- The t test is one type of inferential statistics. It is used to determine whether there is a significant difference between the means of two groups. With all inferential statistics, we assume the dependent variable fits a normal distribution.

*x1 ki sum of observation* is 50( 10+4+3+2+4+2+5+10+5+5)u can use calculator too

When is n-1 used in T test .I saw in a text book n was used even when the samle mean is given
There is lots of mistake in IGNOU book..for instance if u see T TEST formula the square root should be of the whole term...

p is the level of significance ...and we check the level of significance at 5% = 0.05 and 1% = 0.01...which i already discussed...

nope..if in the denominator there is n1*n2...the answer will always come in 0.something..so significance would be so low...

99% it will be independent t test ..independent and dependent will be know by the question statement

Whenever our calculate value is greater than the critical value we reject the null hypothesis...Or u can say accept alternate hypothesis..Hope it sort out ur doubt

I have no idea about T test I have done my problem after seeing your vedio. So I can't help you with hypothesis also in question no critical value is given .they have given 2 groups A and B
Group A values are 45,56,54,44,34,57,78,32,22,22
Group B values are 34,34,55,42,46,32,25,64,24,25
These are the scores obtained by two groups of student on motivation scale. Compute T Test and find significant difference exist between the two groups. Sir pls help me with this.

Even in the IGNOU boks t test formula is wrong...I don't know about the Neeraj book....as long as ur answer remain same u can use any formula...SEM is a part of T TEST....
