I worked in a sleep lab. Very few adults hit deep sleep. Sleep: no alcohol, no caffeine, regular meal times, habitual sleep times and sleep rituals. Most young adult males slept 9 1/2 hrs when in a soundproof, lightproof room. I love that what you are talking about is common sense.
I believe that quality sleep is significantly influenced by indoor air quality, humidity, and temperature, especially during winter. Factors such as inadequate indoor air circulation and exposure of the head to cold drafts can have a detrimental impact on sleep quality. In many cases, bedrooms are poorly ventilated, with windows and doors often kept closed for extended periods. This can lead to poor indoor air quality, which can have serious consequences for respiratory and cardiovascular health.
It helps to have a job with stable hours and routine. Also, when you are too poor to move out and get your own place, you don't have a choice about your noisy neighbours, or night deliveries on the business doorstep downstairs, or your dad's noisy habits when you have to sleep early for your morning rise at an ungodly hour for work. Its number one priority and challenge as well but with Brian support we can improve it and reverse what was neglected. Im do happy right now and greatful for this hard beginning of motherhood do i realised ealier the value of life and how to maintain it. Wish you the best sleep and rest possible right now even its not much and in the future !!!
My sister was smart, she just did the cry it out method . She’d let them cry but watch from the doorway just in case until they calmed down (ofc she got her docs permission first and didn’t have any ill kids). After 1 week of doing the technique her first was sleeping through the night and it took about 2 weeks for baby #2. She said it’s the best thing she ever did for not only her own physical/mental health but it also established healthy sleeping patterns for her kids even as they’ve gotten older.
Thanks to Brian I realised how tremendous are the negative effects of sleep deprivation over time. In one year I put a lot of effort in fixing my sleep and I have never slept better than now. Brians "make sleep your nr. 1 priority" changed my life.

@aydintm breaking news, he just said he will stop this anti-aging experiment because it might be ageing him faster. Don't get me wrong, the guy has good points, but it's nothing I haven't heard on Jay Shetty. It's the same pillars of discipline successful people have, but explained in their own personal ways. The good thing is that everyone is unique and can latch on those pillars uniquely. The bad thing is that these pillars of success are said over and over that I need a break from the same scratched disk. This one is the regurgitation of all the pillars that have been said in the last 6 months of Jay Shetty. Imo this gent wasn't necessary to have on the podcast, he was just used for clicks. And listening excersies 😅
28:00 yes, water quality is essential. I have a whole house water filtration with RO at my kitchen sink and attached to my refrigerator water dispenser. The cleaner house water reduces buildup in plumbing. I used to suffer from psoriasis, but it has improved dramatically with cleaner water. I get a mild flair up on my neck during times of stress. Clean water benefits my children, helping them to develop well. I send them to school with stainless steel water bottles with RO water & a sprinkle of celtic sea salt for added minerals.

Yea that does seem difficult. I kinda do the opposite where I fast the first part of the day (which is when I do all my exercising too) then eat dinner (which I break up into 2 separate meals) then later on I snack (but only fruit/veggies) until about 2 hrs before bed and my body is in tip top shape and extremely healthy . I learned a lot from this podcast. One night without sleep makes us essentially legally drunk! I’ve always felt this way but didn’t know that science confirmed it. Lots of powerful data about micro-plastics. I need to get more rigorous about protecting my sleep. I think I’ll make a hypnosis mp3 for this.

About the hours of deep sleep that happen in the beginning of the sleep cycle, why does it matter when you go to bed? In the example Bryan gave he said he slept for 2 hours between 7-9 to get his deep sleep and then went back to sleep at around 1 am for the rest of his sleep. But should the deep sleep happen at the beginning of the sleep cycle regardless of the time someone is going to bed? I guess as long as the person is still getting 7-9 hours of sleep, does it really matter if they go to bed at 7 pm or 1 am?
I think the issues with that can involve blue light exposure. I suppose 1am would be a fine bedtime if we manage light exposure before bed, while sleeping, and upon waking.
I was wondering that too. Even if he went to bed at 1:00am wouldn’t those first 2hrs still be deep sleep? I guess maybe it would throw off his natural rhythm (his routine) so his internal clock would “know” that it was later than his normal sleep time, so it would skip that process and immediately go into a lighter sleep stage, rather than starting from the beginning?
monks in china.. south korea.. india.. myanmar , laos or indonesia for example.. these people are born into this lifestyle... they eat clean.. drink clean.. live clean.. do they live on average to 100? NO.. of course not..in fact... in fact... the people who live over 110 on average will all tell you... they ate everything all their lives.. and continued to eat what they wanted.. they drank alcohol.. they smoked.. they ate meat.. they ate ice cream.. cakes.. cookies.. pies.. you name it.. they all said.. I just ate in moderation and i still do at 105 .. the french woman who lived to 117 said she quit smoking at 110 drank alcohol all her life and ate chocolate... the italian woman who lived to 114 said she ate cookies everyday all her life a packed a day.. and drank a bottle of wine.. then slowed down to a glass or two. ate pasta.. bread all her life... there is NO CHEATING DEATH.. and believing eating clean and trying to do everything measured and scientifically will get you over 110 is BS.. but lets see if this man makes it to 110... lets see what he looks like at 94... gene hackman 95.. clint eastwood. 94. robert duvall... william shatner 94, mel brooks 98.. tippi hedren 95 robert wagner 95 .. barbaara eden 93 Eve marie saint 100.... dick van dyke 100 go and study them... ask them what they eat and how they lived from 20 to 60... 60 to 80.... then 80 to 100... and then look at health freaks who are all dead in their 70s and 80s
It’s nature’s process of getting old and dying, it can’t be beaten. Living years can be healthy if one is disciplined in eating. Most important thing is what one does with life, only self gratification? That is the reason we have a unsafe wild violent world
A lot of your Bryan’s approach seems logical but some parts made me wonder the result would also be a lot different if he was a woman. We have a monthly menstrual cycle to understand better that also links to sleep and diet etc. It would be even more interesting if we could get both gender studies and this might help women to understand even better . But already I appreciate all these facts and results being shared yet the conversation didn’t seem too unapproachable -It’s definitely a start to a better living lifestyle.
Is there a difference between sleeping at night and sleeping during day time? Asking because people in my family work night shift and sleep day time. How does that affect their health over time? Thank you
Very big difference. It causes major circadian disruption. Different people have different thresholds in how much it affects them, but there are studies on shift workers and they are pretty much higher risk for every single chronic disease out there.
Your body can and usually will adapt to a night schedule . Especially if you take a bit of melatonin before sleep and as long as it’s consistent . The biggest issue is when people work swings shifts (mornings some days and nights other days). It messes up the system bc there’s no set routine and your body can never truly adjust. But if you sleep at about the same time every day/night your body adjusts. Some people even thrive on this schedule (I’m one of those people and so was my grandma). We both naturally were night owls. she was a nurse who worked nightshift and she was super healthy her entire life until she died at 94 from old age (no particular ailment they just said “old age” on her death certificate).

Wow that was so inspiring , pls share the nutrition pack in the bio too 😁💕

Only God knows how much grateful i am. After so much struggles I now own a new house and my family is happy once again everything is finally falling into place!!
Wow that's huge, how do you make that much monthly?.. I have been looking for ways to be successful, please how??
It's Ms. Evelyn Vera doing, she's changed my life.
I started pretty low, though, $5000 thereabouts. The return came massive. Joey is in school doing well, telling me of new friends he's meeting in school. Thank you Evelyn Vera, you're a miracle.
Wow...I know her too she is a licensed broker and a FINRA agent she is popular in
US and Canada she is really amazing woman with good skills and experience.
This was such a brilliant conversation. Thank You Gents!
So glad you enjoyed!

8hrs sleep is paramount
Basically what he is saying.."Avoid everything in the world and just be"
monks in china.. south korea.. india.. myanmar , laos or indonesia for example.. these people are born into this lifestyle...
they eat clean.. drink clean.. live clean..
do they live on average to 100? NO.. of course not..in fact... in fact... the people who live over 110 on average will all tell you...
they ate everything all their lives.. and continued to eat what they wanted..
they drank alcohol.. they smoked.. they ate meat.. they ate ice cream.. cakes.. cookies.. pies.. you name it..
they all said.. I just ate in moderation and i still do at 105 .. the french woman who lived to 117 said she quit smoking at 110
drank alcohol all her life and ate chocolate...
the italian woman who lived to 114 said she ate cookies everyday all her life a packed a day.. and drank a bottle of wine.. then slowed down to a glass or two.
ate pasta.. bread all her life...
there is NO CHEATING DEATH.. and believing eating clean and trying to do everything measured and scientifically will get you over 110 is BS..
but lets see if this man makes it to 110...
lets see what he looks like at 94...
gene hackman 95.. clint eastwood. 94. robert duvall... william shatner 94, mel brooks 98.. tippi hedren 95 robert wagner 95 .. barbaara eden 93
Eve marie saint 100.... dick van dyke 100
go and study them... ask them what they eat and how they lived from 20 to 60...
It takes someone to fully commit to the protocols and testing is the big issue. I think a lady signed up some time ago but haven’t checked on updates.
I recommend “Laura Tries”.
Amazing 👊

Epic, absolutely EPIC!
