Watching your videos through the eyes of the one well into their seventh decade I must say I believe what you’re doing may be one of the best ways for a person to spend one year of their life that I’ve ever seen… I applaud you
Thanks so much for your kind words and encouragement. It really means a lot and I couldn't agree more. Next to serving a mission for my church, it's the hardest and best thing I've ever done.
Brother I am absolutely so Envious of you, I know I am not supposed to be but I have to tell you I was Born a 100 Years too late. I love the Horses and Traveling.
Very Enjoyable Video...The Good LORD, is keeping a eye on you and your Horses. On your Journey, for sure...ride on, young man, into the sun set every day !
In this month of Thanksgiving, aren’t you so blessed and grateful to meet up with these wonderful people who help you on this amazing journey. We think of you and keep you in our prayers. Thank you again for keeping us informed along your journey.
Yes, and I'm meeting them every, single day! I'm overwhelmed by the outpouring of help and generosity people have been willing to offer a stranger. Thanks for the prayers and thanks for support!
Thanks for sharing. I’m in Canada and a horse lover don’t have one myself but I appreciate all the work you’re doing with your horses on the road and connecting with all the people keep doing what you’re doing. I really enjoy that journey with you and the horses.
Hi, Jake It's great to see and your fur family. I just heard about you and watching you on RUclips. Good luck on your journey and safe travels for all of you.. in New Jersey ❤😊
It's great to see people supporting you on your journey! My family and I are enjoying following you and your mighty mustangs. We wish you well, young man!
Hi Jake, It is great to see you remind folks just how slow travel by horse was 150 years ago. A few travel notes: Navajos like horses in New Mexico. The Oklahoma panhandle has grass burrs and guys running their 4-wheelers on sand dunes. Expect ice. In Texas when you need a place for the night, contact the county judge, who will usually put you up in the rodeo grounds. Arkansas has evolved away from horse and saddles, but they tend to be good folk. Many roads are narrow and crooked. I would prefer to see you guys traveling in pairs, but you're young. Have fun.
Love your videos! Thks for sharing! Half way through the video I was wandering when and how you were going to shoe the horses. Then you answered it. LOL! You have amazing courage and a clear love for the mustang. It has always amazed me in my life when we want to do something for good how God Always provides! God's speed!
Good morning Jake! Absolutely I am enjoying your videos! I have some experience relevant to your adventure, and intend to do some long distance traveling myself. You obviously (to me) bring "the right stuff " to your trip, so I am very keen on following you along. My best wishes, as always, for you and your crew, Eric.
You can thank my very talented friend Bentley Rowland for that. I take all the video, upload it weekly and then he edits it and turns it into the video that we post here on RUclips. The tri-panel screen was something new he tried and I agree that it's pretty dang cool. You can follow him on IG at instagram.com/bentley_rowland/
Enjoying your videos. I've done something similar. Plan on doing it again. Very interested in the fitting of your pack saddles, measuring everything. Maybe add some video of that. See the changes made on your saddles. Always trying to learn. GOD BLESS YOUR JOURNEY
Loving your videos! You have me wanting to get land and some mustangs. Defiantly will be in some time. We moved from Bayfield 5 years ago, my husband grew up in Mancos and has a lot of experience with horses. Thank you praying all continues to go well. God Bless you and your beautiful mustangs.
You are living my dream. I have always wanted to jump on my favorite Arabian and lead the other and just head west. You are fortunate to have GPS to keep you away from the larger cities. If I was 20 years younger I would join up with you. Invited or not LOL. Enjoy your journey and may God bless you along the way.
Towards the end of the video you were saying “I’ve been thinking over the past week….” And I expected you to say something about yourself or your RUclips channel or something a little bit more selfish, not that youre selfish, but that’s just what most people do. And then, instead of something about yourself, it was about your horses and how to make them more comfortable. Already had a lot of respect for you before but even more now as you clearly care for your animals more than yourself. Keep up the good work amigo 🤙🏼
I am truly enjoying watching your experiences on your long ride. You’re teaching all of us as you go too. Thank you! Looking forward to more videos as you move down your trail.
Hello from Utah. It has been too many years since I have been on a horse. Watching you reminds me of how calming it was being horseback and just enjoying the mountains. This is a wonderful thing you are doing. You and your horses are in my prayers for a safe journey.
All prayers are accepted and appreciated so thank you! No sure if you know this but I'm from Heber City, UT and that's where the Year of the Mustang project started and where it will end next year. Thanks for watching!
Hi Jake. I am loving your videos and the cause, just fantastic! I know you aren’t anywhere close yet but if I can help you with anything when you get to NC, I will be there for you. Thanks so much for the videos.
I laughed out loud ... was not sure what you meant by "chic farrier." I know what a farrier is, but could not put that together. Then got a good laugh when it dawned on me you meant she is a female farrier. Seemed a bit 20th century (not quite PC for the 21st century) to use that language, but it was pretty funny to hear it. Then! Ha! you made reference to her website and she named herself that. Not said with any snark or criticism. Kind of fun to hear it.
Hey Jake... I chatted with Jim again today about your adventure so far. All of us here at Sage Creek are excited for your travels and looking forward to welcoming you home at the end of The Year of the Mustang. It's great to see how well it's going and all the wonderful people you are meeting along the way. You are terrific and your journey an inspiration. "Around the next bend...over the next rise." Prayers and love to you!
Another great video, thank you! I love the content. It’s wonderful to see how much you obviously care for your horses and value their welfare. These animals are living their best lives in your care. I would have actually enjoyed seeing the foot care process and your interaction with the lady that’ll be doing improvements on your pack saddles as well. I do understand it’s not always possible to film everything, so I’m very happy with what we are getting. Have you had any close calls or bad experiences on the highway?
When I discovered your channel via another youtuber, I'll admit I was pretty sketchy at first, especially after the whole situation with 2raw2ride. After seeing your videos I realized how wrong I was. I truly hope you manage to reach your goal and wish you good travels.
Thanks so much for checking out what I'm trying to do and deciding for yourself. My mission is to encourage folks in the horse world to consider mustang adoption and my goal this year is to show the world what amazing horses they are. Thanks for giving me a chance and thanks for your support.
Been watching and enjoying all your adventures and videos! Would love to see more of the scenery as you’re traveling along. Would also be really cool to see or have somewhere to keep up with your tracking route to see what route you took. God bless and continued prayers for your journey! ✝️

I saw you on Ryan Road in Manalapan NJ and thought I was hallucinating. Having seen your story, you’re an inspiration and wish you best of luck on the return trip and for the horses you’re helping
Happy Thanksgiving! Jake ..Wow Jake, that countryside is gorgeous. I love your videos 😍. Your a cool and awesome guy. I continue to keep you and your horse's in prayer. I'm so glad good people are showing you their hospitality. Also beautiful terrain you are traveling through, breathtaking views. I'm sorry about your poor horses eye, hope it heals up good, thank you for taking him to a vet❤. Looking forward to your next video. Until then have an awesome week 🤠🙋♀️
Just stumbled across your channel, and your amazing journey. I drive truck across the county, so its really cool to see your view of it. I live in western Colorado. Also, watching this makes me want to go on a long ride and pack camp with my horses and my wife. May your journey be well and safe, and may you find many green pastures and may your water holes never run dry. "You can cut wood, leave it up on the judith, river boat captains will leave you gold if you put out a pouch. Good thing to know... if times get hard. Watch your topknot." Movie quote.
I think of you out there almost every night when we close up the barn. Keep warm. It's so great to see all the cool people you have met along your journey. Best wishes. Safe travels.
You Sir. I will subscribe to. Love what you do for the mustangs. And I love how the horse community is backing you. Your humility and common sense means so much.
Do you have somewhere on social media that people can track your route in more of a real time versus the weekly youtube videos? I'm in Maryland and when you come out East I'd love to help out if I can!
Fantastic videos Jake! Fun to see your travels through our region, and hear you had great connections to stay with. Your friend & YT video creator Bentley does an awesome job with your content!
