When I played tennis in high school McEnroe was my hero. I always liked watching Agassi play too. To see these two tennis giants playing each other in pickleball is awesome.

I'm a tennis player who's learned pickleball. It's fun to play but I get bored quickly watching it. Here are two of the greatest tennis players in history and you can't really see their talent because the nature of the game masks the athletic greatness that tennis brings out. Pickleball is a much more accessible game for the masses (a la its popularity), but if I had to watch a 5 hour, 5 set pickleball match, I'd be asleep by the 2nd set.

Bad-mouthing a healthy choice for exercising is narrow minded. Just get off the couch and on a court, any court, and endorphins will do the rest. Be respectful & inclusive. Fun game to watch. Interesting to see their games adapt as they go.
As a tennis player i share the frustration of pickleball taking up tennis courts in places where there is already very limited tennis court availability. As a pickleball player, I mostly blame that on park and rec departments (and pickleball players) not thinking out of the box enough on where pickleball courts can be set up. Literally any court surface and even well maintained parking lot surfaces can be converted to pickleball courts, especially for lower level play. Feels like an unforced error for parks and rec to make pickleball vs tennis a zero sum game....
Also, i would throw an argument out there that pickleball has the potential to massively increase tennis interest if embraced correctly. Ive had many younger non tennis pickleball players look at a high level tennis players' pickleball drives and overheads and realized the fastest way to improve those shots in pickleball may be to figure out the technique in tennis first where the strings make power/spin generation more intuitive. Best way to practice proper overhead technique? Grab a bucket of tennis balls and learn the tennis serve. Just my two cents though...
