    Hey Titan you inspire more than the youth of your country. I told to a young person about your life, how you got there, the power of learning and perseverance, your famous thought "they can get everything from you but not your talent", what you do, how you do, and also I told him to follow you on your website on youtube etc. The young man was really REALLY inspired by you. He was amazed. So much amazed that he was not a lost mind in the forest of 21st century anymore. And this happened right in my country Turkey. Thank you to you, to all your team and to Nicole! ........ BOOM!

    It is really nice what you are doing for the youth of our Country. They are fortunate to live in this time and be able to learn and enjoy the new technology that is available. What a Vision! Glad you had it and are sharing it with us. BOOM!
    In the 1960's when I was her age we had manual machines. Now we have CAD, CAM and CNC machines. All we needed was someone with a Vision to help talented young people with proper instruction. The local school boards should also embrace this new technology and offer programs like yours to students. The US Department of Education should be LISTENING to you. Not every student needs or wants a college degree. They are smart and eager to learn and just need some proper guidance which has been lacking over the years.
    You are doing a wonderful thing. I thank you as a grateful nation should.
    John

    hey, it's NOT the part which is throwing us, it is that the computer has control, NO dials or handwheels for us (as basic machinists) to turn to initiate a cut, and for us with ZERO computer based machining experience, we understand parts like these MUST be CAST out of a sand box, to get that level of features, and their finish, as "we" can't machine them using a 'traditional' engine or manual lathe, or with files, saws, etc. so an idea is to simplify how the screen on the machine works, what everything is called, how and what programs are called, how to 'write' them, in our minds as well as into the computers "thing" which makes the part.

    Hello everyone!
    First, what you and your team are doing is GREAT! I have been all over your website increasing my skills and understanding. However, When you read about CAD/CAM and dropping it in a machine; there may issues with the post processor. Don't get me wrong, the ability to go through this and go from nothing to 5 axis programming in either 3 +2 of full 5 axis is one HUGE leap forward compared to any other place of learning! Would you address the post processor issue, I did not hear anything about that aspect. Can NOT wait to get to this aspect of the tutorials!!!!! The aspect of teaching all facets simultaneously is something that SHOULD be taught in CNC machining, not the baby steps that limit a person's growth..........

    Hey Titan, do you think it would also be a good idea to get most people to do a small amount of manual machine project work also? I think this would give an even greater understanding of the tooling side of things and would give people a lot more confidence when stepping up to the CNC/5 axis side of things.

    Hey there Titan!
    I know its not specific to this video. But I keep on hearing this argument that CNC machinists cannot be real machinists, as they do not use manual machines (like bridge ports or lathes).
    I've worked in a Machine Shop before. And I remember that there was this one tool maker. He is def as all hell. He also is the only person who uses the manual lathe in the whole place. But he has gotten so good at his job because he had to learn how to compare the vibrations in the floor against how well the part was being turned. Given this, I was wondering this : Do manual machinists say CNC machining is not real machining because there is less hands on things that they have to do?

    • @xTJx93
      @xTJx93 5 лет назад

      ruclips.net/video/qs_eWgR37R4/видео.html
      This is one of the videos Titan actually talks about manual vs CNC machining. I've been doing both and can't say that CNC machinist aren't "real" machinist because they didn't do manual. The only difference I would say is the productivity

    • @Sketch1994
      @Sketch1994 5 лет назад +1

      It's more because in manual machining you readily see the deviation between the intended and produced outcome on every pass. You get to understand tool load, deflection and vibrations a lot better. Also you have to get around the limitations of the machine's movements by devising strategic workholding, special tools and setups, and staying ahead of the process (you can't just turn/mill profiled soft jaws on manual as that is very time consuming and you need to be very creative). Also math is your biggest friend when it comes to manual machining (no g41/g42 on a manual...it's always stuck at g40). You get to answer questions "swivel the part or the head/table" according to each machines kinematics and the move coming up next. With that said CNC machinist can be real machinists but I disagree with Titan about hoping to CAM and claiming the title. A real CNC machinist knows the control's functions by heart like a manual machinist knows how to pick the gear ratio needed for that odd thread on his lathe. CAM is really a time saver but to be a real machinist you have to be able to interpret what it spits out in order to troubleshoot it when you get into trouble. CAM doesn't always give you what you need and sure as hell CAM systems program CNCs the stupid way. No clever macros or functions...just a hell of a lot of lines!

    You know what I'd like to see in these VLOGs, someone with a little grey in their hair? For instance, how about a sixty year-old retired truck driver -- male or female, doesn't matter.
    How about some baby boomers looking for an opportunity to retrain. You know, that massive segment of the population that invented and built virtually everything you see around you.

      @@TITANSofCNC Really? Is that a joke, cuz if it was meant to be, it's not a very good one.
      For your information/edification, there is a vast segment of the American population that is NOT in prison, is older than 20, is underemployed yet is ignored by you and others like you. We are still useful. We have not been a burden on society. In fact, we have paid the taxes that made your pet project possible, yet here we sit idly by while these benefits are doled out to others less deserving -- those that violated the rules of society, for one.
      Don't mistake what I am saying here. I do very much appreciate what you and your crew have created here. Because of your efforts I am free to utilize what you offer to my benefit (although, I don't have access to any of the horrendously expensive machine tools necessary to complete this course, nor is there a-hope-in-hell that I'm ever likely to.), and I certainly, emphatically agree with you that bringing ALL manufacturing back to America is a highest priority! But, what I especially don't appreciate is the implied suggestion that the only people in this country that are in need of what your program offers are Millennials with cell phones grafted to the ends of their arms or convicts looking for a "second chance."
      If you want to Make America Great Again, you need to start including the people who have made it great all along! We are the ones who's jobs were sold out from under us then shipped over seas!

      @@jawneelogik5744 they can watch the videos just as anyone else can. They should be motivated already to learn new things i think titan is targeting people who really have no idea that the whole manufacturing world exists. The youth is the future.. and hes focusing on that. if they see people in prison can do it then if they really want to retrain and learn they will.
