OMG, God bless you, I never knew anyone felt the same as O do. He said he ever felt worth. That was said not in regard to his voice or anything particularly just in general. But he was funny and so very personable . He had a gorgeous voice and was so good looking. This is just my thought but I think he was not let down anymore than he was because maybe it was a concern that he might have asked for equal time. As it was he had to play mediator for the two others. Each one wanting the lead. That’s why they broke for the time that they did, was they each wanted the spotlight. So they couldn’t afford for Maurice to realize his worth as a singer. I just wish he had know how Worthy he really was. God bless him. And I am grateful for the solos he got . I don’t guess that was the only one. I hope not.
Undeniably a brilliant soloist. He had the best falsetto of the three of them. I love his song The Bridge,he was generous to both Barry and Robin.A brilliant artist gone way to soon.He lives on through his music and his daughter and son perform with pride and the talent they gained from this beautiful man.Love you Maurice ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Barry liked country too. He said breaking into country when you weren't "country" was a hard barrier. Keith Urban, an Aussie, battled for years for his breakthrough in 1999. And Barry & Robin ... and Maurice too.. were chasing recognition at any cost😢. I agree, Maurice could've had a great country career on his own in another era, maybe
Yes! He had a great country style but his voice was the deepest of the three. He also had a fantastic falsetto but always stayed in the background and let Barry and Robin take the lead.He was the middle man who balanced both Barry and Robins urge to be lead singer. He was very involved with numerous instruments and had a broad understanding of the many facets of music. Brilliant song writer ✍️ and had a fantastic sense of humour. He was a beautiful man and that megawatt smile was to die for. Also,he wore a hot hat 🎩 better then many.Miss that beautiful soul.😢❤❤❤❤❤
20 years without you Maurice Gibb and happy birthday in heaven with Robin, you surely will be missed and your music legacy will forever lives on. 🥺😭 Sending hugs and stay strong always Sir Barry Gibb 🫂🥺😭 Hello from the 🇵🇭
I love Maurice! This is beautiful! He was so talented and gave us so much. RIP dear Mo, you are still such a bright ball of love and energy. That will never die!❤❤❤
First time I ever heard Maurice sing a song on his own He had a Beautiful Singing voice I wished He would of sang more & this song sound so good He sounded a bit like Andy ❤️🇭🇲
I’m aways saddened 😢that Maurice share more of the leads with Barry and Robin. His voice is smooth like honey and has a deep timbre to it..He was so humble and let both Barry and Robin shine. He was the glue that made them so fabulous. No ego on his part and like his song he was the man in the middle. So adorable in the many hats he wore.My favourite Bee Gee now and forever.Such beautiful song.❤❤❤❤❤❤
So different from Barry and Robin but that's why their harmony was out of this world. Yes, a lot of county sound in his voice. Just such a legendary group. Timeless
This is a beautiful song. Maurice has a lovely voice and a special style to this song. He should have had more songs that he sang by himself. Or sang more lead songs with his brothers Barry and Robin. Thank you Maurice for this sensitive, emotional and beautiful song.
I hope Maurice realized how good his voice was, The range and complexity of his notes were phenomenal, His lower notes are enough to make the floor vibrate.
@@carnationemerald You 're not right about Robin having no range. They all had a wide vocal range. Look into some of the lesser known songs. Only Barry really got to exercise his full range on a regular basis in the Bee Gees. It has to be said in many live performances Robin would 'dance' facing away from his mike facing Barry and he would be singing 'one voice' toward his brothers mike. Seen it a few times. In 'Alive' they did it openly.
not many solo songs of Maurice out there. besides this, there is only his first solo single from 1970 "Railroad" (ruclips.net/video/Z3l8t5g7JsU/видео.html) backed with "I've come back" (ruclips.net/video/8dSQXGd-LZk/видео.html). and of course there are several songs of the Bee Gees with Maurice on lead vocals
I have never heard this before! I've heard Maurice sing before and I always thought he had a nice voice. But this is a real shining moment for him. In addition to his ability to sing harmony, he had a real knack for country music.
According to Barry, he was a country music “ addict” himself. This is one of his accomplishments. Of course with the song “The Bridge” with his children.
Sad and sweet..dear Barry,...you have many wonderful memories that overthrow any sad ones .. So very many lovely year together...that is so few and far between for many Brothers.... We all loved them, stull do . And yes you know we all love you still... Brothers Gibb...ever forever..🎉😢😅❤
What a beautiful song. He's singing to your heart. Thank you Mo and The Bee Gees for making the world sooo happy with your amazing music. Love you forever. ❤❤❤❤
Absolutely pitch perfect and with a broad natural range. His voice has a wonderful masculine simplicity and resonance. I always listen for his harmonies when Robin and Barry are leading, but he blends his voice so perfectly into theirs that it's really difficult to pick. The difference he made was phenomenal. When you hear Barry and Robin sing without him, there's a thinness, something missing from the sound, although it is amazing and unique - and it's that rich resonance of Maurice's voice. The trio made perfect harmonies. Love the BeeGees! No wonder they are inimitable!. Love you Mo. I always loved your looks best and admired your simple elegance. No medallions and hairy chested macho for you. No need to push yourself forward. Your quality shows in every gesture and appearance you made. RIP. I wish I could have met you.
