- We went fishing at Lake Eildon last week. When I say we, it was the whole family that went but I was the only one that went fishing. The fishing was quite good too, better than I expected for this time of the year.

I arrived at Eildon Yesterday, been fishing the Golburn today downstream from the pondage. Caught some awesome, good sized trout today 😀.

I stuck a camera in a trout stream a couple of weeks ago and thought I had spooked a fish by bumping it with the camera. When I watched the footage, it was actually the trout swimming up to the camera and giving it a good head whack before moving past and slapping it with the tail. Not spooked, attacked.

Glad to see the fish are biting again , gives me hope for tomorrow night . Every Tuesday I go fishing for mud marlin and the last 3 weeks havnt even had a bite 🤷♂️

Autumn is nice for a bit of fresh air, not as hot and full of pollen like spring. The last carp had a fair bit of size to him and the lake was looking good for lures, fire up the old kayak maybe!

Hey Robbie have you had any luck at Rocklands Res, I was there last week for 4 days beautiful weather. Tried everything trawling from boat, bait fishing flicking lurers from boat bank fishing with worms, power bait. cheese etc and absolutely zero.

Hi mate, I have caught heaps of both. A silver callop is the same as a normal one. They just get their silver colours from dirty water.

To be honest I don't think so. I choose them based on size. On lures they might be but I can't see any advantage when bait fishing.
