When I searched, "how not to need a mailing address," you video came up. Tfs!

What's the best way to reduce any mail as much as possible? As in no paper, junk, ads, other people's miss delivered mail, inquiries if your property is for sale, like I don't want any physical mail to deal with. And on top of that if something is absolutely needed to be sent to me, I would just have my last know address as a best friend. Any tips, techniques. Is it illegal to have no mailing address as per the US post office or federal government? Say someone is houseless, traveling and the only thing they need is to renew Or pay very few things that can be done online. Do you see the "new" thing being that your address can be just only your email address? There are all kinds of people 24 x7 x 365 mobile living.

I've worked at a few nonprofits and this is what donors did, so I do this now: I use a physical Po box as my legal mailing address (California allows this); I ensure to ask all businesses NOT to send me any physical mail and NOT to share/rent/trade/sell my address/info with anyone, ever. Good luck! I'm now researching virtual Po box, this why I'm here lol.

Can I just have it forward to my address? I just need to have a mailing address, but I don't necessarily need them to open my mail. And it's very little mail at that. The UPS box was ok but going there to get my stuff is getting old.

    Hi Dave,
My local Clerk office requires a business to be filed under a physical address. If I were to choose a virtual office wouldn't that force me to have to switch the county from which I "Do business in" to wherever the virtual office is located? Or am I overthinking it..

I don't think it should, but check with an expert (lawyer).
Where I live it's very common to have a mailing address and a registered address for a business and have those be two separate things.

Hi Dave. Was just about to hop on this and then searched BBB myself to find that the rating is much different than in your video. 2.3 stars!
Do you happen to know if they've changed hands or somethings? Because that's a major dropoff that must've happened since making this video. Thanks!

That's weird. I'm still happily using Traveling Mailbox. My yearly renewal just went through a couple days ago actually. It's been great for me and I continue to recommend it.

Are you still using it and is it still as good as it was in this video? I’m thinking about getting it but see there are mixed reviews

I am using it without issue.
Make sure you understand that you don’t want packages going to this address or it will cost you! If you just get letters, everything is great.

Hi Dave, this is a very helpful video. Do you have any experience or knowledge of how capable Traveling Mailbox is for sending a medium sized package internationally?
For example, if my friend is in South America, and needs a replacement computer sent from her company (with their software pre-installed), can they safely and reasonably economically receive the delivery for her in the U.S., and then package it up for international delivery?
    Thanks for sharing your knowledge,
    Delfino

I have had them send me packages, but not internationally. It worked great. You get a separate address for packages so make sure you use that to keep costs down.

@@dave-swift Thanks for the tip. Is there a specific tier to pick a plan with a separate address for packages?
      Thanks again,
      Delfino

nope, it’s included with all accounts.

I have a small business in New Hampshire and I’m leaving my physical address, will I need to register my business in the new state?

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  3 года назад

No idea! Probably should ask a professional (attorney). I'm sure there is a way to maintain a business out of state, but you might have to keep a mailing address. Don't listen to me! I'm just an idiot on the internet. 👍
