Well done! And yes, pink indeed the natural choice for a good custom mod to boot. Side note: When the pink LEDs first came out I did try to use them for my first Cream Puffs, but those first generations pinks used an organic phosphor layer over a UV die and the brilliant pink color faded quickly to a dull white in a matter of hours.
I remember my first electronic repair project... my kids had a toy that had suffered a corroded battery, I was able to bypass the built in battery and use an off the shelf AA battery pack, giving the toy a second chance at life (which served not only my own child but was also passed on to another family a couple of years later!). I think that as well as the empowerment that comes with repairing your stuff, it also means one less piece of trash in landfill - kids should be taught how to repair and reuse electronics in school!
Cool, but it is huge. You could have done the same thing on an Aluminum C Channel you slipped between your two 3U rows. Using the EcpertSleepers LED jacks would have been the bomb.
I have two Reverse Avalanche VCOs that are burning the LEDs like there is no tomorrow; I am wondering why, because LMNC with his 1000 MegaDrone does not have this issues.

thank you Fran! 😺
Awesome fix. I really like the color too. Swapping the other red led sounds like a nice idea.
thanks!
