I was on board with Trouba being captain until this year. He obviously had some leadership skills that were better than his hockey skills. Tro' has all of the skills you need to wear the C in NY.
The fact that Troch was the ONLY one (in addition to showing up for the series save for 1or 2) to immediately console Igor immediately after the game ended speaks VOLUMES of him as a person AND player; making him WELL deserved of the C!!🤘
This guy has become my favorite player on the team. Anyone who truly knows the game of hockey and what it takes to win a championship will understand why. The best signing by Chris Drury. Now he needs to find another player of that caliber and the Rangers will be exiting with the Stanley Cup next year. Easier said than done but if Vinny can't talk about missing pieces for obvious reasons we can.

Bingo this man and Igor have done everything without them the would have lost everything in the playoffs the 1st round
... and Lafreniere, the two best forwards in the playoffs for us, followed by Goodrow who really punched above his regular season weight.

The problem is most of the team doesn't play like you Troch except Laffy,Goodrow,Vesey,Lindgren and Schneider.
Exactly this. I would throw Cuylle in there as well. He's still young, but you can see his intentions and physical style already.
