Just don’t understand how they can just discard these beautiful horses into the slaughter pipeline, money or no money 😢but they are safe thanks to you ❤
your efforts to rescue these horses are heroic. thank you for all you do. all those amish and others who dump these horses at slaughter should be ashamed and be stopped from doing so.
They are All stunningly Beautiful horses!! Thank you so much for helping them! I did hear the Economy has been so bad for so long now that people are sending their horses off to auctions and slaughter pipelines because they need the few dollars and I think that is so Horrible that people have had to make this choice!!! Thank the Lord you could step in with help to Save these horses from being shot and processed! It turns my stomach to say it and think it. Luckily these horses are Safe with you!
Yes money is tight all around the world as we emerge from the disruptions of Covid. But it’s a comfort that the US is coming out of it more smoothly than other. countries.
Wow the new horses are all so beautiful! I am so glad they were rescued. That little donkey 😭 She looked so lost! I am so glad you took her with you. She is one lucky girl! I am very much looking forward to see more of all the horses 😊 And I am very glad everyone was safe during the storm!
Sadly, the throwing away of these beautiful animals is endless. When people treat them like machinery and they no longer can operate as such they are just cast aside. It is heartbreaking and so unbelievable. Thank you to Fletcher Farms for giving these horses a second chance at life and a place where they can live out the rest of their lives no matter how long or short that may be. I know it can't be easy.
Thank you so much for rescuing these lovely gentle giants, they are such wonderful creatures. The horse you are about to rescue appears to be a huge even by Belgian standards. Very Best of Luck with all of them and the little donkey is the sweetest 🐴🐎🐴🐎🐴
Hi Julie. How are you? You are always busy with the rescue of these beautiful, gentle hearted creatures. What l don't understand is how certain people can be so cruel and heartless. They consider these creatures useless and ship them to slaughter. These draft horses have the right to live a peaceful, happy life full of love, care and affection. All my love❤
I was afraid to post the same questions because I don’t want to sound critical or judgmental. But I sometimes wonder how many more they will adopt, and who would take over if God forbid anything happened to Julie or Corey? Please don’t hate me, I am only curious about the future care of the horses. I do so appreciate all the work, vet care and general love they are giving these beautiful creatures who now get to live without hard work or mistreatment.
The Amish need to be held accountable somehow. Not only do they use these horses until they're on "empty", they SELL them for whatever they can get. I wish they just give them to a sanctuary and skip the auction.
I find these constant comments about these all being Amish bred horses offensive. These horses are in pretty decent shape, the Amish would out right sell them not dump them in slaughter. Horses dumped for slaughter are sold by the pound, I don't know how much per pound they are getting because the price varies. The Amish don't drive, so do they tie these horses to their buggy and bring them in? It would not be worth the $. Even if someone went to their farm and picked them up, they aren't going to make any money. There are horse dealers who scour the internet, pick them up for cheap, hold them until they have a full load, then bring them to auction. I know people who do this for a living, the horses weren't from the Amish. The Amish aren't going to dump good horses like thus. These auction houses are just playing on these rescues emotions. A lot of these horses would be sold outright not shipped to slaughter, I don't buy it, not one bit.
@@user-vy8ff2ni2sI'll agree this group looked good. That last gelding, I'm willing to bet he's from the Amish. His back L leg has an issue. I'm glad you don't believe about the Amish. You must sleep well. Those of us that know & 👀 all The Standarbreds & drafts that are dumped in Auctions by the Amish want stricter laws so we too can sleep‼️✌️🇨🇱🇺🇸🙏🐴
Thank you for all you do to rescue all these beautiful Belgians. and donkey! The Belgians all look in pretty good shape. Sad they took baby off the mare. Hope the cut on the one horse isn't to bad. You are a true God send Julie, along with Corey and all your helpers.
There are storm streams running right up to the barn and house, but Julie has us look up at how beautiful the sky is! It’s just like the old broken drafts…she sees beauty in each one and brings them through their hellish storm to peaceful skies. That’s why we all pitch in to help in our own way.
Wish i could get updates on all the horses you rescue miss that so much used to watch all the time cant aford to donate monthly 😢 . But just want to say thank you for saving them❤❤
I'm still in awe of how obedient and calm those big horses. They can kill a human with one kick but still following that little creature they see first time in their lives to wherever they lead.
i have only just started watching you on RUclips this week, you are doing an amazing thing by saving these beautiful horses, i have never seen such massive horses before, what a wonderful thing you are all doing, ☺☺❣
Amazing rescues as always, the weather looks atrocious out there. It must be quite a trial trying to work in all that water. Look forward to seeing another update, I’ve lost count of how many horses you have rescued so far! Incredible work and thank goodness you and all your supporters are there to give these magnificent equines a loving end to their lives!
Happy to hear you are expanding the barn. A number of small three sided shelters (several so a few horses cannot take over them) around the pasture to protect from sun, wind, rain etc. would be a very good addition too.
It feels so good to know that these rescued equines are blessed to be heading to Fletcher Farm to live out their days with love and care. Thank you to all who play their part ❤
OMG Julie I've been watching for the past few years. How many horses do you have now ? This is amazing what you have been able to do. Can't imagine the vet and feed bill . I have one horse and make it by the skin of my teeth every month. Always wondered how many acres you have. It looks vast. Anyway thank you for what you do for so many. We all know who are responsible horse owners that they can end up in horrible places. It's what keeps me up at night if something would happen to me, and what might happen to my girl. Thanks again for the update.
"You have an absolute mess in your hair, I don't know what's going on with that!" Thank you, it's been a rough day and you made me laugh. Wonderful job, as always. Blessings and hugs from Florida.❤
All Belgians, and Donkeys are so fortunate to be rescued by you. 👍 How sad😨that Flower’s colt was separated from her. Maybe if all animals were defined as sentient beings instead of property, which is their current legal definition, more people would treat them better.
Thank you Julie for the video , I just opened my phone and your video was at the top of the list. And coincidentally, I’d just gone over our visa/paypal bill and saw our donation to you guys 2 weeks ago. Fun to see the results of your fund raising. Those horses are going to be so glad to be at a nice retirement ranch. What handsome horses.
That little donkey had the most forlorn look. My heart aches for her and all the horses/animals there. I cry every time I see these horses, though the yards look relatively good compared to some I have seen. I can't imagine what must be going through these poor animals minds. They've faithfully served people to be thrown away. I wish the horses from that one farm would just be sent to you instead of the trauma of the auction barns. I just can't imagine. They don't understand. Wondering if they hold any hope, are terrified, have just given up. The ones that come to you are so blessed. Hard enough the older horses are there, but seeing the younger ones breaks my heart even more so. They haven't even had a chance. Why do these people breed animals they don't intend to keep? I will never understand.....So very very thankful for people like you with kind, loving hearts.

The upside of that rain is the grass might turn green. Right now it just looks like they're picking hay off the ground, it's so brown.
