- TEAM SGG PATREON / somegadgetguy Gamesir X4 Aileron Review! I'm not the biggest fan of backbone style controllers. They don't often fit the phones I like the most, especially the phones with BIG cameras. Gamesir is trying to make the "cradled" controller more flexible, but getting rid of the spine! Here's a quick look at the X4! Let's play!

Wonder how that compares to the Turtle Beach Atom Controller. Good stuff as always.
I might consider getting this later. I love my Gamesir G8, but I do like how this one will be more convenient to take along with me, or even at home for if I want to attach my blackshark fan to my phone for if I want to play something very demanding but also require a controller.
Absolutely love this little guy!!!
Thats packaging done right. Good job gamesir.
It looks like a great design! The biggest con would be that it won't be compatible with Foldable phones. That's where the X2s and G8 are still good :)
What i love about this kind of controller is that you can use cooler with the controller, i buy gamesir g8 and regreting it cause i want to use it with switch emu, but sadly my phone heating to much and cant be cool down with my cooler
I got the redmagic version. Love that controller. Best controller I've ever used.
You can use this controller with the game cloud you can play fc24 right and jaun bagnell can you make a vid of where you use the controller to play fc24 pls
If it doesn't work on foldable phones it's a pass
There are other Gamesir controllers made for foldable phones. I believe Shane Craig made a video about it.
@@farishanafiah8461anything Bluetooth or has the USB C on the left should be fine with a foldable. They're not that long, just very tall.
I like the vision here
Hoping this type of android controller be more popular so i can biy a decent quality one and can use cooler
It being a Bluetooth controller does it work with iPhone ?
Yes, but you have to use the "Blue" mode which to turn it on is Xbox Button + B button. No one tells us about this EVEN Gamesir themselves they didn't told anybody

Kind of feel like this is a solution in search of a problem. It looks very slick and elegant but the double battery, extra latency of Bluetooth and lack of pass through charging are quite off putting.
Still feel like the X2 is one of the best choices for a compact controller.
Except the X2 and X3 wont fit on my Vivo...
@@SomeGadgetGuy Yeah that's fair, I just feel like there must be a better solution without the drawbacks of this controller. Hopefully one of these companies will nail it soon.
The only other solution I've found is the controller and cradle I showed. Anything with a "spine" is a no go if you have a big camera.
But you could use cooler with this type of controller, honestly they should sell this cheaper because of all flaw you said, but Its Xbox license so idk i guess
Seems small phones wont work
Can i use with iqoo 12 ? It a big camera too 😂
does it work on PS remote play?
Will this controller work with a samsung galaxy z flip 4
It should, but I'd be REALLY careful clamping anything to a flip.
Thank you
Pretty good price for this controller
It's spendy, and I worry about the batteries long term, but i think it's a good feature set and novel build for the price.
The Best fit for this controller are:
The Razer Edge
Or
The Pimax Portal....
Instead of Cell phone with or without case...
😎🤔🧐🙃🤯
I know its Xbox licensed but will it also work with PlayStation remote play need something that works with ps5 and xbox
It's paid though
can i use my wireless earphone considering this controller also uses bluetooth for connection?
I don't see why not.
Unless your phone somehow can only connect to one bluetooth only, IM pretty sure you can
Can it hold a z fold
Folded ? Yes. Folded open ? (obviously) not. The green tabs don't have nearly the height. It sucks, cause i love this style where it folds compact like that. But ah well.
Not sure why Gamesir isn't making a version specifically for foldables like the book-style foldables.
Does it fit OnePlus 12?
Cool design but sacrificing fan not cool😅, maybe they could sell a separate module that could bring a satisfying click to this model. Not having USB c is even more important defect cause bluetooth has lags. And with a design like this it could have included the connector in both sides to give every possibility when placing a phone.
@@neoroger510 Well not my case but have read that competitive players won't rely speed on Bt controllers over cabled ones. Having type c connection also solves charging while playing issue, so yeah big miss for me too. Not that pivoting c type models from this brand are that successful either, some eventually will fail, that one, regretably has been my case
I mean unless you are a super sweaty player. As a casual player and Ive tested this controller with PUBG Mobile and Wuthering waves. Its quite good, the delay is acceptable
Good but only available on Android phone...
3.5mm?
Did we really have a backbone problem?
If you like good camera sensors, yes.
I like that I can also add a cooling device
You can use this controller with the game cloud you can play fc24 right and jaun bagnell can you make a vid of where you use the controller to play fc24 pls
