woooo you are awesome...dont change the way you teach ever....this style was difficult for me to understand but thanks to you i got it...and made the baby hat and im going to give it as a gift to a friend who is going to give birth to a baby boy thanks you!!
Love the beautiful star design. You have great patience to show and love the way you teach in your tutorial. You make it so very easy and enjoyable! 💞🌷
Thank you!! I have struggled to learn how to do a star stitch, I think your simple explanation will help me greatly create this hat. I love how it looks. Im ready to make this hat! Ive watched a few of your tutorials, Ive subscribed to your channel!
Love how there's 3 different star stitch beanie hats on RUclips including mine but they all look so very different and all just as beautiful as the next. Can't wait to make this one. Thanks for the video.
I absolutely love your videos so much. I am really new at this. Your explanations are clear and I can see what is going on. Thank you! You have helped me make so many hats!
Love your soothing voice. The instructions you gave were very clear indeed. As a beginner, I found all your videos very helpful. This is going to be my next project, God willing. Thank you 😊
These come out so beautifully.. thank you for such a gorgeous pattern! I get so bored with the bog standard single or double crochet baby hats and these turn out so neat & beautiful. I've used different sized hooks to make larger and smaller ones for my local hospitals baby ward. You're a wonderful teacher xx
Thankyou very much for your wonderful tutorials. I look for yours specifically when I have a project I want to attempt because I know you are easy to follow and explanatory. I would not have had the courage to continue with crochet had it not been for you x
Thank you, enjoyed your video, easy to follow and with a calming voice, made the jacket and a hat. First time crocheter. Don’t suppose you have a video on a similar pattern for a dress please?
I love the you explain! I would like to make this into a clutch bag to work in the round. But I haven’t figured out the multiple I should start it with. I am going to make a narrow base and then work it around. So when I am going to start the pattern, how many multiple I should have? Thank you
Hi thank you so much I’ve finished making this hat for my granddaughter turned out so beautiful. I want to make a bigger size now for 3-6 months how many stitches do I start of with? Thank you 🙏🏼
I love your videos, they are very easy to follow. I would love for you to do a poncho for little girls. I'm new to the crochet world and I would love to be able to crochet a poncho for my 7 yr old girl. :)
Hi thanks for these beautiful design cap☺☺ ... pls tell us about 3 to 4 years baby cap as well ... as i have seen o to 6 month or 12 months if i want to make cap for 3 to 4 years baby than how many stitches i have to make for star cap and other designs cap also.
Love your directions. I'm a beginner. This was challenging for sure, but your tutorial is easy to follow, very detailed instructions and the video is great! What yarn did you use for your hats? I love the way it looks in your hats. My yarn in thinner. Not nearly as pretty. Thank you.
After my first row of the star stitch the way it appears it wouldn't even fit a preamie 🤷♀️ I'm using cotton cakes size 5 hook. I'll keep going. Lol I do love how you do your tutorials!! Ok when I slip stitch after the first row of star stiches there is a hole big enough for my finger! Ugh This just isn't working for me. Beautiful stitch. Thanks for teaching it to me. ☮️🕉️
Love your tutorial but I need some help, I think I have followed as you said but at the end of round 7 my hat just looks like a flat nothing, it doesn't look like a hat? Any help would be great! Thank you
I know your comment is old but i had the same problem. Did you figure it out? I think my problem was on one of the rows instead of doing 2 hdc, i was still doing 3
WoolyWondersCrochet Thank You so much! I absolutely love all your patterns and so do the friends I have made them for. Excellent teacher and always so charming!😁
Hello there just wondering if you could please do an crochet octopus for premie baby's ? as I donate everything I make if it wasn't for you I'll still be knitting you have opened the world of crochet up for me and I thank you x your items I make and donate to hospitals x you are an amazing teacher Thanks x
chel w There is a video on the Bella Coco channel for an octopus toy (part one is only available but part two will be out in about a week). Sarah-Jayne does mention that it may not be suitable for premie babies but maybe just don't use safety eyes - she explains all this in the video. Hope that helps!
Great tutorial always. Do you use #3 or #4 yarn? I could not find the kind of yarn you're using. The common brands available in the stores are lion, red heart and bernat. Thank you.
I also had the same question. When I looked in the description box I saw that she mentioned a "worsted weight yarn" in this pattern, yet the title says "chunky" yarn. The yarn looks to be a 4 weight. If you choose a 3 weight or DK, you need to make allowances for the smaller stitch so your beanie will be to size. Measure the crown before you begin the star stitch row (use a measurement hat chart).
I'm give up! I'm not a beginner crocheter, but I spent over 5 hours trying to get this right. I have worked with a couple of different start stitches before, but my hat is not coming out even close. I have never had so much trouble with a pattern.
MissNayNay A bigger hook and yarn with added stitches, i mean if it's for a child it's a smaller hook and yarn. I don't suppose you have to be a rocket scientist to know that lol
I'm using a bigger yarn and a larger hook and no stitches needed changed. I'm a beginner as well. Beginners don't know everything and you needn't be sassy.
Wonderful video. I'm still a beginner and I found it very easy to follow your work and my hat turned out beautifully. Thank you!

How much yarn is needed for this?
Does anyone know how I would increase in order to make the hat bigger?
Hope I'm doing this correctly. Second round of stars there are 24 star stitches. Is this correct?
Could you make a long sleeve baby dress? I'm having a baby in the winter, and I can't seem to find long sleeve baby dress patterns :)
