Is this Monaco layout from Need For Speed better than the original?

  • Monaco has been featured in various video games, and it's always a joy when they take their own spin on the layout of the circuit. This layout presented is known as Riviera from Need For Speed - Shift 2: Unleashed; a high speed version of Monaco, which is a lot less technical than the original but sure is very fun to drive one.
Do you think this video game version of Monaco is better than the original layout?

I don't know how faithful it is to the geography of the place (first half is obviously identical and I like it too), but THIS Monaco is just magnificient. Perfect for today's F1 cars, and yet challenging for drivers. It reminds me of Long Beach but even better.

long beach, but with 0 heavy braking zones, every single part of the track is fast and flowing, following would be a nightmare and overtaking harder than in the monaco we have now, atleast in my opinion, where are you meant to get alongside here? and the drs zones has been made alot less useful, and im not sure drs on that back "straight" would be all that safe lol, track looks insanely fun to hotlap though, like a rollercoaster

And talking about this version of Monaco (Riviera), if they can bring the real life layout but extended, do you mind try it??? By extended i mean, instead of the La Rascasse harpin, it goes left onto a harpin and then come's to La Rascasse to finish the lap. Of course, ditching the swiming pool section witch is a pain in the ass and, it might be controversial, the nouvelle chicane and replace with a DRS section from the tunnel and the closest as a chicane it can be, that it doesn't need any braking, only full throttle on the DRS Zone until the braking zone to the swiming pool. Then the normal aproach to La Rascasse they can use it as a new entrance to the pits. Then the pit exit is a very disputable topic but i prefer it to return from the 2000s when they make a wall to divide in between the one who stays out and then who's exiting from the pits and make turn 1 a much easier turn

This confuses my brain so much like I can see the similarities and yet everything is misplaced and it throws me off

There is a better technology that was showcased by Boosted Media channel where you take actual images of the real life location and is super imposed CGI but not in true 3D, it's 2D with an optical illusion of 3D.
When you drive through the streets it looks 3D but if you slow down and stop, you can see how the backdrop layers are placed to create the illusion.
This would be the most accurate and realistic representation of an alternative Monaco GP.
This would probably be better for FormulaE to do something different and help boost the attraction of Monaco because for those of us who will never have the opportunity to visit, this would be a great virtual tour.
There are a couple of 4K tours of Monaco but mainly around the obviously places...

as a track it is better, but the real Monaco, with all of its prestige and history, can't ever really be replaced. It's up there with spa, Silverstone, Monza, and others. I'd like to keep the same track layout, but widened a little bit. We obviously can't do that, but I can still wish. What would you change with current Monaco to make it more drivable or better?

Hence you tried now the tracks from Shift 2, can you try next the fictional track, Glendale Raceway, a.k.a. "Fake Mondello (Propably)".

I recommend to try out the "East" Layout, because it was like Bahrain Outer Circuit version of Mondello Park.
