Unstoppable Murray Cod Fishing With Holly

- Holly and I were fishing for yellowbelly, carp, redfin or anything else BUT Murray cod. We were not using known Murray cod baits such as cheese, chicken, Bardi grubs or yabbies.
Using Jan Juc Fishing Worms on both rods we just could not keep the Murray cod off our lines! They were unstoppable!

Hi mate, Murray cod season closes on the 1st September. NSW and Victoria have the same dates for cod season. 👍

That last Murray cod was huge
Thanks Catherine. It was a nice fish, but considering how big they get this was quite small, probably just reaching sexual maturity. On average they can start to spawn from around 50cm.

Hey Robbie i know im late to comment but i thought the closed season was setp 1st to nov 30th? Just asking because im going fishing for them this weekend?
Hi mate, that is correct. Cod closed season is all of spring. 1st September until midnight 31st November.
