As a woman and a part of the body of Christ, I absolutely do not wear crop tops. However, I want to say, if you are a Christian woman and have worn crop tops, take this with the Holy Spirit and ask him to correct your heart posture in this area if needed. Our walk with the Lord is so personal and intimate only He can lead you per his perfect will.

Thank you Ross. My husband is 67 and feels so bad for the guys at church and the short skirts and less modest fashion that so many girls are led too. He doesn't know how the young men can keep from being distracted.

Back in 2004 when I went from religion to relationship after having a true encounter with Jesus and being filled with the Holy Spirit, God spoke to me about modesty as I was packing my bikinis for a trip to Mexico. I didn’t even have a one piece at this point. It was so loud in my head that I’ve never worn a bikini since. He said, “I want you to turn hearts, not heads.” It was loving and not condemning, but boy was it convicting. He’s such a good, good, Father! ♥️

Yep. You got it! I see christians commenting saying they wear crop tops and mini skirts and they think it's fine. It's not fine. We are called to not be a stumbling block to ANYONE and that's what they are doing. Glad someone said it! I love how I dress and that's being 80% covered at all times. I wear modest longer shorts in summer but other than that I'm always mainly covered and I am bringing up my daughter the same way. When I'm swimming I make sure to wear shorts over my one piece! You can wear a baggy shirt that covers your behind with leggings or yes tie a flannel or something around your waist.

I find the best question is always “Who is this serving?” Is it serving me, and a need for attention, or is it serving God. If something hinders worship in any way, NAHHHH it’s out.

I've seen both sides of this. Talking to other girls in youth group growing up a lot of them were sexually assaulted or had father wounds. Especially as a woman and having that father void this is one of the things I used to struggle with. I can say Jesus has helped me to not wear crop tops or leggings anymore. Any time a relative has worn something revealing they always get harassed and it's just unsafe to dress like that too.

Love the point about what is being worn is the expression of what is going on in one’s heart. I find that the closer I get to the Lord, the greater my desire becomes to dress modestly. Also same page with Hannah, good on you for speaking out on this, Ross 😊

This!!! I don’t understand how some women can just blame the men and use that verse that if your right eye causes you to sin gauge it out. like how is that having the heart of God?! if you see someone struggling you should have compassion for them and want to cover up and not make anyone stumble.

I 100% agree with you! I used to wear a bikini but Holy Spirit has convicted me of this. I now wear a one piece to the pool that covers everything. I also agree that just because there’s a location change there shouldn’t be less clothing. Also, since I’ve come to Christ I’ve noticed my wardrobe getting more and more modest. I find it difficult actually to find women’s tops that aren’t too revealing and if they are low cut I wear a shirt underneath.

After so much rebukes over time at church by my pastors, to a point when once I wasn't even allowed to serve that night * now my entire wardrobe is modest except for a couple clothes that I've kept for my future dates! When we went to the beach with both guys and girls I didn't wear bikinis either! I don't feel that comfortable wearing them anyways! I don't have any crop top at all!
I told my grand daughter to keep her treasure in her treasure box, locked up until her husband unlocks it.
Suggestion on what to wear then for bathing suits instead?

I personally find crop tops gross. But If women shouldn’t wear crop tops then mean should never go shirtless. Got to hold them to the same standard. Another thing to consider is that workers and fishermen in the Bible would wear only their underwear. So it’s not true that we dress more immodestly than they did.

I agree modesty is important but for you to start this video with "when I see women in a crop top I'm not interested in perusing a relationship with her'. Ross, that is the worst argument ever. Could be no one cares or is trying to get into a relationship with you! As if women dress just hoping Ross will want to date them. it would be much more helpful to say something like "Women do not need to lead with the least important thing about them, their bodies' or "I prefer to get to know women without the immediate distraction of seeing more of their body than is comfortable for me". If you said, 'When i see a woman with a blue hair, I am not interested...' would that be a persuasive argument for not having blue hair?

I think everyone's body is precious because our body was created by God.every woman's body should only be shown to her husband.This is a protection in the principles of God.If i love jesus I walk in love,if i walk in God's love.then I care if my actions tempt others to stumble and fall into sin.Most men are tempted by lust ,women wearing bikinis and sexy clothes will cause many men to fall into the temptation of lust .we must always walk in God 's love to protect ourselves and others.

Not a question about modesty still wonder how they feel about figure drawing classes ? Obviously I don't want to see everyones junk..still I love drawing the male or female figure in my sketchbook or paper or sculpting feeling sastified I made it because god helped me labor and looking at the older paintings or statue of david or the sculpt they made of Jesus based off of the shroud of christ though they did for his dignity cover his bits even if realistically he was unfortunately nude and humilated and mocked on the christ..this probably isn't what people want to hear still when I lose my weight I would love to wear a bikinni on the beach but a cute one with ruffles or a print like sone of the ones they wore in the 60s its always the fantasy for someone overweight like me to want to not all the time still someday on a beach or by her pool wear that bikinni matching sandals and sunglasses all done up feeling she did it and she is for a brief time until she is no longer glamorous and then the sun sets..

That's even worst then leggings yoga pants are all skin tight just wear a long tshirt over them. But then again it's if you feel convinced about it. Just pray about it
