all do chova that is push.....

Just to be a little technical how low do you lower your tyre pressures, some guys jokingly say as low as you can without the tyre coming off the rim, but that seems a bit precarious.
