Jasper Sitwell: *"That's nice... but I still have to clear this by the Director"*
Captain American: Then I hope you enjoy my colleagues visit.
Cap: "Hail Hydra."
Rumlow:"Avengers!Assemble."
This was completely believable because a Hydra agent like Captain America would be kept secret at the highest level, so all of them were just like..."oh sh!t...I didn't know Cap was one of us!" because how else could he have known about Hydra at that point?! So this scene was awesome.

Such an amazing scene. The same actors, the same positions, plus Sitwell, elevator appearance, etc. Easy to do on a movie this size.
What makes it great is the pacing is very deliberate. This is a "heist scene" and a very busy movie, so each second is precious. And the Russo Brothers take their time to build the tension before undercutting the tension.

@@cheezeboigas6605 Yeah, either he will forget because of cap using scepter on him, or he will think that loki used his weakness of bucky to trick him. Its not too difficult for loki to know about bucky. After all, cap's history with bucky is there in the museum.
The best thing about this scene is how proud cap is of himself
As soon as I heard him say that, I wanted to laugh hysterically. Probably the most controversial thing I've ever heard about Cap, and this movie took it and made it a masterfully rolled Deception check.
I really appreciate how the extras show their surprise differently. Like the guy nearest the window at first just keeps his eyes front, but once Cap whispers "Hail Hydra" he's now looking over just staring. Or the guy at the very rear of the elevator spends most of the scene glaring at Cap, but after Cap whispers he visibly exhales in shock.

That smirk says it all, Steve has come a long way since being the yes man soldier he was in the first Movie.
He was never a yes man soldier. He defied orders and snuck behind enemy lines to rescue Barnes in the first avenger. Steve didn't change greatly as a character. It's the fact that he didn't change despite the world changing around him and everyone telling him he had to in the modern world. He stuck by his morals even when though they were too black and white for the modern world in the eyes of the government.
