Thank you so much for sharing this pattern, I just made this beanie in a smaller size than you made it as I needed it for a newborn baby so I didn’t increase as many stitches on the crown of the beanie as the video shows and fewer rows and it came out perfect, I used a similar color worsted yarn Caron Simply Soft yarn in a lilac colour and I used a 4.5mm crochet hook and I’m going to crochet a flower in white yarn to sew on the beanie. Thank you so much, this is a really nice stitch! I am new to crocheting but I made it myself.

I saw that, but I've never made a hat for a 3 year old before. I've made baby and adult sizes so I know how to increase and decrease, but I can't tell how large this hat is without completing it. I don't wanna make it and it be too small or add unnecessary rows and end up too large. You explain everything else very well and make it look really easy, I just wanted to know what size the one you made is so I can adjust accordingly.
Hi, I started to make this hat last night but stopped after the third row because when I ended the first increase row I had two double bobble stitches and in your video you have a single bobble and then completed the last which made two bobble stitches. I had a double bobble before the space where the first one is completed. I counted and recounted, took it apart and remade it twice and still end up with two spaces having two bobble stitches at the end of the row. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Can you help me with this? Thanks.
The important is that you only have 6 increases on each round. If you have 6 increases, don't worry on the place that they are (always in a symetric shape) :)

Hi I did the hat 3time and it still comes out longer on one side then the other side can you please tell me why. I am getting frustrated I want to do this hat.
I did the same thing and I realized my mistake was that after closing a row with a slip stitch and then chaining 3, you must do the next bubble stitch in the space BEFORE that chain 3. (To the right of it) I hope this makes sense.

I think I might've made a mistake with the hook size I'm using 5.5 and the hat looks a bit big for a 2 year old or does it matter what size hook we use??

Maybe you are not using the crochet hook that you should use. Try to use a thinner crochet with this yarn ;)

The circumference for a 3 years old hat is aprox 50cm, and the lenght is like 17cm. The one that I made is for a 3 months old baby :)
