5:28 If I didn't know better, I'd say that this is not the same singer who sings 'Loneliness (winter)'. Amazing how much he has progressed in his singing.
Haven't heard these Immemorial songs before, but damn, they are just as epic as everything else Jari have created! :D Is there by any chance possible to get a hold of these songs with higher quality?
People is saying that they prefer this version over the wintersun version but this version sounds "raw"(imo), and i think wintersun version is better because its kinda serious stuff and he did it after this one putting effort on it, and everything sounds clear, i think is just the ppl getting bored of the Wintersun version(just my opinion).
@skaplis You have to take into consideration that this is a demo recording, probably done by Jari and Oliver (Fokin) on some very crappy gear at home, 15 years ago (before Jari joined Ensiferum, etc). Taking that into consideration, i'd say that the quality is absolutely stellar :)
This is pretty cool. I wasn't aware there was an earlier recorded version of this. Jari's screams are mixed a little differently. Not as good as the final version, but pretty nifty nontheless.
The tuning isnt dropped on this version... the dropped tuning makes it feel much darker, except the lower quality makes this one sound more raw like (most) black metal... And his growls are more distorted and sound more like black metal vocals.
Well, this one was interesting to find. I didn't know he had a band before Ensiferum - I must've read it somewhere though, but forgotten. Anyways rest assured people, Time 1 will be released soon ;)
same guitar line and lyrics with his present band wintersun but a little bit not refined i guess.. but this one still rocks! 2 horned hands in the air..:D
Is it just me or does he say "My eyes bleedeth for you my star". I am not sure if "bleedeth" is a word in Old English. I also am not aware if there is any lyrics posted on this song. If any of you are aware of what he really says there please reply or if you know the full lyrics of the song. PM me..Anyways thank you.
Keep in mind that he wrote song in the past mostly inspired by his personal life. And he wrote this when he was 16 years old. What a mastermind!
For a 16 year old to come up with the drums for this song especially the intro is wild to thing about.
Discovered the 5 songs he realeased with Immemorial yesterday and can't stop listening to them. I love everything this guy has done so far :)

Which one?
keep in mind that he was 16 when he recorded this version ;)
Third favorite Wintersun song, just discovered this today. Fucking beautiful.
How the song has changed . . . and how it hasn't. Honestly I like the vocals here even more, sounds closer to black metal.
Also, the lyrics of this version are different. These are more extreme
glad someone agrees with me ahahah
wintersun version, immemorial version - this song is amazing in every way to me.
all hail jari.
I don't know about you guys, but I prefer this version over the other. I do love the other one too. Damn you Jari for making this love so complicated!
Still hoping that When the rain ends will come on a Wintersun record as a Bonus track!
This is way better than the Wintersun version. I can't wait to hear Time album!!!
I like the both songs equally, but in different occasions.. I really like Jari's vocals in this song :p

Damn I really love this version (too). Sounds so... "innocent".

This song is also on Wintersun's debut album! Great song.
Love the little guitar thing at 56 - 59. :)
0 dislikes, it's normal in a video were Jari appears
I fucking love this song!
Now as good as the Wintersun version of course but, very interesting to think how this came a good 10 years earlier give or take.
Jari sounding like he just picked up his first line 6 amp bundled with free versions of cubase and ezdrummer
Knowing that he was 16 when he made this, that's probably not too far off from reality
Much thanks. I will certainly not make that mistake again.
damm this is epic af

WOAAA!!!! THIS IS SO GREAT!!! NEVER HERD THIS VERSION!! IT MADE ME CRY !!!!!!! :)
Yo what's up with the sweeps at 1:21?
This one is much better than wintersun's version
yeah Wintersun Remade this
Dat drum machine tho
they are musicians, not computer nerds.
very very interesting
Blacker than Wintersun, I like the two versions of that song (epic and black metal) !
7:42 lol almost thought he did a pig squeal for a sec.

And now the first part is out and it's fucking amazing! :)
@ChristForeverDie i totally agree with you man he is just human, patience is a virtue, what it seems that the human being lacks nowadays :(
is Wintersun's TIME out yet? cant wait!!
One more week and "Time" is finally complete :)
Sweet!

... and now we have Time II... 😄
... last post was almost a year ago , they don't update they're website
@ChristForeverDie Agree'd. Hail Jari with all respect.
same guitar line and lyrics with his present band wintersun but a little bit not refined i guess.. but this one still rocks! 2 horned hands in the air..:D
@StephenGraystoneU87 nah, jari wrote this song for this band and published it as wintersun.
This must be the old version of Sadness and Hate from 1996.

sounds great, but i prefer the wintersun version, especially the vocals...
Hail Jari!!!
@blackkrane0622 he used a midi drum machine
This was before Ensiferum , right?
yeah
Is there a way to get the Immemorial stuff in decent quality? I'd kill to get an Immemorial album ;)
Unfortunately it's only a demo and no official version has ever been released.
hey does anyone know if this version is in Standard E tuning and that the version that was redone on the wintersun album in D tuning?
I dont think Kai did this... i think it was before Kai, cause this was a split CD with Ensiferum... I could be wrong...
I thought it was delayed due to computer errors.
I think Jari would count for more that just 1 god...
Sadness and Hate 16-bit version
these drums are made by jari with a drum machine
9:21 holy s....
this is a drum machine.
Jari can't rape. Jari is love. Jari is life.
The raw guitar sound makes this even more epic than the Wintersun version, but the vocals aren't that great...
no not for awhile it keeps getting pushed back farther and farther
Actually I prefer the Wintersun one for the clean vocals part, they aren't so great in this one, Jari really improved on clean vocals.
on 3:37 transition doesn't sound good.
Wintersun's version the best!
it's not a rape if he wants it.
good version, but something missing... a fucking scream at 6:49!!!

Kai's work on drums is much better than this. It has better technique and feeling IMO
honestly the only excuse to not have it done by now, even with the delays, is just laziness
This must be the old version of Sadness and Hate from 1996.
