Its called the Bwlch y Groes mountain climb goes over to Bala im sure triumph and Austin tested their performance cars on the pass great content as usual. Im from South Wales and often we drive the Abergwesyn pass over Devils staircase then ride around lynn Brianne great route.
Thankyou buddy and yes I read Triumph tested their cars on there uphill. Will have to ride more of wales as done a few you have a beautiful country. Not sure I have done the devils staircase. Thanks for comment very much appreciated 👍🏻👍🏻
Now try that route in the dark, before the barriers were installed, in heavy snow, in an old Landrover. We were coming over the pass in the opposite direction. Didn't quite make the top and had to try and turn round and head back to Dinas then detour through Dolgellau and back to Bala. We were late!
@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE .... I did have a video but its on a dead laptop. Serious arse twitching moment as the Landy was sliding towards the drop but we (No1 Son and I) managed to turn it around in a small lay by near the top
Cheers buddy the bridge i think you referring to is the dam at lake vrnwy it’s a cracking place. We didnt do the full route but the ride around is epic 👍🏻👍🏻
@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE Me too, I'll keep an eye out for you 👍👍, I remember passing your GS's and thinking how they were the perfect bikes for that road, and the rest of the route from Lake Vyrnwy.
I've only ever been to Flintshire in North Wales before Jay & was twice a month & pretty much 480 miles,8-12 hours driving (depending on the M6 & M56 traffic)& in my 3.5T van & all in a days work! 🤬🤣👍 Maybe 2025 will be the year I return on 2 wheels! 😎✌️
Mate I don’t sorry i just followed @thepeakybiker. All i can remember is the lake vrnwy damn at the end as if you were going to the cafe you turn right up about a mile and left. Sorry buddy 👍🏻👍🏻
Hellfire pass, Horseshoe Pass, Fairy Glen, Snowdon, Brecon Beacons- why can you English not use their real name? It is so offensive to a Welshman......How would you respond if we renamed all of Englands Towns?
How do you know I’m an Englishman also your response is offensive so let’s not be hypocritical here. Not pronouncing names of areas in different countries is naivety if someone told me the correct pronunciation then i would use it. Have some respect here
@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE - I hear you speaking - with a regional English accent.....bit of a give away. Your response could have gone one of two way - fair point, I will try to use the correct place names in future - or secondly - I am more offended than you for pointing out my failings. Then you ask for respect after showing none whatsoever for the Welsh language - I wouldn't have minded if you called it "Pass of the Cross" which is at least the proper translation - but Hellfire Pass....!!!!??
@trevormj it is known as hellfire from when triumph used to carryout hill climbs in the testing of their cars and my mate said ot was called that so unsure where this is going. The fact that i speak with an english accent doesnt makes my heritage english. Anyway you have made your point and i have made mine. Thanks for comment very much appreciated 👍🏻👍🏻
Enjoyed that CL,we've got some stunning scenery in this country, never mind abroad 😉

Back in the 80’s we used to ride up Hay Bluff in the snow , “park” the bikes in the snow drifts :-) lovely in the summer too :-)
Wow I bet that was challenging but looked awesome 👍🏻👍🏻
How spooky, I was riding the white GS that passes at 4:33, it certainly was a cracking route, not been down there previously either.
Ah thats amazing wish we had chatted 👍🏻👍🏻

Yes we did mate i travelled nearly 3 hrs each way then out for about 4 hrs. More to explore too. 👍🏻👍🏻

Put that above into Google maps.
It's easy to find. The road north of Lake V. that takes you towards Bala.
@stephenwilliams1824 I haven't. I just found it by following the roads above lake V, on Google maps.
I rode it once. Well worth a visit.
It works when I try it.
Jay have you seen the rttw . Could be something for you to do next year . Massive event pal
Yes pal couple of mates do it 👍🏻👍🏻
Lovely video pal ☺️
Thanks buddy 👍🏻👍🏻
