MODDED: Otis Traction Elevators @ The Tower Hotel, Niagara Falls, ON

Recorded August 4th, 2021. Unfortunately, the touch sensitive elevators are no more. They are now Otis Series M2. They could have done much worse, but still, really unfortunate. These are still rockets and fun to ride.

I knew this time has come. Now they are just plain basic brand new Otis elevators with pure stainless steel make it look like a parking garage elevator or a steel box elevator cab.

To be honest, living in Toronto/Southern Ontario, this is a dream compared to DewWORST and MAD mods. Niagara Falls in general has more “tasteful” mods, or rather less generic compared to most Ontario cities. These were still fun to ride (rockets), but yeah, it does suck they were modded, and they’re definitely generic and don’t have any character at all. It could have been MUCH worse, like the Crown Plaza 9-12 elevator.

@@elevcan2312 agree. I’m glad Dewhurst and MAD isn’t everywhere in Niagara Falls like it is in the rest of Ontario lol.

I was in Niagara Falls recently from May 18 to 21, but we never stayed at the Tower Hotel!

What does "EZ" mean on the display?

It means “Express Zone” meaning there are no floors/the elevator does not serve floors in that section.

Honestly, this mod isn't that bad. The Crowne plaza penthouse elevator mod was A LOT worse!

I agree! These were still fun to ride. One thing I notice about Niagara Falls is the elevators aren’t as generic as other cities in Ontario. They’re still quite generic, but thankfully not full of Dewhurst and MAD (except for the Crown Plaza mod).
