This "sport" could be more exciting if the following tweaks were made. 1, promote singles play instead. Pickleball court is too cramp for 4 people. Leave that for the seniors and the children. 2, get rid of the kitchen line. I can't stand that thing. 3, Improve the equipment so there's more pace and spin. One more thing, make the game play more like a combination of tennis, table tennis, and badminton. This might require significant changes but the game will be more athletic and more exciting to watch.

@@jcpenny3606 What you're describing there's actually a sport called Spec Tennis I recommend to check it out! It's played on the pickleball court and it has no kitchen line, faster paced, and everything like you said!

@@javiersays yeah it really is just a gimmick the US picked up for another thing to promote. It does reduce the skill gap between players though because you cannot win by force and some points are just random luck lol.

I think singles is a little more exciting to watch. Doubles always turns into these dink fests and although not bad when playing it isn't fun to watch.
Graf won more titles, matches, and spent more weeks at No. 1 in a significantly shorter career. And she won the Grand Slam. When Serena came close to doing that, she choked to Roberta Vinci. Graf hands down.
You can tell that Serena Williams is living rent-free in your mind, even though you're watching a game involving sharapova and graff you can't stop thinking about Serena Williams, LOL.
The truth is that Serena Williams humiliated sharpova for years and would have done the same to graff if she had the chance.

Pickleball pros don't make much. The number one player makes around 2.5 million a year with sponsorships, the number 1 female surely is close to 2 million. But 3-5 are probably lucky to get $200K a year. Lower than top 10 is lucky to break even.

This is tennis for kids ,l have nothing against it to use it for kids ,my opinion as former proplayer! Padel tennis is the same but it's much faster then this and u need more skills to be good! 😂
terrible sport or whatever it is. When i get older, i'd prefer playing on half of a tennis court than this. But nice seeing the players i grow up wiatching.
They rush the net all the time and that is just boring to watch. There is no space for anything exiciting.
So once you retire from tennis and then play tennis as a hobby for another 10 years till you get arthiritis, then you play pickle ball. Is that the transition we are supposed to make😂. What are all those lazy people doing watching this game from the stands?

Pickle and paddle are so utterly boring to watch. I really don't get why people do. I understand it's fun and simple to play. But to watch it sounds ugly and looks ugly and just looks like nobody ever makes an effort, nothing goes anywhere, because it's a closed piece of racket hitting a dudd; the material refuses interesting technique. Unreal that beach paddle would be thing, that there's enough silly people interesting in watching this lame stuff.

The physicality and mobility needed in pickleball is nothing compared to badminton, tennis and squash. And even table tennis.
For someone who doesn't play and is not interested in the sport, ya it's pretty bad to watch. But for someone who likes playing and wants to improve, it's fun to watch
