Would be interesting to test stock prop with the lighter dog thing and original nut for maximum weight savings. Wonder if the extra few grams saved on the spinning centrifugal force makes a difference. Does look good with the bullet nut tho :)
I did test it to see and the speed was about the same i believe, But i went for the looks 😋 Also the plastic prop gets dammaged very fast and you will loose the extra speed very quickly
It really depends on which prop you use. The aluminum cnc props are terrific. It also depends on the pitch. I run a cnc 45mm 1.4 pitch and it dramatically increased performance. The octura x445 is also a good choice. Cheers from Texas!
Most of mine I have purchased from Offshore Electric. I do have a couple from Dasboata. Chris Hoffman is the prop master at Dasboata and his are outstanding!! I have a set for my TFL zonda, and sonicwake. The sonic 2 prop for the sonicwake gave me huge gains in speed. Cheers from Texas!!
Few suggestions to keep water out. Put some foam, usually a mm or two thick with a sticky side from local hardware store around the hatch area to seal it and the stock rubber motor cooling jacket leaks like crazy, the hot racing one seals well and with both of these, should have minimal (few drops) to no water in hull after runs
Just make sure u get the hot racing m41 cooling jacket. It has flat spots on the sides to fit in the m41 motor mount. The spartan one is too wide and requires dremmeling of motor mount to fit. (Don’t ask me how I know on buying the wrong one lol)
@@VetteWay2Fast Haha 😝 Well i actually have it laying around here somewhere But i was pretty happy with cooling of the traxxas jacket And i tought that the hot racing one would leak more since it only has 2 seals. The jacket is really tight around the engine.
It is tight but flex’s when it fills with water and breaks the seal I’m guessing. The metal hot racing is a really snug fit and doesn’t flex at all due to being metal and does not leak at all.
Hot racing brass prop $50usd slowed my M41 with 6s to 10mph. It was so so so heavy. Aluminum is allegedly better but also another $20usd. I bought every traxxas plastic prop in stock from the hobby stores on east coast USA last year so I had to try upgrades which failed.
@@HappyDude1 yes 13 min full throttle (on Spartan SR) and it’s Traxxas 2S 7600 lipo !!! It’s really short… with Traxxas 3S 5000, I drove 9 min full throttle !
I have traxxas Spartan and M41 too. So Need to put The full boat has to be in the water right and run it . and water go to cooling esc and come out. Can u tell me please and make videos please I want see it

The plastic prop performs a little bit better. I just went for the cool look 😀 and oouuugh texas i want to live there 😗

@@HappyDude1 what makes the plastic prop better curious
Where are you getting your aftermarket props from? We just got an M 41 cat and a blackjack 41.

@@HappyDude1The hot racing props have a lot of extra weight to them, Go with a true CNC from OSE or Dasboata it will out perform hands down.

I knew that brass is way to heavy
I went with an aluminum prop, same diameter and pitch. Had no choice, I was breaking the plastic ones almost every run.
Yeah the plastic ones are weak
nice m41 and just curious you still have this exact same boat ? Im getting the same one as yours but the green version
Thank you and yes Still i have it 😁 Going out for a drive today 😀
Really good videos and since I'm new to boats, lots of helpful tips, TY😊😊😊
Thank you
And i also made a fun adventure video with this boat and my bronco
Hey Bud I was just curious on that aluminum prop, you didn't sharpen or Polish it?????
It already is
How many time you drive with 6400mah in 3s ? Because with my 7600 in 2S it’s just 13 minutes…😢
@aurelp991 Is that 13 minutes full throttel? I think mine did between twenty and thirty minutes. Which brand battery do you have?
