I think you've shown everything that could be shown. The technics are very straightforward in their core, all the rest is about experience. How far it would travel, with what shape and value.. that's a though stuff, but there's no other way around it XD

so for those simi soft edges you going use a lot of paper towls. heh
Yes! With every painting I create, I'm using a lot of paper towels to control how wet the brush is (:
