This track mod is legendary. I love the current Hockenheimring, but the 2001 layout was legendary, and the last of it's type outside of maybe Monza.
1981 Hochenhiem was even better, the great ostcurve without the chicane, and the faster flowing version of the second & third corner sequence. 1981 race had a classic cosworth vs turbo battle.
Verstappen’s engine deciding *Man I don’t wanna do this no more* out of the last corner to give Seb a podium was amazing

Jokes aside, I was clenching my everything watching this race. Please, never stop doing what you're doing. This is the Formula 1 in real life that we need but don't deserve. Absolutely magnificent race and video.
Oh, I also have a tiny bit of criticism; the pit stop UI should not be shown and the camera should be more "organic". What I mean is right now the camera locks dead-onto a car unlike in reality where it tries to balance the focus on all the drivers in a scene.
That isn't really possible with assetto's camera system unless you can smooth out the FOV change in freecam
@@lewismcyds1574 I actually have seen him do it in older vids (if I'm not tripping), but he didn't do it this time, I assume because of it taking more time.

What a race in a magic track, it’s a shame that this legendary track no longer exists, what a recovery and victory from Lewis and a what comeback as well from Max starting last and fighting for the win until the last corner, I think the contact between the Ferraris was not so big so they could rejoin the race but anyway it’s added a drama, a shame with Fernando he didn’t the deserve this and he was fighting for the title but he has still an options but so so little, and this race reflects so good who is Esteban a dirty guy who he doesn’t accept to be passed by his teammates but he opens the door easily to his rivals, like in the reality the same thing.

Can you imagine a Martin Brundle and George Morgan pairing. It would be the best pair of commentators since the pairing of Murray Walker and Martin Brundle in the late 90's and early 2000's.

Yeah I use an Auto Start mod which puts my car in the pits and then I watch the AI race.

U-N-B-E-L-I-V-E-A-B-L-E finally The Hockenheimring is burning again for a fantasy comeback race Incredible Ferrari take them off from a all red front row lock out and team radio goes back to Monaco & Suzuka, 3 Germans for a might last german race in F1 world, Mercedes hits to the front Seb flying from the midfield right on to the line, Max vs Mercedes in the end Unlucky the engine cut off on the finish straight, Ocon again a fuck off driver, Hamilton steals the win from Max and it's Mercedes first 1-2 back on that track since 2016, But Hamilton team radio was Usain bolt or some Mma fighter, Seb gorgeous for the 4th home podium his radio message was the baku 21 podium celebration the fight is right on for all 3 top teams Slovakia can bring history into the fantasy world

Too bad they don't race in Germany anymore, but Hockenhiem was a great circuit. As I remember the last time they raced the long way was 2001 before the renovations, I think Ralf Schumacher won there if I'm not mistaken.
Yes that's right, Schumacher won in 2001. If you haven't seen the race the year before though, I'd reccomend to. It has almost everything, rain, a tremendous drive for the win and even a strange foreign object getting onto the circuit...

Idea for next season. You could do the driver line ups as you want not as they are in reality make it a truly fantasy season. The distance from reality is more enjoyable from my opinion. You could even do a video announcing the driver lineups
