    Great to see the OG back!
    My wife and I love Whole Foods salmon and have it weekly as well. We joke it’s one of the few good deals in the whole store. When we don’t get the marinated ones, we get the six pack of frozen filets. They used to be only $20 for 6 but with inflation I think they are $25-26 now.

      Hey thanks Chicago Griller! You've got to know what you're doing at Whole Foods. I shop there a lot and know what not to buy. But honestly, in Manhattan where I live for the most part, it's no more expensive than any of the other grocery stores. Cheers man!

    After watching this yesterday, I went to Whole Foods today. Picked up the frozen pack and followed the directions here. First time grilling any fish. A quick oil, garlic, butter and lemon mix and it was awesome. I will be keeping my Q1200 slightly lower on the heat but that’s about the only adjustment as your video was perfect. If it’s good enough for the Chicago Griller, it’s good enough for anyone. Great job.

      It's been a while. I actually use my Q all the time for lunch and whenever I don't feel like lighting up the charcoal grills. It's definitely handy to have a little gas grill. Cheers Sheila!

    Nice work as always. I did some salmon on the hot plate/griddle a while back that came out nice but yours looks spectacular!

      I use the cedar planks all the time too. But sometimes you may think you have them and don't. It's good to know how to grill salmon without a plank just in case. Cheers!

    I hope things are going well. My bell is set at full tilt, so when I saw the notification for this "Gallagher's Grub" stranger and salmon on the grill, I immediately clicked on it. Then I see you standing in the kitchen. I have been doing a variant of your prep procedure for my salmon. I crank up my veteran Q grill to high (already have cleaned the grates off) and then prior to placing the salmon on I turn it down like you do. My cooking time is the same and then I stick them with my Weber digital probe for the 140/150 temp. My fish prep is just some olive oil spread on all sides and then a thin coat of lemon-pepper on the meat side in a couple of RubberMaid tubs while the grill is heating up. Great eating and with the heart failure good for the heart as well.

    Would've loved to seen some shots of the skin side... was the skin crispy? I normally pan-fry my salmon to get the skin super crispy, so I'm interested if the Q could do the same with its grill grates... I guess failing that, you could always use the griddle instead.

      I don't typically eat the skin when I cook salmon like this. It almost acts like a frying pan itself. It gets burnt, but preserves the flesh and adds a bit of smoky flavor.

    I love salmon but my wife is not a big fan, I cook her Mai Mai, Cod or Halibut and I eat salmon sometimes. Halibut is our favorite. But if she wants Cod I do I salmon for me

    Soooo, new channel name. When did this happen? I've been steering folks your way now I'm going to need to update them how to find you. Yuppers, fish, especially salmon are great to grill. Now hold on here Brian, get ready. My first video should be out next week. Yup. I've been taking some time off to get things in my life back on track. Do what I like and want. Step out of the fast lane in the rat race. Cooking and my goal of having my own channel are the priorities combined with salmon fishing again. So I hope to hear from you sometime next week in the comments. I'm asking everyone to laugh along with me, not at me, as I finally set out on this venture. First video is going to be a simple how to grill a steak. Good for first timers. Both for new grillers AND the new content creator trying to figure out what the heck he is doing.       Lol! No, haven't sold any bbq yet. But made a couple racks of baby backs on the new KJ for the 4th that were gobbled up pretty quick by my family. The kamado was rolling with the ribs, and I had my weber kettle going with burgers, dogs and corn-on-the-cob. It was a feast! Make sure you send me the link to your channel! Good luck!!!

      @@GallaghersGrub great to hear about your cook. It's a blast cooking large amounts of food. So you already have the "link" or channel. It's this channel, Victor Benner. I actually have several people who have already "subscribed " to my channel over the last couple of years. So if you want just hit my Name and it will take you to my "channel " already. Fyi, happy to hear you got a Kamado. Vertical smokers are so nice and easy as long as you don't over shoot your target temperature. Biggest challenge to not over shooting it is being in a rush to get to temp. Include it in a video soon. Even if it's just in the background.
