I skin my salmon and season it with olive oil and spices. Then I just place each filet right on the grill grate. Doesn’t stck at all and really comes out great.
Salmon is best either cold smoked or raw cured with salt for 30 minutes and followed by rice vinegar for thirty minutes. No fish taste better, better than yellow fin i found out after trying it for the first time. Now im eating it Atleast weekly or typically multiple days with a whole large side. If you havent tried this simple method your missing amazing, cooked salmon cant compare. Add a little wasabi with soy sauce as a dip and thats a meal.
That looks awesome, we love salmon but cook it a different way. Need to try your way, I don’t have a Weber kettle but I do have a 36” blackstone and a RT 700. Which cooker do you recommend me try your salmon recipe on?
Considering that it's on the cast iron grill while he's cooking it, it sounds like the blackstone would be a good one. However, I have bbqed Salmon on the pellet grill and it came out wonderful but definitely lacked the crustiness he's showing here.
