  • Paris is synonymous with high culture - in art, fashion, food, literature, and ideas. On this special joie de vivre edition of MNT, Rick teams up with his Francophile buddy and co-author Steve Smith to share a mix of favorite TV scenes and candid on-the-fly videos Rick grabbed while they were researching new restaurants. Together, Rick and Steve will explore the city's historic heart, including the venerable Latin Quarter. After a virtual stroll down the ultimate market street and a little power shopping, Steve and Rick will share the quintessential French meal. Break into your own crunchy baguette, imagine yourself settling into a rattan chair at the corner bistro, and join the fun! #ricksteves #mondaynighttravel

So much fun to reconnect to two guys who helped my wife and I plan our perfect honeymoon in France/Switzerland/Italy in 2009. Great, down to earth advice you can trust!

Paris is so very beautiful, elegant & classy! Such a historically rich, culturally vibrant & romantic city. There's nowhere quite like Paris. It really is totally unique in countless ways. My husband, family & friends just loves Paris & France in general & so do i! Thanks for sharing & teaching all of us, much more regarding Paris & of course France, within your other videos.

the way he makes those maps, are my favorite. just reminds me of those old Lord Of The Ring maps. Being Europe is old, it just blends in and are perfect. Just returned from a 3 week trip to Italy, your guide books made things so smoother.

Saucissons can be said but the proper word for sausages is: Des saucisses and this and that : Ceci et cela lol Rick when i travel i always take the off sites and i have found also that i learn so much more in fact my coworkers when on our trips often asked me where did you get that and how did you find this place etc... It's the way to travel.

Rick, will you please create a video with real life visuals, of your home town? I think many would love to learn more about you & where you live in the world. I sure hope you do! That'd be much fun!

I purchased your 23rd edition Paris guide book. We plan to honeymoon there in September 2023. Your detailed walks and tours are really helpful. I'm wondering though, if you plan to include more information and perhaps a map in a future edition for the promenade plantée, aka la coulée vert?

The people who didn't have pre-booked tickets for the Eiffel Tower may not be stupid, but rather unlucky. Many people try to get tickets when they are released but they are snapped up in minutes, then resold for more on Viator, etc.
