Send a prayer/light out to the man whom inspired me to be who I am. I loved mr O. He was the reason for me being here. He inspired me to go to college and become a choral director…. He saved me in HS. Changed my life. I’m just really grieving right now. Most influential non family member in my life. Please send some love light or prayers. TY

Hi my guy
My prayers are with you Peter! In 2019, I lost one of my Aunts to cancer and both of my Grandmothers (one from dementia and the other passing away peacefully from old age) on both sides of the family. And just recently in September of last year, in 2021, I lost my mother to pancreatic cancer 5 days before my big sister’s wedding. I am only 23 yrs old so that that was a crusher for me and my family. But, instead of feeling sad, we always try to remember them with laughter and a smile which was my Mom’s wish in her letter that she wrote me awhile before she died. Even though it’s extremely difficult. I’m sure Mr. O will want you to always remember him with a smile and keep spreading the love of music to people who need to hear it in their time of need. Music always has a way to heal people in ways people don’t expect. I sing in choir at church and it always calms and refreshes me to get through another week. May God be with the both of us to comfort us during this difficult time of grieving.
I needed this so much. I've suffered from depression.ost of my life. Lately it's been the worst it has ever been. This song has helped. God has a plan and he won't give any of us more than we can handle.

My High School music teacher made a huge difference in my life too, he passed a couple of years ago and I felt the loss even though we were not really in each others lives anymore. He was able to get the best out of his students and his funeral service had hundreds of people there whose life he had made a positive difference to. Thinking of you xx

I went to Ashland High a bit before you, but Mr. Otte was a huge part of my Highschool experience. such a great instructor and talent that I wish I had gotten to experience more. We have lost a lot of teachers from my day (class of 88). and I just didn't participate in stuff back then.. and i really regret it now. keep up the good work.

This song has brought me so much comfort. In December, I fell walking home from the metro and hit my head on a metal fence. I was seriously injured. My body's racked with pain. I'm in vestibular therapy for a persistent concussion symptoms (the actual medical term), and I may be getting seizures or have PTSD based on the fact that I lose awareness of surroundings. For the first 2-3 months, I really didn't know what was even going on -- or not fully, anyway. Anyhow, this song has given me comfort when I most needed it. Thanks!
