I've had mine for about 3 weeks now and its brilliant. On Tuesday i engraved some Macarons with unicorns for the daughters birthday and she loved them. Great video too.
Had mine for a month and it’s murder on glass if it’s not perfectly flat, if, for example trying to etch square whisky glasses that are slightly concave or convex it’s hopeless
theres a lightburn setting for adjusting on axis without having the rotation device, meaning in software you can adjust for the curces of the glass. i just learned about the setting in a different vid, sorry don't recall which one but i's a searchable term!
Great review! This one does great deep engraving in wood. I use mine for leather marking and perfect leather cutting edges. But I have had some weird issues on glass. Sometimes etching on top, sometimes in the middle of the glass. It seems to jump focus and I'm not sure if it is the glass itself or just a misfocus on my part?
@@terryclair2914 I get that. Some of the glass i tested on i struggled with. I thought it was the glass I was using as it was just out of a cheap photo frame.
it's not you!!! it's just that good at being able to focus! there's a vid of a guy doing just that on purpose! it's a great effect when dialed it.channel called jt makes it. i think is what it was called.
Since they've cheated you on the specifications, ask for a refund. Just wait until the next model with real specs comes out. Otherwise you are not getting what you paid for with this machine. The resale value will be crap. And $4,000 for a laser is no joke. They're happy to rip you off and placate you at the same time. This technology is going to vastly drop in price easily within the next 18 months.

If it weren't for our bills I would go for for a fibre laser.
How large can it laser?
@paulhill1662 it's all relevant to the lens. As standard it comes with a 150mm which is a work area of about 150mm2
