@@itsdoubleoseven I am buying it with a 32gigs of ram, as 16gigs is pretty low for now (not for gaming only, but for video editing and blender), so go ahead and buy some RAM but make sure to install it properly, because if the motherboard gets damaged while you are installing something then it voids your warranty
Actually if you are doing only websurfing, netflix, youtbe etc. You can keep it on the SILENT profile and benefit of silent-fans. My advice, use the PERFORMANCE only when gaming. No need to throttle the fans for other stuff.
Pretty sure most usage of a laptop ends to be instagram,youtube,netflix and browsing. I got this laptop even though 8h I work on it, 2-4h I browse and stuff. And only the remaining time I actually hardcore game. So for me, is doesn't make sense to not mainly use SILENT profile. + you have hotkeys and shortcuts to fast switch between profiles.
@@Catcheee same reason why I keep my phone 90% of the time in BattertSaving mode. Because the performance (even limited) is more than I ever need.. and I rarely game. So why not double the battery life up to 2-3 days of usage. It's FREE REAL ESTATE.

hey bro, I have one clarification, During Performance Mode During Gaming CPU reaching 95C and GPU 87C so is it ok to run and play games with this high temperature of CPU and GPU ? When I play games with SILENT Mode, CPU drops to 85C GPU to 70C but FPS also drops, could you please suggest me anything, thanks
1- Delete armoury crate, install G helper. 2- Undervolt the Cpu to 70-80wat on perf mode 3 - overclock a litle bit Gpu. Test Temp in game. Stable it arround 75 celsius to be safe. 4 - Undervolt to minimum watt the silence mode for multimedia, graphic watt too.
nice video man.. but if it's set to automatic for the Nvidia settings.. it will switch to nvidia gpu when you only open a game because you wont be needing it when not gaming but you must set it in the 3D settings to High-Performance Nvidia GPU... also so you don't have to go there every time when you are on battery because it will drain battery... so just let it switch automaticly when needed
Hi Ahmed, thanks for your valuable comment. Yes, you are right these settings can drain battery. But I believe usually we do not play games only with battery. The settings that I shared good to be used only when the power cable is on. Because during cooldown period of some games Nvidia GPU automatically stops working and the PC starts to use Intel one.
If you want maximum réactivity i recommand yout to set processor affinity on performance core only. You can check who's p core or e core with lasso for exemple. I noticed a very high réactivity increase. Like that, e core will serve for the other tasks
The laptop is very silent even overcloked on manuel mode. But yes you can still play on silent. But you will notice some latency increase and data speed reduce
Can you give ne recommendation ? Which one is the best price to overall aspect. 1. Rog g16 614jv ( which is the same you use ) 2. Asus a15 fa507xi ( cheaper and 4070 but with 7940hs ) I kinda want the 4070 but i kinda concern with the temp or other aspect. How is your g16 temp when gaming ?

I didn't upgrade the storage yet. There are 2 SSD slots. Maybe in the future, for now it's enough for me. SSD with heatsink I am not sure tbh as it needs more space because of the size.
Games are great in laptops screen when as soon as I connect to external monitor games are trash and the monitors I connected are all quality gaming monitors
If you have a 2024 version of this laptop with the 14th gen, use your Armoury Crate to keep your profile in SILENT mode. If you use Perforance, Turbo or Manual, your laptop is gonna crash a LOT. You can thank Intel for creating a defective cpu, forcing you to either stay in silent mode or risk destroying your CPU.
@@GamingPlayer1783 the laptops have the i9-14900HX, where intel and ASUS refuse to acknowledge are affected when they indeed are. They'll remain unstable unless they're undervolted by at least -80
YES!!!!! Well, not the cable, but the internal silicone chips and capacitors can deform if they reach over 100 celcius. Also, turn charging cable to face USB ports to keep the vent clear (is a bit of a design oversight I think) EDIT: Please read my comment to @imteddylynn

yeah it is for sure, just buy with nvidia rtx 4070, 4080 or 4090. Dont choose rtx 4050 or 4060 they are not future proof. I just bought a G16 with rtx 4050 and i get 160 fps on all steam games and league of legends and valorant, but give it 3 or 4 years and that fps will be around 90. So if you want futureproof computer buy with a i7 intel and nvidia rtx 4070-4090 and you will be very happy

When the laptop is shut down and you don't need to charge your battery. Don't leave the charge cable plugged in. This will help a lot. I don't have any issues and battery health is really good.
I found the issue it was fast boot disabled it and now it's holding power!! :) only issue left it's stuttering games like warezone 3 130fps + then dips to 40 or 50 at times tried absolutely everything and nothing works :(

The first thing I wanted to do was to check the bluetooth file transfer speed. So i chose one of my saucy selfie videos in Samsung Gallery and selected share via Bluetooth. It discovered the laptop and i clicked send. Then it failed. Later i discovered that Windows bluetooth needs to be set to “Receive Mode.” Bro, what the hell? Is there a simpler way to send files from an Android phone to this G16, without clicking “set to receive”? Why does Windows have to be so yukkky? I went on Intel’s site and downloaded the latest bluetooth driver for the Intel AX Wifi6E card. The BT file transfer speed improved but was nothing as Wifi 5 GHz file transfer speed between several devices.

Thanks for your question. Regarding your comment it seems quite dangerous from here. I advice you to contact Asus before your laptop start burning. This is not normal. I don't have such issues. You sure you have G16?
@@itsdoubleoseven yes bro I have ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 16 G634JZ-NM057WS, this is my model, only during playing games the GPU is between 85C-87C and CPU is 90C-95C, during idle or normal use CPU is between 60C-75C and I will be using Integrated Graphics so Nvidia RTX 4080 is in power saving mode.
For some reason the last one isn't appearing to me anymore!! , it used to be there now I can't find it I only have three options (adjust image setting with preview,manage 3D settings , configure surround, physx) why?
but doing so reduces battery longevity, I would recommed using standard or optimised mode on Armory crate as it switches btw gpus when needed and i experienced no delays what so ever
Eco Mode sounds like a light mode for when you do Office work and watching RUclips. But i think it comes with some annoyance like the screen switching off early and laptop going to sleep mode. I need to do some battery test actually. The Core i7 13650HX has 6 E-cores (eco) and 8 P-cores (perf). Allegedly Intel’s answer to Apple’s M1 which destroys its 12th Gen CPU in performance per unit of power. The M1 is so efficient on battery. It still delivers on battery while Intel does not. MaxTech has benchmarks on his channel.
Damn bro... I'm so sorry bout that.... That sucks... I hope it's not dead... If you managed to get it running again, here's some solid advice, that I'm writing JUST for you, cuz the G16 is one of the best mid-range (but plays-as -a-high-end-laptop out there when configured right, and it's my very first gaming laptop (used to build PC's) but gaming laptops have come a far way since the 90s). Please never listen to videos telling you to "make your laptop faster, but keep it quiet", it's the ANTITHESIS of actual comoputer knowledge. ESPECIALLY on laptops, high fan speeds are essential. This video is basically telling everyone how to "trick" their laptop into remaning in quiet mode (no fan use) whilst running it on max performance... This WILL cause components to melt after extended use. Hell, even 2or 3 hours. I'm busy playing ARK on EPIC settings, maxed everything, 1920x1200 at 165hz with 90+ fps for a solid 24 hours straight... I kinda got lost in the dino catching and taming... O_o. I'm not even joking... I haven't slept at all in 2 days.... (My fps never drops below 80fps on anything on the highest possible settings in-game.) and my temps never rise above: CPU 90°C, and GPU 85°C. LOUD FANS ON LAPTOPS ARE GOOD! It means yous components arre cooling off and getting rid of intenal heat before stuff can melt. I bought mine about a year ago, and doing manual settings now to test. So far, best performance, and cooling (though loud AF), is to use manual mode and crank your fans % to match CPU temp. Below 55°C, whatever, just don't put the fans OFF. The 60 - 90°C range is the hot area that yo wana start shedding heat away as much as possible to stop it accumilating. put the little squares on te lines to match 1%-1°C from 60°C to 90°C, and 95% at 100°C (this ensures the laptop almost never get's to 95 °C) At 100°C, CPU fries. It's not recommended for CPU to run at 95°C+ for extended periods. This will also ensure that if you play less demanding titles, and your lappy isn't being pushed, the fans won't be going overdrive like in "Turbo" mode) Next, crank your GPU Base Clock offsets about 50%, (mine is 100 MHz/200Mhz) memory clock offset 85% (mine is 250MHz/300MHz), and leave dynamic boost alone. (mine sayss 25/25W) (never max out any of those. It's unneccesary with essentially diminishing returns cuz you're only got a 280W power brick. and it may cause kaka) Like is said, FANS ARE GOOD! On the GPU Page, put the square thingies as follows: 65% at 60 °C, 80% at 70°C, 85% at 80°C, and 90%at 90°C. Similar to CPU, except, GPU shouldn't reach the same temps as CPU. Next, limit GPU thermal target to 85°C (this will force it to underclock when needed to keep it cool, but not enough to mess up peformance by any means) The above wil make your happy lappy a noisy doggo, and I recommend a separate keyboard cuz my fingers are on fire. If you don't like this, PLEASE STICK WITH THE SETTINGS AND DON'T "TRICK" YOUR LAPTOP INTO MELTING ITSELF! Stick with performance mode that's built in, and if you wana feel cool, and like you're "DOING IT!", USE "Turbo" mode (I say "Turbo" because yea, your CPU and GPU get a SLIGHT boost, but they also run at MAX temps (CPU at 95°C, GPU at 90°C). NEVER compromise thermals for convenience. You're only gonna melt your lappy components and burn them out. I hope you got your lappy fixed, read this cmment, and are able to fly through NMS at a smooth 120fps MAXed. I hope you also find this comment useful,. Also, @itsdoubleoseven, PLEASE don't run the GPU and game in silent mode. The fan's are NOT set to accommodate for it... Your laptop will die very quick EDIT: Your charging port may have melted internally cuz your GPU is near the charging port, and if you followed this videos' advice, the heat got to much cuz your GPU fans weren't operating the way they SHOULD be when you're running a GPU. Second Edit: Also, this is plugged in. Also, set GPU Ultimate mode in Armory Crate. And also set NVIDEA control panel to GPU at Native res. DON'T use supersampling unles you enjoy frame drops and fps spikes. Also, don't even mess around with gaming on battery. You'll bork your battery real fast Final edit: Full laptop specs for comparison: Asus Rog Strix G16 G614JV 2023 model 512GB 1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus 970 2x16gb DDR3 at 4800MHz Intel i7 13650HX Nvidea RTX 4060 That is all. I have the same device but when I play games, the game keeps stuck , maybe it's a setting issue.
Make sure you do the same settings that explain on silent mode vs turbo mode video please.

It's 500 nits and it comes with Nebula display QHD 240hz. Soon I will upload one video testing the brightness quality outside as well. Stay tune ;)

Well I have this laptop and if your keyboard is 4 zone rgb then you cant do the rgb per key effects, you can check that on the aura sync menu

@@itsdoubleoseven yes bro I have ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 16 G634JZ-NM057WS, this is my model, only during playing games the GPU is between 85C-87C and CPU is 90C-95C, during idle or normal use CPU is between 60C-75C and I will be using Integrated Graphics so Nvidia RTX 4080 is in power saving mode.

For some reason the last one isn't appearing to me anymore!! , it used to be there now I can't find it I only have three options (adjust image setting with preview,manage 3D settings , configure surround, physx) why?
Same here I am also not finding the option.
They don't appear when on automatic select or optimus. You have to apply Nvidia GPU Only and they will appear.

but doing so reduces battery longevity, I would recommed using standard or optimised mode on Armory crate as it switches btw gpus when needed and i experienced no delays what so ever
If it's with battery mode only yes I agree with you. But usually players don't risk their games and they use power on mode.

Eco Mode sounds like a light mode for when you do Office work and watching RUclips. But i think it comes with some annoyance like the screen switching off early and laptop going to sleep mode.
I need to do some battery test actually. The Core i7 13650HX has 6 E-cores (eco) and 8 P-cores (perf). Allegedly Intel’s answer to Apple’s M1 which destroys its 12th Gen CPU in performance per unit of power. The M1 is so efficient on battery. It still delivers on battery while Intel does not. MaxTech has benchmarks on his channel.

If you managed to get it running again, here's some solid advice, that I'm writing JUST for you, cuz the G16 is one of the best mid-range (but plays-as -a-high-end-laptop out there when configured right, and it's my very first gaming laptop (used to build PC's) but gaming laptops have come a far way since the 90s).
Please never listen to videos telling you to "make your laptop faster, but keep it quiet", it's the ANTITHESIS of actual comoputer knowledge. ESPECIALLY on laptops, high fan speeds are essential. This video is basically telling everyone how to "trick" their laptop into remaning in quiet mode (no fan use) whilst running it on max performance... This WILL cause components to melt after extended use. Hell, even 2or 3 hours.
I'm busy playing ARK on EPIC settings, maxed everything, 1920x1200 at 165hz with 90+ fps for a solid 24 hours straight... I kinda got lost in the dino catching and taming... O_o. I'm not even joking... I haven't slept at all in 2 days.... (My fps never drops below 80fps on anything on the highest possible settings in-game.) and my temps never rise above: CPU 90°C, and GPU 85°C.
LOUD FANS ON LAPTOPS ARE GOOD! It means yous components arre cooling off and getting rid of intenal heat before stuff can melt. I bought mine about a year ago, and doing manual settings now to test.
So far, best performance, and cooling (though loud AF), is to use manual mode and crank your fans % to match CPU temp.
Below 55°C, whatever, just don't put the fans OFF.
The 60 - 90°C range is the hot area that yo wana start shedding heat away as much as possible to stop it accumilating.
put the little squares on te lines to match 1%-1°C from 60°C to 90°C, and 95% at 100°C (this ensures the laptop almost never get's to 95 °C)
At 100°C, CPU fries. It's not recommended for CPU to run at 95°C+ for extended periods.
This will also ensure that if you play less demanding titles, and your lappy isn't being pushed, the fans won't be going overdrive like in "Turbo" mode)
Next, crank your GPU Base Clock offsets about 50%, (mine is 100 MHz/200Mhz) memory clock offset 85% (mine is 250MHz/300MHz), and leave dynamic boost alone. (mine sayss 25/25W)
(never max out any of those. It's unneccesary with essentially diminishing returns cuz you're only got a 280W power brick. and it may cause kaka)
Like is said, FANS ARE GOOD!
On the GPU Page, put the square thingies as follows:
65% at 60 °C,
80% at 70°C,
85% at 80°C,
and 90%at 90°C.
Similar to CPU, except, GPU shouldn't reach the same temps as CPU.
Next, limit GPU thermal target to 85°C (this will force it to underclock when needed to keep it cool, but not enough to mess up peformance by any means)
The above wil make your happy lappy a noisy doggo, and I recommend a separate keyboard cuz my fingers are on fire. If you don't like this, PLEASE STICK WITH THE SETTINGS AND DON'T "TRICK" YOUR LAPTOP INTO MELTING ITSELF!
Stick with performance mode that's built in, and if you wana feel cool, and like you're "DOING IT!", USE "Turbo" mode (I say "Turbo" because yea, your CPU and GPU get a SLIGHT boost, but they also run at MAX temps (CPU at 95°C, GPU at 90°C).
NEVER compromise thermals for convenience. You're only gonna melt your lappy components and burn them out.
I hope you got your lappy fixed, read this cmment, and are able to fly through NMS at a smooth 120fps MAXed. I hope you also find this comment useful,.
Also, @itsdoubleoseven, PLEASE don't run the GPU and game in silent mode. The fan's are NOT set to accommodate for it... Your laptop will die very quick
EDIT: Your charging port may have melted internally cuz your GPU is near the charging port, and if you followed this videos' advice, the heat got to much cuz your GPU fans weren't operating the way they SHOULD be when you're running a GPU.
Second Edit: Also, this is plugged in. Also, set GPU Ultimate mode in Armory Crate. And also set NVIDEA control panel to GPU at Native res. DON'T use supersampling unles you enjoy frame drops and fps spikes. Also, don't even mess around with gaming on battery. You'll bork your battery real fast
