I love Murray's painting style so much. Everytime he slaps colours on I'm like "that won't work", but it does, every single time.
"Why did I accept the offer of the suspicious man???" 🤣
Because him recommending something other than streaking grime lulled you into a false sense of security? 😜
Full 'chrome' Din with reflections on the armor would be cool too.
YES. 100% YES. The thing that I love about that specific shade from the armor, is that it seems to always seems to pick up all the ambient colors of the surroundings. For being so shiny, it does a really good job of actually being kinda stealthy
Gosh, Murray's incredible at painting minis
I would have never believed that was a hand painted model had I not seen the process. That turned out absolutely insane!
I really did like both versions of the base as well! With and without the ground textures!
This is one of my favorite TTT video so far. I love how much more time was spent on showing the paint application, which of course was nicely coupled with Murray's narrative.
I feel like most of the other videos feel rushed making it difficult to really learn anything. This video taught me a lot, including to be wary of The Starnge Man, but to be open minded at the same time. Oh, that sounded weirder than intended... Thanks TTT!
It's so interesting seeing the different painting techniques of everyone on tabletop time!
I've not done much wet-blending, and I'm amazed at how roughly the paint is applied at first.
I'm surprised that the "suspicious man" didn't offer a pot of streaking grime.
The finished mini looks great.
Hey I haven't seen you in a video before and I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your presentation. The painting is obviously fantastic but I could really follow along with it because of your clear voiceover. :) Keep up the good work
Hurray for Murray! I want to see more of your fantastic painting!
I just love Murrays painting style , the use of colour is so interesting and in the end it really puts the miniature 'in the scene' If that makes sense
I love Murray's style. It's so gritty, but still pops with color. Great video!
Oh man, this was great! I'd love to hear you talk more about how you use and think about colour
Can't get enough of Murray's painting style
More painting from Murray! His painting style and process is excellent to watch and see !
Thanks Murray, those instructions were awesome - not the "speedy paint to play" but neither "you need to spend 3 month on a model to make it look good". how much time did this take you? Really relatable and useful, right up my alley. I'm in for more of this type of content any time!!
I have been building and painting models and figures since the 1950's and just wanted to say that I think you have some very good ideas and techniques. The end result is an extremely high quality finish and look. I bought a resin printer in December and have been having a blast printing out models and scenery, some of it are designs that I created in Blender myself (because I needed prints of things I could not find). These are truly marvelous times for those interested in this type of artwork.
Keep up the great work !
I absolutely love Murray's painting style
Was nice to see someone with a more erratic, colour complex and aggressive painting style. I feel like you get a lot of tutorial style videos that focus on slow calm laying and glazing or just dry brushing your way to easy minis.
I’ve honestly had anxious moments of thinking I was weird for sometimes just going into an artist blur and throwing tones at the model that I can clean up later.
Seeing someone producing great work with similar pace of work was surprisingly re-assuring.
enjoyed the Murry dialog! more please
Murray's painting style is seriously awesome
Great to see your work and outlook Murray! The use of pure black for depth and shadow is a little too intense, those deep blues and purples are perfect! Thanks for making this content!
I actually have a few models waiting to be painted this weekend, I think I’ll try what Murry did in this video and not use any black. It could be incredibly interesting
Thoroughly enjoyed this video, especially the more artistic approach being applied to mini painting. Mixing colours directly on the armour and avoiding black are both great ways to challenge ourselves as mini painters. Definitely would be keen to see more of Murray painting things :]
I actually like the final base. The brighter look gives it the more tatooine vibe.
Awesome project, thanks for choosing the model from Gambody! 🤗
More Murray! Hilarious 😂 The hands joke made me wake up my family with my laughter 😂
That turned out absolutely stunning!
(and loved the re enactment of that mysterious man with his daring suggestion)
Murray’s painting skills are beyond incredible
Murray (spelling unknown 😂) is an absolutely amazing painter and presenter! Fab video thank you!
Murray's painting is kinda mesmerising.
good thing i did not paint 2000 points of black templars before i saw that i dont need to use black paint 🙈
I really like this model/paint job! You did wonderful work, my friend.
Murray is a Jedi master of painting. What the hell? That was amazing!!
I’m shocked at how well this technique worked, the blending and choices of the colours were amazing! Trying this next time for sure

"....You're recording and I just walked in on you..."
"Hi"
"God dam-"
I like Murray and Dave hobby videos. Keep videos like these coming
Yap, more Murray 9000 please. He is really good with content making. The statue turn out cool
You make it look so effortless!
Wow Amazing! Love Murray’s style for painting models. Great!
Murray is great! More Murray:)
I want to see more videos like this Murray painting. And talking about his painting. This while thing was awesome to watch.... about 10 times. Lol
Looks great, this is one of those fun kind of self-imposed challenges that I really love. Limited palettes, no black, etc... yeah, super cool.
It's so beautiful!!!
This needs to be sitting (or standing) next to a Mando statue the same size!
I know that you have to leave a lot of the model with less details and focus on the arias that people are going to look at but the backpack/jetpack is such an iconic part to me
That's awesome. I love how everyone of the team has their own way!
And the awkward outros are every time genius 😂
Me: Man, I need to sleep.
TTT: *Uploads
Me: Well... maybe I don't
I like this Murray guy. He’s a good guy.
Lovely work, this reminds me though, I've got to watch that show! 🤣
that scarf and other details makes it look like the deputy instead of boba
That's awesome!
Btw: I really love that he wears the Tusken robe underneath his armor.
Came out fantastic!
You nailed it! Nice job mate!
Wow, Murray is incredibly talented >:3
Really enjoyed this! Please list the colors used of at all possible; I’m extremely curious and it would help tremendously especially as that blue ended up looking so dark.
Super nice Boba Fett paint job!
This is so cool! I love how it turned out!
He is a simple figure, getting painted beautifully like his farther before him.
My partner - who doesn’t watch nearly as much as I do - walked in while I was watching this and shouted “WHY IS MURRAY OUT OF THE STORAGE CLOSET?!” 🤣🤣🤣 In other news, you did a bang up job! Very great job as always. The stippling is something I never thought of!!
Wee woo cool vid thank you 😊
Beautiful work
Amazing video, love the style. More of these please 🙂
I am surprised that the "mysterious" man did not recommend a certain streak n' grime...
when I paint black I either use a dark grey or an off black of some kind. if I want a cool shade I'll mix in dark green/blue or something.
I don't mind full black TBH if that's what someone wants to paint, it just gives a cartoonish look. I think a lot of cases though, people are not well informed on how to paint black (or white) properly.
I definitely use black paint though, I just mix it with other colours.
He paints so aggressively it scares me, but i wanna try it now!
something about the figures pose reminds me of those "when your mom is on the phone but you need to talk to her" memes. either that or he just looks so done with whatever hes looking at lmao.
Great paint job, Dave!
I'd warn you to beware the 'suspicious man' - he swans around, with his unkempt hair, like he owns the place! If I find myself outside Jazza Studios and I have a plastic figure that needs painting, I shall walk in and ask for you, Murray. I'm impressed with your skill, and I'm keen to hear what 'The Jazza' makes of this comment haha!
So this looks like he used a similar technique to the time he painted the second space bear bust. I'm really interested in a deep dive on this. I think I would really like to attempt it myself it seems really freeing and just a neat approach also really like the end result. Only problem is I don't quite understand how he approaches painting like this. Would really appreciate maybe a video going over how he approaches it. Also love the channel keep having fun.
I wonder who the strange man could possibly be
Din with Chrome or Din with both variants [helmet no helmet] would be so cool to see like this one!
Great paint job...love your vids!
I feel like the title should be “Dr. Bobalove, OR How I Learned to Stop Using Black and Love Wetblending.”
He looks like a giant frodo and I love him
Never take advice from strange suspicious muppets
That was coooool!
Would you be able to do one of Din? I would love to see how you do the rainbow in the silver chrome!!
I think it looks pretty dope. almost thought you were going to say he offered you streaking grime lol.
I'm just chiming in with praise for Murray's painting. During the process it looks like any models he paints are being man handled by a toddler who is covered in fingerpaints but it always finishes super smooth
You should try and do a diorama of din and boba flying and shooting from the scene
Murray Hands over here giving me Monty Python Vibes
My 6 year old son wanted to say that he is glad that Murray is ok and he hopes that this model of him last longer than the last one.
Also make sure he goes on the charger!
Very Nice way to use blue as the dark. It felt more natural in some way. Iam gonna go blue 🤘
Always love the videos! hope to see more coming soon! : D
Incredible!!
I thought the suspicious man was going to suggest streaking grime 😂
damn this would be a nice addition to my shelves
It’s a shame about those print lines, but other than that.....
I fucking loved this video, that paint job was awesome. I want to see Murray paint some other larger models, I’d really like to see more of his technique.
And more beautiful Murray hands of course.
Wow! That’s such and incredible technique to get a lot of depth, what brand of paints did you use?
Good day to all
Entertaining to watch bro 😁
Good fun
It be cool to see Jab's palace
DO ROBOCOP! Massive props Muz he looks sick as. 🤘
Where can I find this model? It’s great!
i remember this video having a different title
PERFECT!!! 😍😍😍
For the next video, how about making Cad Bane figure ?
Can we get a painting tutorial from Murray??
Yes please!
Do a Mando statue!!
How do you know which colour combinations give you the outcome you want?
